Thanks for your comprehensive explains of the cyclic load and details In all parameters. Really recommended video in cyclic load and Bauschinger effect.
Thank you so much, a very clear explanation. It will be useful for me. I want to simulate the hysteresis behavior of a cantilever beam under cyclic loading.
Great video, very comprehensive and useful explanations provided. Could you also make a tutorial for the metals Ductile damage and the generation by modelling of the damage evolution parameters ?
Thank you Dr. Ahmed for your best tutorial! Please would you guide me how model and analysis concrete encased composite interior beam-column joints under cyclic loading and how to assign the interaction and BC? thank you for all your tutorial.
Can You please share more references having all the material data to define steel material?? I couldn't find the complete parameter details for AISC-A36 and JIS- SS400, SS41 steel... Concrete material details for high strength steel, at least 50MPa for Concrete damage plasticity.
Fantastic video. Could I assume that using kinematic hardening on a cyclic loading simulation could result in a worst-case plasticity for a given structure seeing tension and compression loads?
Haw can I extract kinematic hardening parameters from this stress strain loop of aluminum A357 from this article: Influence of defect morphology and position on the fatigue limit of cast Al alloy: 3D characterization by X-ray microtomography of natural and artificial defects. Rotella et al.
Dear Dr. Elkady, I kindly request your assistance in sharing coupon test data with calibration that we could potentially use in our Abaqus model for cyclic hardening. As this specific data is not readily available to showcase in Abaqus, your support in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for considering our request.
Hello, Dr. Ahmed, Thanks for your videos. Very helpful about understanding hardening mechanism in plasticity. May I ask a question, that, in concrete simulations, it seems that kinematic hardening has something to do with prepeak nonlinearity of its uniaxial compression stress-strain curves. And it is monotonic loading. Could you briefly introduce the mechanism embedded in this correlation? Thanks in advance, anyway!
Hello Mr. Ahmed, Can you help me with explaining the interaction between post-tensioning tendons and surrounding concrete to prevent the tendons go inside the concrete body.
Very useful video ..I am doing kinematic hardening on my soil sample.. Can u help me on how to extract the C and Gamma parameters after I input the test data?
Ahmed thank you for all your videos, they were fundamental in learning how to use Abaqus. I have a question: is there a way to assign a Force - Displacement behavior to an element? I should model a BRB knowing the Force - Displacement bond conducted under cyclic load tests. Again, thank you very much for your videos and any reply.
Thank you Dr. Ahmed for this informative video. Does the cyclic stress strain curve behave exactly same as monotonic kinematic hardening curve if my loading is not reversal (For example pressure loading). SO in this case cyclic hardening would be zero as the loading and unloading path always stay in the straight line. I would be grateful for your view.
Please I have a question I want to check if I use C Nd gama. I do not need to use Q and b right? These are two different methods ? ....or these 4 parameters should be inserted??
Best explanation ever for steel stess loops. Comgrats, Simulia should pay you
Thank you so much for the detailed and comprehensive introduction on the modeling in ABAQUS !
Thanks for your comprehensive explains of the cyclic load and details In all parameters. Really recommended video in cyclic load and Bauschinger effect.
thank you Dr. Ahmed, you are saving my life
This tutorial is absolutely helpful. Keep up the excellent work sir.
Not an ABAQUS user but these videos are extremely helpful!
Hi, I am doing my thesis based on your wonderful tutorials. So helpful and through. Thank you so much.

Very useful. Thank you. How do you create the hysteresis plot Abaqus with stress strain?

Excellent video, thank you.
hello, I want to ask can we use combined hardening rule to simulate the nonlinear soil material with shear strain and shear stress?

Hello Mr. Ahmed,
Can you help me with explaining the interaction between post-tensioning tendons and surrounding concrete to prevent the tendons go inside the concrete body.
So using the combined method for springback (after v bending) gives more accurate results, right?
Very useful video ..I am doing kinematic hardening on my soil sample.. Can u help me on how to extract the C and Gamma parameters after I input the test data?
Hi, Dr. Ahmed Elkady,
I love your videos,
And I have questions,
Like how to plot graph of Moment-rotation and more kinds of graph ?
Ahmed thank you for all your videos, they were fundamental in learning how to use Abaqus.

I also have the same confusion. Looking forward to communicate with you further.
Great job. Thank you a lot.
Eng.Ahmed would you make a model about the approach area of the bridge end ...with all respect 💙

yes, they are independant
was veryyyyyyyy unique and good. thanks
Great work
Thank you
your video is very useful
thanks for helping mee
first I went to thank you for the explanation where to find cyclic hardening data, equivalent stress, q-infinity and hardening parameter b of steel
