When you are no more Malcom (which I pray will be no time soon) people like myself will make a pilgrimage to your home and library to pay homage to the beautiful life you led, God bless and Slainte!
My bookshelf is ready to receive this volume. And it made me smile to see that talented young man joining you in a pipe. This was another great video visit.
😄How lovely that Stephen came prepared to smoke a pipe with you. There’s something Merry Brandybuck-like about him. 😊These will indeed be lovely books. How pleased I was to find them in the Rabbit Room’s newsletter.
Can you imagine sitting in this wonderful room, full of books, pipes and memories, listening to the stories and smoking a pipe? It must be magical! Best wishes from Germany! Five Lake Pipe Smoker 🍂 🔥 💨
Thanks Malcolm Guite for reminding us that art, much like literature is in conversation with minds and personalities from olden times in the distant past converging on the topic humanity. Stephen Crott through actively collaborating with you is putting a modern twist on an Arthurian tradition to be passed down to the generations. But I wonder if Britain weren't so invested in hierarchy and monarchy, would it still be obsessing over lineage?
Many of us ‘ordinary people’ have interesting lineages and interesting stories to tell, sometimes more so than monarchy etc. I feel my lineage and life stories are no less than those of perceived hierarchy, but I suppose in some way it depends on how you see yourself. I feel no less an individual than any of the monarchy our stories are just different and each interesting in their own ways.
You know there's something good going on when a comments sections is so filled with positivity and joyful anticipation as this one. Bless you Malcolm, thank you for all you do.
I must say, this is the furthest in advance I have ever found myself anticipating a book! The objects of my other interests (cinema, video games and tabletop games) all have long timespans, but this is the first book I'm aching to get my hands on long before its publication. All incredibly exciting indeed!
Good Evening 😊 Awesome That Steven is to help with the illustration 👏🏼 Another Fantastic Episode👌🏽Thanks For The Read 📖 Have a wonderful day and Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
Not if I beat you to it! The verse and rhyme structure is so delightful and magical, it's the sort of book that not only was read to me as a child and filled my heart with my passion for literature and writing, but also exactly the sort of book I want to read to my own children someday to pass that joy to them.
I'm sure you already know this but I feel like it can't hurt to repeat. Your videos are truly wonderful and after watching one, I'm always filled with a sense of peace and curiosity which helps me to reconnect with the whimsical and fantastic all around me, which is so easy to lose in this fast-paced and digitized world.
I see that lovely custom pipe is seeing a lot of use, Malcolm! Your videos have become part of my post-work relaxation routine. I call it "washing off the day".
What a lovely video! I am enjoying the epilogue immensely - as much as I can when faced with rural wifi, which is capricious at the best of times. I eagerly anticipate your book! I am sure it will be beautiful.
What a true gift, to be able to sketch and draw as amazing as this, something I am completely incapable of and a fine pairing of these two talented Gentlemen. Thank You Both.
I am so looking forward to the publication of your Arthuriad! It looks like it will be quite a harmonious marriage of two art forms with the art of Stephen Crotts illustrating your poetry.
Dear Malcolm, a beautifully illustrated book is a wonderful thing; I can't wait to get hold of a copy of yours! I had often wondered about the portrait pearched on mantelpiece - great to meet the artist. Keep up the good work and every blessing.
Malcolm I look forward to each and every video and as a Tolkien fan I can say you bring the magic from your readings from The Hobbit that I felt as a young man, God bless!
Malcolm! Love your videos So much dude. If u saw me in person you’d never think I like hearing about the things u say in these things, I’m COVERED in tattoos, kinda rough around The edges..but your videos are some of my favorites, hope all is well friend. God Bless.
As you read the epilogue, I wondered if an illustration of the Feast of Mikelus as a starting illustration, as you mentioned its importance; it seems these type of illustrations could add to the overall effect of new illustrations of more common scenes.
I'm afraid I get so many letters now, so many more than I can actually answer, that I dont share my address anymore as I would be unable to reply, but thanks for asking
Could you please tell me which books are the best to read about Arthur and all the adventures that were written about him and the knights of the round table ? Thank you
Dear Malcom - I wanted to buy you a couple of pints for you to enjoy during your spare time. If you ever set foot in São Paulo, Brazil please let us know - me and my wife will love to see you for food and drinks. Many blessings, Carlos
England / the "Emerald Isle" is considered to typify the ending of the 4th keynote / start of the 5th keynote (4th green color on the rainbow) or the "morning star" / Venus (dry land).. As continental Europe is the sanctuary or the waters or the "dark ages" hence people being dubbed the "morning star of the reformation" rising out of the darkness of the belly of the whale (Dagon fish cult = leviathan = Levi+thanni according to John Gill)... England is also considered to be very well known for its sheep herding / lambskins cult of the Masonic Templars = land / lamb beast with the 2 horns of Jachin and Boaz calling fire down from heaven in Revelation 13:13. England is also considered to be descended from the lost son of Ephraim = the 10 lost tribes / 10 kings of Revelation. Naturally if one travels throughout America on the Fourth of July, you have the local priest kings of every town in America dress up as lambs and parade themselves in front of the townspeople in hopes of being perceived as lambs rather than the "wolf among the sheep". You can contrast this to very primitive African American tribal leaders who dress up as fish as the high priest of the Pleiades / Dagon fish cult being of course the water beast. Edit* I should add, this explains the three middle colors of the poem "a coming of Arthur" Flame-colour, vert and azure (yellow, green and sky blue) three middle colors of the rainbow in order. As these represent priest and king (as the end goal of masonry is joining priest and king under one office)
When you are no more Malcom (which I pray will be no time soon) people like myself will make a pilgrimage to your home and library to pay homage to the beautiful life you led, God bless and Slainte!

yes, he's very like Merry!
It’s his curly hair.
Haha, such a comfy room with two people. Three people and it's all tipping pipes and books falling over like dominoes.
Stephen is remarkable. A wonderful pairing for this project.
Can you imagine sitting in this wonderful room, full of books, pipes and memories, listening to the stories and smoking a pipe? It must be magical!

Five Lake Pipe Smoker 🍂 🔥 💨
What a pleasure it would be to sit in the study and share a pipe, a pint, and some prose with this magnificent fellow.
I sit in my bedroom area, smoking my Peterson, with a beverage, listening to Malcom.
He touches my soul every time I listen to him read.
All I can say is it brings me joy to see two artists immersed in the pleasure of sharing ideas.
And smoking their pipes !
And yet again we are blessed with the Word Wizard!!! Thank you Malcolm!!
Word Wizard I like that 🧙

I think a so called 'ordinary' person has just as great a lineage to be proud of as any king or queen, though sadly it is not so well recorded
@@MalcolmGuitespellIndeed. And well said.
Malcolm, your videos are helping me get through a very dark spell, so thank you.

Thank you Malcolm. I was transported to the age of chivalry, a fading gem, in that bit of verse.

The best TH-camr to ever do it 👊
You have inspired me to read more high fantasy and even wish to read Phantastes when my reading list gets a bit smaller lol
Are we able to buy a print Stephen made of you on your mantle? I’d love to buy one if available.
I would like to know as well, thanks!
I'm sure if you wrote to Stephen via his website, you could ask him, www.scrotts.com/new-page

Thanks. the Print was to go with an essay on pipe smoking in a book called Ordinary Saints. I guess you could always ask Stephen Crotts for a copy!
Arthur meeting Taliesin to discuss Myrddin’s back story what a wonderful idea.

Thank you so much Malcolm and Arthur Taliesin a 8:32
Could you please tell me which books are the best to read about Arthur and all the adventures that were written about him and the knights of the round table ? Thank you
start with the retelling by roger Lancylyn Green
Very promising sounding collab. Enjoy!
Malcolm tidied up for his guest, and it didn’t quite workout with those rouge books that fell.
Have you guys seen the illustrations by “BB” aka Denys Watkins Pitchford - brilliant artist and writer, plus a pipe smoker to boot!!

Quite interesting.
Malcolm, did you ever watch the film The Green Knight?
I watched the opening but couldn't get on with it, so I stopped, completely failed to catch the spirit of the poem, which I love
Oh my gosh, I thought my desk is messy 😅
I wonder if your Arthuriad is set to become your magnum opus?
Was that a woodcut?
I don't think so, but the illustrations for my Arthuriad will be woodcuts!
I smoke weed. Would I enjoy a tobacco pipe with pipe tobacco?
I think they got rid of every flavored tobacco in California..
It smells like tobacco and old books. Cozy.
Stephen Crotts has some design nous... pity he has no drawing skills.
Please expand on this comment. I'd love to hear more here. From what I've seen, is final published product is always top notch.
