Hello.. It's a great video on buckling analysis. Can you tell me how to apply wind loads on a turbine blade based on wind speed data like U= 7m/s, 10m/s, etc.
There are videos on my channel about applying displacement or velocity boundary conditions. Please have a look. Search for composite impact loading, explicit dynamic analysis on my channel. Thanks
Hi, Thank you for your tutorial This video very helpful for me. I have some questions, Now, i try to running soil behavior of buried steel pipes crossing active strike-slip faults. The analysis conducted in three steps, gravity, internal pressure, and fault displacement. As per the videos above, needed first running i.e buckle analysis. In buckle analysis, does it need to be running for the three loads (gravity, internal pressure, and fault displacement) ?? I used the step as follows: Step-1 => Buckle, for gravity load Step-2 => Buckle for internal pressure Step-3 => Buckle, for fault displacement. afterward, the second analysis is Static, risk analysis. I assume in Risk analysis. the step divided into 3 step, Step-1 => Static, for gravity load Step-2 => Static, for internal pressure Step-3 => Static, Risk, for fault displacement. Edit input file to input Imperfect and running Is it really like that? I hope I can get your point of view, Prof Thankyou
Hello, this is a great video for undergraduate engineer that want to study pipeline analysis using abaqus. There is one thing I wanna ask you, can you give some information or tips where and how to obtain yield stress-platic strain data in 15:14? Thank you
Thanks for liking the video. Depending on the type of material used for pipeline, one can get the stress-strain data from design codes or ASM material handbook or a lot of research papers report experimental stress-strain curves. Thanks again for your question.
Length would ideally depend on what mechanism you are interested in. If you’re looking for global response then you may need a much longer, in fact in some cases full length or if anchor points exist then may be up to that point. But as I said depends on what you’re exactly after. For global stability analysis I have another video on my channel If you look into videos section.
@@Professor3MEC Of course. My university thesis is about upheaval thermal buckling of pipelines. Temperature change can creates thermal expansion in pipelines meanwhile soil friction prevents from pipe movement. therefore, an axis force will be created in pipeline and it cause to buckle.... I have a model in abaqus and I must apply temperature change . boundary conditions have to be fixed for both side of pipe. My steps are general static (for weight) - buckle analysis - riks methode. My final outputs have to be the diagram of temperature- vertical displacement (vertical buckle amplitude) ...I can not do this analysis and my abaqus gives me error . I don't know how can i model and analysis this project.

how do you determine the ideal length for analysis

could you present how we can apply temperature rising in our model
do you mean the operational temperature is increasing or is it for some other example?
Can you please provide more details?

Is it possible to share your model and I can have a look? Email address can be found in About section of youtube channel.
@@kiavashh5559 You may use predefined option to apply temperature change which will ramp during the static riks step. I hope this helps.
