How to create the top of our needle case cover - The Bead Shop Nottingham

- The Peyote Stitch Needle Case Cover is a great way to get into bead weaving. The kit uses peyote stitch to create both the body of the design and the ends. This is a video to accompanying the kit, showing how to create the ends of the cover; sometimes it is much easier to watch someone else do the trickier parts (particularly if the technique is new to you).
The kit is available in two different designs;

The kit comes with full instructions and materials needed to make the needle case cover including, the wooden needle case blank, all the beads, thread, needle and a bead mat, all presented in a neat small box.

Although you can certainly do as you have by creating a circular pattern and zipping it in, I find I get a much rounder top when I go from the outside to the inside. Then there is no need to zip, however, great tutorial, thanks for the lovely work!
Thank you! The top of our wooden needle cases are flat, so I was trying to avoid getting a rounded top for this one. I also quite enjoy the process of zipping peyote stitch together too - very satisfying :D
Tip: I didn’t like the wood case showing through the opening at the top, so I added a 3mm fire polished bead in the center.
Hi Holly, that's sounds like a lovely way to hid that little hole. You could also painted the top of the lid before assembling to match it match the colour of beads. :)
