Why is CIA tasking British SAS Opretors to do their work? Shouldn't CIA be sending Delta Force or SEALs or someone else? It is a big plot hole to show Soap, Ghost and Price in the game.

I would like to make a special mention to that last mission for failing to notify you that you're suppose to get shot by Hassan. Can't tell you how many times I restarted my checkpoint because I thought I messed up on the takedown.
Why would it notify you? That takes away the suprise element? If it came up with a pop up menu saying relax, youre supposed to get shot it takes away from the drama of the story.
@@XalphosaurX Funny, I don't recall the surprise element being taken away when you got the "Objective Failed" in MW3 when Makarov opened the helicopter door.

one major thing for me is how it doesn't get close to the edge anymore it doesn't make you question stuff. I think a big one with a lot of this stuff now is just they're to afraid to make those kinda moves with call of duty, even though they're about the brutality of war like in mw3, you see a child get killed by a chemical gas bomb, its there to make a point, considering the game is about terrorism etc among other things bit weird to dial it back the game just doens't really make sense stuff just happens theres no build, you know immediatly shephard is the bad right out the gate, they don't skirt on the edge anymore its playing it safe even with the story its just ehh
Bro tf are you talking about, in MW2019 there’s dead kids from Russian gas, terrorists shooting kids in the embassy, price and gaz using the butcher’s wife and kid as hostages, and this is only talking about stuff that involves kids 💀
On top of that they don’t even want to kill anyone one, a big part of mw2 was the shocking betrayal of Shepard with the death of Ghost and Roach, it motivated you to go after him but in this not even a side character like Rodolfo can be killed off
In the end of the first remake we find out the new villain is victor Zakheav, he gets killed off in Warzone, Al-Asad is revealed to still be at large, he never appeared since his introduction, he came out as an operator, but that's it. Why build up a big character, and not have them in the sequel?
@@asrieldreemurrthebestestbo1716 that part will always urk me. They could’ve replaced Hassan and had it be Al-Assad and it wouldn’t change anything really, or at least have him be the general that gets bombed. You know, it really irks me when Modern Military games get weapons completely wrong, in a "we didn't even Google search what this is or what it does" kind of way. It would be like if the next FIFA game had Tom Brady on the US team, just because that's a recognizable "sports" name. Like, "ballistic missiles with homing targeting devices" and "the top secret super chemical weapon, chlorine gas". JFC.
Bc Canada couldn't even invade Greenland if they wanted to, have you seen a typical 21st century Canadian lately? Not to mention thier military has been depleted to the bare minimum completely unable to do anything militarily other than tag along with the US as they go invade whatever the next target is.
To be fair, it is a reboot and not a remake. Does that change anything about how soulless this game is? No. Is it almost worse since the developers couldn't be bothered to stick to what even made the original appealing in the first place? Yes.
Ghost's redesign is pretty bad too. The original was simple and realistic: Just a regular guy with sunglasses and a skull scarf. The redesign looks like a tryhard cosplayer on Halloween
I mean.... i guess if I had selective hearing, I'd have the same opinion as you. because theres shit ton of personal opinions in this video. but i guess it's lovely to be able to completely ignore that when said opinion is presented with a facade of objectivity and professionalism
Another game sin: Instead of letting Price & the rest of the 141 handle the mission in Chicago, Laswell should've used Delta Force instead since they have the same skills as Price's team.
So hiding in shipping containers is actually very smart. Alot easier to transport, can include all the electronics needed for remote launch alot harder to identify as a missle PLUS do you have any idea how many shipping containers enter and exit the US on a daily basis. It would be near impossible to check each and every one. Also its AC-130; the C-130 is just the transport version of the aircraft (no guns). Btw love your content just had to me tion those things from early in video
There is already a russian container-launched missile called the club-k and the chinese are working on their own called the YJ-18C, the US developing or having a system of their own isn't a particularly wild idea.
Shadow Company's betrayal is the dumbest story beat in this game. 141 had NO evidence nor had any idea that Shadow Company delivered the missiles, so turning on 141 actually did more harm than good. Also, the scene itself might be the dumbest thing I've seen in a COD game. Graves is just like: "Hey, this is my base now. Me and my PMC are just going to take this base and DETAIN the Mexican Special Forces inside for NO REASON." Who writes this shit?
*8:07 actually, if I may, while operating in Mexican airspace most likely would be illegal, the obtaining of the gunship could happen. So you see, there are C-130s being privately sold and operated, so Shadow Company couldve bought a C-130, somehow obtain a 40mm bofors, 25mm and 105mm howitzer and rig it on, and obtain other essential gear. It’s unlikely, but it could happen
Still messed up on some. It’s an AC-130 gunship not a C-130 gunship. Even then it’s not even based off a C-130 hull so idk what that thing is actually supposed to be.
One thing I should say, is that this isn't a remake. Not in any sense of the word. This has been clarified by Infinity Ward several times when 2019's Modern Warfare was coming out, that this is a reboot. A completely new story, separate from the original aside from characters and a few rewritten story beats.
I only completed the campaign for the skins and tokens lol. It really wasn't that notable to me to be honest aside from the occasional quirk. I also noticed that the campaign difficulty was a massive increase from previous titles.
2:30 the villian wasn't written out they just decided to tie up the plotline in fucking warzone of all things. the first six season endings are about that plot.
The inclusion of Blackwater, sorry, Shadow Company and Wagner, sorry, Russian ultra-nationalist PMCs whose names are so forgettable, I can't remember their name of the top of my head, makes me think they're going to go for a not-Blackwater vs not-Wagner mission in the next game.
I am not going to defend CoD in anyway but I just want to nuance the opening of the video for anyone that hasn't played this game, or the old ones. MW2 2022 isn't a remake, it's a reboot, and the plot is indeed very different but it follows the exact same development as the OG MW2, taking you to comparable locations, with similar objectives. There already is a remaster of the original campaign out there.
In real life, they would have tortured the Iranian AND the narco chick for DAYS. They would have extracted all the info they could have possibly needed from them before making them "disappear". But it's 2022. Everything has to be PC and watered down lol. Which is why they didn't have the guts to make "No Russian" a playable level again! This game's campaign is a joke.
This game is literally the movie Act of Valor just with a shady pic, a general that betrayed his country, Irish guys, Brits, and ballistic missiles not explosive vests. Hell even the guy that voices Alejandro in this game sounds like the guy who lead the Mexican special forces in the movie and looks like that actor if he grew his hair out.
6:20 If we're gonna get really technical, there's also Soap and Yuri from back in MW3, so that's not the case. It's just that unlike older IW, the current writers can't bring themselves to actually off any of the protagonists.
For Laswell not getting help, they offer to help her but don’t shoot because they don’t wanna shoot her. It’s literally the first dialogue in that cut scene. At least do the research
7:20 you do this every so often in your sin videos and i never understood it. Why can’t Alejandro be here? He helps diversify the already boring cast. Its not even trying hard to make the story more palletable. It’s just adding a character who can represent the good side of the conflict that also ADDS to the story which Alejandro does since he’s a big part of this dry ass plot
Cast isn’t boring (in my opinion), but it is a bit odd that TF141 is solely comprised of Brits and Scotsman. Farah doesn’t really count because she’s leading an army and Alex is “dead.” Adding Alejandro was fine.
@@kingkocoa4467 I wouldn’t say they’re boring, I guess that’s a bad description of how I actually feel. I think they’re very dry, they have fun surface level personalities but not much beyond that so I guess dry
I know the video can’t cover all the sins so it won’t be too long, so here’s some more sins that did not get put in. - driving through a cartel held town in a convoy of 3 identical black SUVs thinking the cartel would not be tipped off. - the random times the operators will decide to wear or not wear a helmet. Bullets, shrapnel, and even rocks can kill if they hit somebody in the head. Helmets help prevent that. - graves massacres an entire town looking for Hassan and cleaning out the cartel without intervention by the Mexican army, which is according to the game on the cartel’s payroll - That convoy was ridiculously long - Hassan took over a building and has hostages. The jurisdiction for that incident would not be the military, CIA, and British SAS. US marines are brought in the game to help clear the building. In reality the FBI would be taking point. The FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team, Chicago SWAT, and other police units would be taking point. -how did the CIA cover up a hostage taking in a building and a missile launch from Chicago. Chicago’s violence levels are bad, but it’s not cruise missile bad
Probably why he stated it’s like sports game, because it’s true. They can change up whatever fucking setting they want to for a certain quota, but they’ll never escape the mediocrity plaguing the series after Cold War dropped.
Dartigan's videos are very much like cocaine to me without the side effects, they are adictive as fuck and make me want more and more. Another great video as always
Great video, but I’d make to make a correction. The cop didn’t mean it to sound bigoted. In low light, at night, one man armed with an assault rifle and wearing a tactical vest, and the other wearing just a plain hoodie while waving around a handgun, in an area where the cartel operate can confuse any cop. I’d like you to make that call yourself in their shoes, especially after getting calls that cartel members and a terrorist have crossed the border and are now breaking and entering into people’s homes (probably assaulting some here or there). You’d probably do the exact same thing, keeping guns trained and barking orders until they are close enough to realize they are MSF and/or until you hear them explain their mission thereby matching a tip you received from a CIA agent. You turned that more political than it actually was. How about ding the cops for foolishly cuddling around rather than keeping eyes out for, you know, the fucking terrorist and cartel that are being chased down by said MSF they’ve just interrupted. Also, Gomez is a Hispanic name, so the one cuffing Al would have to be considered bigoted by your logic since he did so quickly and assertively. Ay di-s mío.
You know a game has some bad logic when someone like me can predict half the sins in a video After watching this, MW2 2022 campaign looks dumber/more ridiculous than MW2 Original............ And that game involved jumping a snowmobile to a LZ located across a 100m Canyon
I don’t understand the “bigoted” comment about that cop’s quote. They have cartel members from Mexico firing at people in the street, and two clearly Hispanic males with rifles and body armor are seen in the road. Is that not hard to tell the difference? Would you somehow make the assumption that Hispanic men with body armor and military-grade firearms walking down the street without jurisdiction to be there aren’t cartel? That’s not bigoted, it makes sense. I didn’t expect this video to be so overtly ignorant about “racism”. You should do some research into real life Mexican cartels. They do the exact things seen in this game to snitches. This isn’t some “racist American viewpoint”. Why would the developers include so many Mexican allied troops in the game and literally have you play as Mexican Special Forces if they didn’t like Mexicans?
Some other gripes i have with the game and i want to mention is that for one, the redesigns of shepherd and ghost suck. As you said, ghost is an edgelord and he is (plus i think he looks ridiculous with that mask while not wearing a helmet. Makes his face look small by comparison) and shepherd looks like any basic old man general rather than having a distinct look. Thank you for also mentioning the complete disregard for Zakhaev last game. I was originally under the impression that it was a prequel not a reboot, and then learning that THIS is what they’re rebooting it to brings up my other point. The plot line of this series has potential. But it’s screwed by the fact that Activision instead wants to name drop old characters and ruin a great trilogy. This series legit could have been like a continuation of the previous trilogy, with the antagonists such as Al Quatala, barkov, hassan, and graves all being vastly different than antagonists seen before (plus, these take place in 2019-2022, whereas the others were 2011-2017. So it could have absolutely been a continuation.) Another thing that ruins this for me is that Gaz, soap, and ghost have no real distinction to be gaz, soap, and ghost by name. Gaz could have stayed Kyle Garrick only and be his own character. This game in particular makes me feel like there’s no reason to have ghost and soap of the 141 involved other than “iT’S GhOsT aND SOaP FroM ThE 141” Their places could have been replaced with american soldiers because they have more reason to be directly involved with the main conflict due to it being in mexico/the US. (You know what character who is NOT confirmed dead that i would actually love to see in place of Ghost? Derek. “Frost”. Westbrook. Wouldve made much more sense to me) Graves betraying could have been interesting if he ran a different merc company and maybe did so of his own accord instead of rehashing the shepherd betrayal and making it incredibly obvious…. …. Wow, I actually wrote way more than i thought i would. But i think my point is made that this game could have been less annoying if it was its own story and not just a carbon copy of an iconic series.
I like it that he sinned the killing of an Iranian general. Im surprised you didn’t mention the US actually killed a top Iranian general in a drone strike in Afghanistan a few years ago.
"A completely different plot, which makes for a very poor remake" it's not a remake, it's a reboot. Meaning you take the original characters, a more or less similar context, and you make a completely new story.
i actually dont think the cops were that bigoted.. like, theyre saying it was hard at first glance to differentiate the *good* armed mexicans illegally entering the united states from the *bad* armed mexicans illegally entering the united states. Not reaaally that bigoted if you take like 1.2 seconds to think it over.
I just beat the campaign now I rate it a 5 out of 10. I loved the story, writing, characters, cutscenes, graphics and ending. I hated the flying mission, sniper mission, tank boss, the alone mission and alot of the missions I liked were to short.
Been watching these for a few years and I still say "fuck yeah!" when a new one drops. It's a constant mood. Also, any chance you could sin any of the infamous games or perhaps dragon age? It's always better when it's a game you love haha, I can't explain why.
You should’ve added 100 more sins for the fact that you can’t see your feet in campaign mode, but you can in multiplayer. MW (2019) did this too, and it bothered my soul. I haven’t seen anyone complain about it besides me.

You can just know by the video's title that the comment section will be filled with fanboys throwing insults at Dartigan. The best part is he doesen't even care about it.
5:38 I'm not so sure the cop was being bigoted when he made that statement. It's night time, the cartels were being hunted, and the cops just saw heavily armed Mexican SF walking towards them. That statement isn't really racist imo Also, this game, along with MW2019 aren't really remakes, since a remake would be something more like RE2R or FF7 remake (though that one might be a bit of a stretch since they deviate a lot from the og plot) It's its own continuity, while bringing in new characters and reintroducing ones from the original trilogy
Giving a sin for not knowing where a shipping container would be shipped since there are only so many shipping ports. Also. Giving a sin for finding out with military top secret clearance where the shipping container got shipped with the limited amount of shipping ports. Yup makes sense.
I was really disappointed in this remake compared to the original. Basically no development happens. The old game had a full-on war, here you're just chasing the same guy all game.
American squad ends up being the villain (except for the woman) and there are a dozen variants of the pride flag in multiplayer but not a single American flag to use for a banner. 50 sins.
I feared something like this would come true in Call of Duty. Ah, diversity. And by diversity, I mean no male Americans operating for America, ever. "Stupid office politics!" - Dave Norton (GTA 5)
11:29 If you pay attention to the story of warzone and the spec ops cutscenes from mw2019 it does make sense why Russia doesn't help, Plus the game takes place 3 years after The First campaign anyway.
The thing I hated most was that there were only like 4 hours of gameplay for the story. Paying 70 bucks for just the base game is nuts. The bugs aren't even cleaned up yet either. During the infiltration mission with Ghost, none of the buildings loaded in so I was just guessing where to tell Ghost to go the ENTIRE time.

Why is CIA tasking British SAS Opretors to do their work? Shouldn't CIA be sending Delta Force or SEALs or someone else? It is a big plot hole to show Soap, Ghost and Price in the game.
The new 141 makes no sense. In the original it was a large group of highly skilled soldiers from different nations put together by Shephard. Not just a small squad of British SAS chosen by price.

one major thing for me is how it doesn't get close to the edge anymore it doesn't make you question stuff.
I think a big one with a lot of this stuff now is just they're to afraid to make those kinda moves with call of duty, even though they're about the brutality of war
like in mw3, you see a child get killed by a chemical gas bomb, its there to make a point, considering the game is about terrorism etc among other things bit weird to dial it back
the game just doens't really make sense stuff just happens theres no build, you know immediatly shephard is the bad right out the gate, they don't skirt on the edge anymore its playing it safe even with the story its just ehh
Bro tf are you talking about, in MW2019 there’s dead kids from Russian gas, terrorists shooting kids in the embassy, price and gaz using the butcher’s wife and kid as hostages, and this is only talking about stuff that involves kids 💀

@@physical_insanity exactly, ts a game about war, its not some soft topic is harsh brutal, war crimes happen etc i wouldn't put ww2 as a mild thing
On top of that they don’t even want to kill anyone one, a big part of mw2 was the shocking betrayal of Shepard with the death of Ghost and Roach, it motivated you to go after him but in this not even a side character like Rodolfo can be killed off
That kind happened I MW19 with the "truth serum", The Butcher shooting a boy and the "we get our hands dirty and take the gloves off" thing
the dialogue between ghost and soap was so fucking funny. really gave personality to these characters
2:32 Although i think it was dumb to do so, they did expand on what happened to that villain, he is the antagonist of the original “story” of warzone
which in itself is stupid, why move onto warzone, but start the story in the campaign these games don't seem to follow on
MGRR PFP, respect 💪
In the end of the first remake we find out the new villain is victor Zakheav, he gets killed off in Warzone, Al-Asad is revealed to still be at large, he never appeared since his introduction, he came out as an operator, but that's it. Why build up a big character, and not have them in the sequel?
@@asrieldreemurrthebestestbo1716 that part will always urk me. They could’ve replaced Hassan and had it be Al-Assad and it wouldn’t change anything really, or at least have him be the general that gets bombed. They kinda just left him in Limbo and he’s probably gonna play a part in MW3 but the lack of even a mention of him is just terrible writing
JFC.
Only Japanese developers can get things right in a modern military game, and that's my five cents.
"Maybe it was Canada, who knows?" that was funnier than I expected.
Why?
Bc Canada couldn't even invade Greenland if they wanted to, have you seen a typical 21st century Canadian lately? Not to mention thier military has been depleted to the bare minimum completely unable to do anything militarily other than tag along with the US as they go invade whatever the next target is.
To be fair, it is a reboot and not a remake. Does that change anything about how soulless this game is? No. Is it almost worse since the developers couldn't be bothered to stick to what even made the original appealing in the first place? Yes.
The biggest sin is the Shepherd redesign. Seriously, just give him the damn mustache and I'll be happy.
Ghost's redesign is pretty bad too. The original was simple and realistic: Just a regular guy with sunglasses and a skull scarf. The redesign looks like a tryhard cosplayer on Halloween

Another game sin: Instead of letting Price & the rest of the 141 handle the mission in Chicago, Laswell should've used Delta Force instead since they have the same skills as Price's team.
FR. The Kill or Capture should’ve had Sgt. Foley and the 75th ranger regiment instead of MARSOC. The Chicago mission could’ve had Sandman and them.
Ironically enough, its not even an AC-130 in the game either. Its some weird future hybrid of a C-17 and something else I couldn't recognise
@@termnus77 yeah i did think it looked a little different. Good spot
There is already a russian container-launched missile called the club-k and the chinese are working on their own called the YJ-18C, the US developing or having a system of their own isn't a particularly wild idea.
Bonus sin: US helicopter in the beginning mission just straight up fly to the danger zone instead of turning around.
Dartigan has answered the the call of duty for the sins video. God of War Ragnarok is my vote.
I love that you're dropping facts on military nomenclature and terms
Still messed up on some. It’s an AC-130 gunship not a C-130 gunship. Even then it’s not even based off a C-130 hull so idk what that thing is actually supposed to be.
I was looking forward to Dartigan looking over COD: MWII. I knew the game would not get away with it! :D

A completely new story, separate from the original aside from characters and a few rewritten story beats.
All the set ups Modern Warfare ‘19 had did get wrapped up. Just in the Battle Royale expansion…
Not all of them, the new not Al-Qaeda leader is still around and kicking.

I mean, they included crafting mechanics in some missions, there is already enough to criticise without being untruthful.
I don't know anything about cod, think I might've played mw one long time ago but forgot everything. Thanks for explaining some of this.

I feel like COD devs except Treyarch don’t know what to do with the campaign portion of the game anymore
It was suppose to be Victor Zakhaev and Khaled Al-Asad but i guess they got rid of them and replaced with Iran and Makarov.

- graves massacres an entire town looking for Hassan and cleaning out the cartel without intervention by the Mexican army, which is according to the game on the cartel’s payroll
- That convoy was ridiculously long
- Hassan took over a building and has hostages.
Buying a Call of Duty game is like buying a Madden game. No matter how much they change, it's still exactly the same every year.

I think you could excuse the fact that captain price wore a boonie hat while swimming in canals. Only because he's captain price
11:08 they told her to move in the cut scene so she didn’t get shot and she said “there mine”
It would have been cool to see a saciro style shootout in the Mexico scene

After watching this, MW2 2022 campaign looks dumber/more ridiculous than MW2 Original............
And that game involved jumping a snowmobile to a LZ located across a 100m Canyon
Call of Duty is just Tom Clancy for Zoomers might honestly be the most accurate descritpion of that series ive ever heard.
So it could have absolutely been a continuation.)
Another thing that ruins this for me is that Gaz, soap, and ghost have no real distinction to be gaz, soap, and ghost by name. Gaz could have stayed Kyle Garrick only and be his own character. This game in particular makes me feel like there’s no reason to have ghost and soap of the 141 involved other than “iT’S GhOsT aND SOaP FroM ThE 141”
Their places could have been replaced with american soldiers because they have more reason to be directly involved with the main conflict due to it being in mexico/the US. (You know what character who is NOT confirmed dead that i would actually love to see in place of Ghost? Derek. “Frost”. Westbrook. Wouldve made much more sense to me)
Graves betraying could have been interesting if he ran a different merc company and maybe did so of his own accord instead of rehashing the shepherd betrayal and making it incredibly obvious….
…. Wow, I actually wrote way more than i thought i would. But i think my point is made that this game could have been less annoying if it was its own story and not just a carbon copy of an iconic series.
I like it that he sinned the killing of an Iranian general. Im surprised you didn’t mention the US actually killed a top Iranian general in a drone strike in Afghanistan a few years ago.
what the fuck is bigoted about "can't tell you apart from the cartel" in a game where the cartel has the same tac equipment as world class militaries?
This guy sometimes has some woke, moronic takes.
The only reason modern CoDs don’t have as many sins as the original MW saga is because they have half as much playtime.
The bad guy from mw2019 was killed in warzone, the story continued in spec ops then warzone Intel missions
i always find myself explaining things to people the same way dartigan explains every sin. and it’s hilarious

I'm not so sure the cop was being bigoted when he made that statement. It's night time, the cartels were being hunted, and the cops just saw heavily armed Mexican SF walking towards them. That statement isn't really racist imo
Also, this game, along with MW2019 aren't really remakes, since a remake would be something more like RE2R or FF7 remake (though that one might be a bit of a stretch since they deviate a lot from the og plot)
It's its own continuity, while bringing in new characters and reintroducing ones from the original trilogy
