Him, Joe Montana, Kurt Warner. And the list goes on. It’s all proof the draft has always been and always will be pure hype. The picks themselves are almost always worth more than the actual players selected with those picks.
the craziest thing about brady's career is that if you subtract his first year in which he didnt play, and 2008 when he was out for the entire season except for the first quarter of the first game, he only missed the playoffs ONE YEAR.
@@wingmannj no the playoff SUCCESS was most certainly Brady (and great Belichick defenses) but I was just saying the fact that it wasn't hard to be the top seed in our division helped with never missing the playoffs
@@aidenm-s4463 Yup you sound like a real Brady fan when the first thing out of your mouth is to try to belittle his exploit by citing the AFC East issues but forget to mention that 10 of his 16 games is not against the AFC East which is close to 2/3 of his games. Yup you really sound like a great fan with a fan like you who needs ennemies? You must have forgotten massive fan that he went 11-3 and 14-2 and 14-2 for his first 3 SB bound regular seasons. How did he win those games if it was not against teams that were not part of the AFC east dumpster fire? Please enlighten like a massive Brady fan would?
@@mikemurray726 Well if you exclude Tristan Whirfs, Gronk, Fournette, AB all those players were either signed or drafted after Brady’s requested their addition to the roster also they signed or re-signed a few key defensive players after Brady’s arrival as well. So if you consider having 6 or 7 of your regular players out of 22 a negligible variance we must be using a different mathematical matrix. You must be another Brady hater in disguise with your belittling comments. Just a pretty good QB how many pretty good QB do you know that have 7 rings and 10 SB appearances won win 2 different franchises. The man who found Tom Brady?????? Tom Brady played for Michigan and was well known in all football circles. Brady threw for 350 yards in his final game against Alabama...and nobody knew him??? The four most important elements of a NFL QB are 1) Arm 2) Height 3) Brain 4) Legs Brady had the three most important QB factors Unfortunately most NFL MGs and HCs do not understand what makes a good QB.
basically there were other qb's at michigan and in the draft that checked more of the boxes than brady. his football iq and his icy mentallity, ability to not be phased by adversity, put him over the top.
If you watch the Brady 6 documentary there were certainly QB's taken ahead of him that deserved to be and a few exceptions that were slaps in the face. Brady was viewed as a questionable NFL talent for the reasons stated in the video. The main reasons were his sharing of time with Henson his senior year regardless of his effectiveness and his lack of superlative speed or athleticism. Per Brady, Henson had all of those intangibles. So, come draft time it's about drumming up interest. There was very little interest around the league despite his success. No one was talking about him and Carr stated he only received a call from the Patriots about him. If they didn't take him he likely wouldn't have been drafted.
Bro he was literally not going to be drafted if the Patriots didn't watch his film, people like you are so annoying LMAO. "WELL ACTUALLY HE DIDNT EVEN PLAY D2 FOOTBALL", he didn't even start every game his senior year LMAO. He was barely on anyones radar
Brady not being a star at Michigan is a myth based on his draft positions. Brady was voted team MVP of a top 5 team. Guys who are voted team MVP are considered stars. Also Street and Smith was extremely high on Brady. And said he would be an immediate star.
What video do you wan to see next?
Anything Joe Montana!
Thank you for making this video. Very few people give Dick R. the credit he deserves.
he is a legend
👋😃
Nice docu...I didn't know about the scout that found Brady.
thank you for watching!
Coach. It was the QB's coach that scouted him.
Wow never knew that story about the man who picked Brady. Being a huge Pats fan that was great to see! Thank you 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video. Tom Brady is the epitome of mental toughness, and the Dick Rehbein story is both inspiring and sad.
thank you so much! It is a great story
This man is incredible, excellent player
sure is
Underrated channel! Subscribed!
Much appreciated!

draft is broken
great video!
Thanks!
Kind of hard to be offered a scholarship to Michigan and be discovered. Many big time schools knew who he was in high school.
no one thought he would be an NFL level player

that's INSANE
I say this as a MASSIVE Brady fan but let's be real that's mainly a product of 2 decades of a garbage AFC East
@@aidenm-s4463 14 conference championship games and ten superbowls, perhaps that had a minor contribution.

This guy goes to another team and wins the SB first year. That’s impressive
yeah it is
Meh.
Does not hurt team was built and just needed a pretty good quarterback.

Tom Brady is the G.O.A.T and Raybine knew how good he could be!!!! Tom really respected Raybine!!!
Rehbein was the man! He knew how to draft them
Discovered ? He did go to U of Michigan. And won multiple come back games and The Orange Bowl. Now if he played D2 / D3 ball …..

I don't think that staff really believed in him the way the Pats did
he wasnt athletic. drew henson was an athletic stud, the coaches favored him but brady just performed better in game.

yes
20 and 5 as a starter anthry say it's ok carreer that's pretty damn good to me
it wasnt bad
