I'll explain the problem practically you, having removed the speaker, the body remained soft and you stuffed it with cotton the problem that the cotton had to make it reach the top so the head no longer has the problem that hangs
For Woody's back I would suggest using white thread instead of the string because that string won't probably last very long. Thread on the other, I think is very strong for holding something together. Also stitching the vest tightly to his torso would be a lovely touch.
And as for the head I think you would be better off replacing the zip tie and tightening it, to the point where his head doesn't flop around to the point of it falling off.
@@NikolaiTedeschi4 Also for the collection boots, the bottoms of them can come off easily as the thing holding them together with the legs, is felt under the joint, so if you like shoved something down the boots and pushed down really hard, you could remove them and cut off the bottom of the old boots with a scissors and glue them onto the bottoms, so you could keep your date stamp on the bottom of the shoe.
