ooh yay, you mentioned sewing and quilting, my love language. I've been working on my sewing room all week and my brain is fried from all the decisions. A lot of the questions revolved around "what was I thinking?!?" but progress has been made. 2 more days of work left until mom flies home. Tomorrow my daughter and DIL are coming to spend the day and help too, though with 8 or so kids here it is a bit of a circus in the best possible way. I just asked my mom when she got the pfaff I use and we figured it out that it is probably 50 years old. Isn't that wild? She is a master quilter and I was hoping to get deeper into the quilt cottons but all the other stuff has taken precedence. Tomorrow we bring a large load to donate to our local free thrift ministry. I have several totes that are empty and several projects that I need to complete, including some long overdue mending/altering. I am kind of hyped up about it all. It is so wonderful to have extra help with family as we can visit and update each other and encourage each other also. I know that I am quite blessed to have my 85 year old healthy mom visiting from thousands of miles away. So, I hope you get the chance to work with your daughter with quilting. As an artist she is likely to have some lovely ideas about it all. (I am just mathy about it, haha.)
Karen, you really showed a real change in your decluttering mindset on this one. You are no longer unsure about what really matters to you. Having a home and possessions that work for you not against you. I had a cricket years ago as part of my fantasy “master crafter self” and once I got rid of it and the other craft clutter it was a huge burden lifted. I realized I don’t even like doing crafts, it gives me anxiety. 😝. I like your prayer story because I know that we are children of a loving God so what matters to us matters to Him and He and Jesus Christ are in the details of our lives. ❤️
Yes, I think the more I declutter the more I realize how little I actually want. The freedom is addictive in the best way! Amen to God being so loving! I’m so thankful for Jesus! 💗💗
The cricket was given to you ....answered prayer :) maybe there is someone out there also praying for one and you could be their answer to prayer. I would bless someone else and give it away.
Donate it or give to a friend . Your not out any money for it and the cords are technically compromised. You know you wont give it a second thought when its gone . Set yourself free Karen ! Haha really enjoyed this video ❤❤
I laughed out loud at the " fantasy " declutter. My hubby and I were just thinking of donating a fairly arge humidifier off a shelf, because we haven't used for past two winters. Then we have a home for our portable air conditioner off the floor of our closet.
Office looks great! I went thru paperwork and shredded what I no longer need and worked on new budget book for this year. Also, started organizing pantry as doing no spend pantry challenge..as much as possible. I dated everything and put oldest in front and planning menus to use them 1st. Have a declutter box going. Organized freezer also. I stock up when see great sales, but, need to use up for a while now. Its easy for things to get shoved in back and forget about them till not usable and I hate wasting. On leftovers, if its freezable, I freeze and then have easy meals later or lunches for my daughter to take to work. Its a continuous process, this decluttering. I enjoy watching utubers such as yourself to learn new tips and get motivated! Thank you for sharing. Oh, I have fantasy self items too...trying to let go of some. 😊😂😅
Also, Karen, when you said Minimalist home, I think more like Merina once said on the fearfully created channel "Minimalism My Way" I liked that when she said it. Also, OMG you should do some episodes on quilting. I've always wanted to learn. Or any of those things our ancestors have taught us that are lost arts. Look at you!! My dad passed away in March and I would love to make some quilts for my mom, and my siglings with his clothes. He had a lot of fun shirts lots of them and It would be cool to incorporate them
Donate the cricket, trying to sell it will just be another job you have to do. I have let go of the fantasy cook I wanted to be. So all those kitchen gadgets and spices are gone. Also my over stocked pantry, I am working through it and not over buying. I love to travel even if its just a day trip like your husband did, I remind myself the less I spend on other things the more I have for new adventures.
💪 Your decluttering muscles are so strong! It's a big breakthrough when you can get real with yourself and just say "use it or lose it" to those fantasy self items. Since it's fully functional, I would sell the Cricut stuff as a package and be forthcoming with buyers about the imperfections that will be reflected in the price.
You could donate the cricut to a church for vacation bible school or religion classes too. To protect cords in the future there’s a black plastic sort of tubing that’s split on one side to cover cords. I use it here all over because of cats an when I have puppies too
Really enjoyed the video. Your office looks so nice and clean. I think I will go in mine and work for a while. One of these years. It will be nice and organized like yours.
Oh my gosh! I would so much like to buy your cricut and stuff. No worries about cat chewed wires. They would just join my other cords that Chappie chewed! I’ll email you to see if you are interested in selling it! ❤ hugs Em
I had friends that were going to Seminary and their first room didn’t have a bathroom and they had to go down the hall to a shared bath. The wife kept praying for a room that had a private bathroom. So, they got the room and it was barely big enough for the bed. She had such a hard time maneuvering in it. She told me she would be more specific with her prayers.
Karen if I lived closer I would for sure buy the circuit because I have been looking for one to play with. Mostly because I want to make tee shirts. Honestly that is the only reason I would likely be buying it. lol Also so juelly of all your washi tapes. You have been collecting them for a long time. so fun.
Nice ferry pictures! Hubby and I did a lighthouse boat tour in Portland last October! 😃 I’ve been selling/donating a lot of stuff lately! Feels great! The what ifs and the fantasy self stuff are great when we overcome those hang ups! 🎉
Selling items is part of my fantasy self so if the Cricuit were mine, I'd give it to a friend. Anytime I touch something and say "maybe" I know it's part of my fantasy self. Thank goodness my decluttering skills are getting stronger because (for me) the stress of decision making is exhausting. PS: You sold me on ZEP - it's now on my "to buy" list.
I had both the Cricut Maker and the Exolore Air 2 and never used either of them. I sold them both but then I paid for both and I really needed the money. And yes, replacement parts are available. I wouldn’t throw the press away. It’s still usable.
Yes my skin splits - I have lupus and sjogrens also and the dryness of sjogrens makes my skin very thin so anything tears it - my pets - 24:26 bumping them on anything and Lupus makes it take forever to heal - my arms always have so many skin tears
Maybe it would be better to freeze leftovers as a tv dinner style? I freeze all of my left overs because of other issues, but it makes it handy when I have no spoons of energy to cook.
Donate it to the church youth group, maybe they can make some t shirts for themselves and crafts to sell. I had the second generation Cricut and got rid of it last summer. I don't miss it. I need to declutter fantasy self clothing!
I would try to sell it. I have some decluttering boxes in the basement. I´m waiting for spring to get rid of them. I always give them away to people who sell on flea markets. But since it´s winter there are no markets. (I don´t have a thrift store near me to bring the stuff.) I have so much (nice and quite expensive) decor which I never use. I thought about selling (flea market/garage sale) but I don´t know if it´s worth my time and effort. I´m going to see how I feel comes spring. Hugs!
iF IT HELPS WITH THE stuff I may regret, I take them put them in the car for donation for a couple days and If I don't think about them, they are gone.
I would sell it they could have it tested by an electrician . Someone is going to love it Karen. They could even set up a cottage industry doing graphic shirts. Someone will buy it for sure. 💐
Sell it but identify issues in the description. I have the exact one sitting around my guest room. I need to sell it because I did pay for it. My fantasy self does a lot of crafts, decorate everything, and hosts all the time.
If it has teeth marks but not all the way through, I think it is sellable. If it it's all the way through it think you can sell it as well, but a bit cheaper. You can put it in the description and maybe a picture. Then they can decide for themselves if they accept it. I repair cable breaks with electrocal tape and can use it for years.
I would sell it because that would be a nice bundle for someone who would love to have it at a good price. I don't think it would be hard to sell on Facebook marketplace and you would have the money for a fun activity with your daughter
Sell the cricket. The heater thingy just put a notice AS IS . Or if you have a friend that would love and use it. Give it to them. Less hassle with selling and shipping. Make sure you really explain the cord issue.
Donate the cricket to an elementary school. The teachers would love to have it
Great point! 😃
I have never worn sweats. I am weird.

Fantasy clutter is so hard sometimes! Good reminder about taking care of those small jobs that are an ongoing annoyance.
Hi Karen. I'd sell the cricut and throw the heat press and remnant rolls in for free at pickup. Thanks for sharing!
The cricket was given to you ....answered prayer :) maybe there is someone out there also praying for one and you could be their answer to prayer. I would bless someone else and give it away.
I love that idea. Decluttering my fantasy self. Definitely my sewing stuff.
And thanks for sharing the prayer story
WOW!! Bible in 90 day reading plan??? I am SO proud of you that is an amazing feat.
I would gift it (circuit) pay it forward, bless someone else … ❤❤❤
Donate it or give to a friend . Your not out any money for it and the cords are technically compromised. You know you wont give it a second thought when its gone . Set yourself free Karen ! Haha really enjoyed this video ❤❤

Thanks for the motivation. I didn’t declutter much but did get dishes laundry an vacuuming done
The effort in the office really shows. Looks like a great space to have for your work.
I'd bless someone else that would really love it.

You could also put the seasonal washi tape in each seasonal box. If you don't use them when you get to that season give them away 🤷🏽♀️. Take care xx

Nice decluttering Karen I did that today whoohoo

Love the decluttering mood and that you immediately went through the planner! Inspiring!
Thank you!! 😃

❤❤❤
The color book for grown ups that were so popular a few yrs ago. I still have 3 not touched
Oh yes! Good one! 😃
Yes my skin splits - I have lupus and sjogrens also and the dryness of sjogrens makes my skin very thin so anything tears it - my pets - 24:26 bumping them on anything and Lupus makes it take forever to heal - my arms always have so many skin tears
I purchased the exact same cricut machine with waaaayyyy too many accessories and never even took it out of the box.
I sold mine! I am very excited!! 💓
❤
My dad gets cuts on his ands and arms way more now than he ever used to do before. He says it is because his skin is getting thin (due to aging).
Maybe it would be better to freeze leftovers as a tv dinner style? I freeze all of my left overs because of other issues, but it makes it handy when I have no spoons of energy to cook.
Maybe keep a neutral throw over the back of the blue couch..
Al;so, I am obsessed with planners and buying them but I am terrible at followthrough with itl. sighs.
Sell as is..people will jump on the opportunity to buy it.
I would donate it 😊
When you come to Portland let me know, I’d love to take the ferry, it’s been a long time since I’ve done that. I live only 30mins from Portland
You can totally sell the circut stuff, they are used so dont worry about the cable thing, you will reduce the price.
Donate it to the church youth group, maybe they can make some t shirts for themselves and crafts to sell. I had the second generation Cricut and got rid of it last summer. I don't miss it. I need to declutter fantasy self clothing!

Attempt to sell Cricket for money you need for quilting, sewing machine tuneup. If it doesn't sell, donate.

I would give it to a friend. I’m sure they can get a cord off of Amazon 😊
I would look into if cord can be replaced. That will give final answer if donate or sell.
Great idea! 💡
Sell it and get what you need to teach quilting 💚
Sell the cricket. The heater thingy just put a notice AS IS . Or if you have a friend that would love and use it. Give it to them. Less hassle with selling and shipping. Make sure you really explain the cord issue.
I agree, thanks Sherry! 😍
I'd sell ir I'm sure you can get replacement cords.
I would sell it and have price reflect the cords.
Post on marketplace with full disclosure, give yourself a time limit. If it doesn't sell, then donate it.
Sell it, with disclosure of cord condition❗️ you’ve got a family event you’re saving up for 💵💸
Sell cricut and throw in the other stuff!
I would try to sell. Offer everything in sale. No takers then give away.
Donate and be done with it.
