Try numbering or color coding your containers and lids so you don’t have to keep them together. Mark a number or color dot on the bottom of the container and a matching number or color dot on the top then just stack them inside each other to save space. You can take a large container, a cardboard box or a plastic bag to hold all of the lids in one place. For the chipped China you can use the cups to make candles in.
Keeping my plastic Tupperware type container drawer is a constant battle for me. Every time I reorganize it I vow to keep it that way, but alas it doesn't last. I love that pink scale and I think it is perfect for you. I use a very basic digital scale, which I use. I kept my very old non digital one for a back up.😊
My mum had that set of crockery when we were growing up, blast from the past! I would keep it Jane, as it would look lovely in your home! Take care, Laura ❤
Had a massive water leak in my kitchen. Kitchen has been fixed so now I have tons of boxes to go through and it's the perfect time to get rid of things.
I like to store my containers in baskets. I found some at the thrift store that fit my shelves in the cupboard. I particularly like being able to pull the basket out and not having yo get down on my knees to see what is on each shelf it works well for me. Of course my best tip was to get rid of some that I "might use someday"!!!!
Hi Jane I did my plastic cupboard and my bedside cabinet .how many broken glasses I was holding on too just in case haha .feels better thou .Next thing is my food cupboard with all the rice pasta snd cereals. You do feel good after it's done .its just kakeing that effort .your cupboard looked good and be good if you did a course on mosaics x
While I listened to you I looked up some items online, wrapped a package, mixed up a cake mix for dinner, then checked and replied to some emails. I have started the laundry and will start on cutting a new mat for a photo. I think we were on the same page! TY for getting me going. It is a miserable freezing rain out for us here. I love those pink scales. I want to see them in your kitchen!
Hi Jane, good video as always. Regarding the plastic takeaway containers, I pair up lids and bottoms and put them in 2 piles in the cupboard with the correct lids stacked in the matching bottoms. I buy and sell china and have sometimes been caught out with china that has flaws that are hard to spot until you get them home. This mainly happens at car boot sales when the bright sunlight seems to bounce off the glaze and you can miss fine hairlines, glaze crazing and that the backstamp has been scratched through to mark them as seconds (taking a good chunk off the value). Even in more normal lighting you can sometimes miss fine crazing and hairlines but these always show up if you soak them for a few minutes as you wash them. You could try selling the damaged ones as one lot with a really honest title and description. I find chipped items are hard to sell but if they are undamaged but have a lot of utensil marks I state that they'll 'be perfect to keep as spares' or 'will blend in with the set you use every day' and you may find someone who will be perfectly happy with that.
Yes Jane..Im decluttering also..gently....my young man is heading away for 6 months in March..and I will have a lot of time on my hands. Thats when the serious deep clean and decluttering starts. Carboot sale hopefully, charity shops and just giving away...its overwhelming at times..
Our local charity thrift shops are packed to the gills already. Trying to figure out what to do with all this stuff. That's too good to go to the trash bin but I don't want sitting around the house. I'm not one to do Facebook marketplace or eBay.

Living in the Southeast ( South Carolina ) USA… yes, still have Pampered Chef parties… very popular with my friends here.
I'm decluttering. Reuse. Repurpose and a few new items for my home.I enjoy your videos
Awesome! Thank you!

Oh no! What a pain
@@ShoestringJane yes! no kitchen since early October. But all is good now

The larger yogurt pots with lids and handles make good paint kettles if you need to decant some paint from a large economy tin.

I'm still going through the cupboards - done about 50% now and really don't know why I kept some stuff!
I use the yoghurt pots in the garden or for paint. They do go brittle over time though.
Yes, I am still decluttering. Though I have a lot of stuff to go through.

Wash tomato sauce containers with cool water and they won’t stain!
I painted some cupboards in Frenchic paint. I followed the instructions, but mine has chipped just like your pink unit x
There’s a paint called fusion mineral paint, it’s supposed to be good, I’m going to try it.
It gets like that
The pink unit…. Is the scuff from the hoover? Mine was on my skirting board. Just a thought
Yes I thought that first, but I am quite careful not to bash it with the hoover. Will see if it happens again but hopefully not
@@ShoestringJane Fingers crossed you've resolved it now
It might be your hoover that's marked your pink unit
I thought that but sure I would have noticed if I was crashing into it. Reckon it was the chairs at Christmas most probably
🥰

You could put it outside your house with a free sign? Or offer it on Freecycle?
Jane, have you ever tried fusion mineral paint? I’m going to try it, it’s supposed to be really tough. X
No I haven’t but off off to look!
@@ShoestringJane👍🏻🙂
I like your videos but the last few indoor ones have a hum noise. Are you able to fix this?
I can’t hear any humming noise 🤔
I can’t hear a hum either. I just film on my iPhone - that’s as sophisticated as it gets. Not sure why you can hear that but hope it stops
