    This floats my boat, Allie, and I can't wait to get my supplies to make this. I love this, and it looks fairly easy too. I'm making these for my beady friends for Christmas gifts filled with Tulip needles!! Thank you for this fantastic tutorial!!

    For two count peyote with Toho, you have to start with a 32 bead base as it has to be divisible by 2. It is working out fine so far on my needle case.

    this would make a beautiful ring!

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Patty, yeah it depends on the size of your finger. With rings, we tend to peyote them to the right length and then zip them up, which means instead of working it upwards with the beads being added vertically, you work it around and then the up/down edges zip together neatly, like we do for the carrier beads.

    I can't wait to make this! I tried the pattern that came with our boxes, with the tila (or half tila?) beads and have discovered that tilas do not like me (yet) so I'm going to try this pattern. I'm more of a bling kinda girl, anyway. ;)

    So thinking about it someone should use 9 different crystal colors and have them spiral around the case! Post photos in the FB group!

    Like the tutorial but I made this case and it took 145 crystals not 81, I was lucky to have enough.

    Really lux! Love!
    En lieu of crystals, for the sake of my blown budget, could you substitute 8/0 seed beads? Thinking 6/0 would be too big. (Skipped ahead, so I don’t know if you made such a suggestion.) Thoughts?
    TFS!

      It will be a while before I get to trying it. I don’t own a needle case that I want to cover. Not ready to place an order for a case or anything else for now.
      However, now that I think about it, I’m sure anything similar in size will work, Eg. Druks, pearls, any sort of rounds or rondelles or fire polish. I think the pattern would be pretty in a smaller piece as a pendant. Just add some beaded fringe.

      @Potomacbeadco  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can always just use the seed beads, perhaps in two colors for a contrast. Two-drop peyote has a nice texture to it by itself!

    beautiful but costs a fortune in crystals got to buy another lot .Mine have cut through the thread twice is there any way to prevent this happening I try to repair rather than unpicking it all and just hope it holds.

    How many rondelles do you use? How many do I need per needle case?

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      81 pieces, depending on how many rows of them you choose to add and the length of your needle case.

      I have used about 51 and nearly 10 grams of seed beads and I am not half way down yet , useing the 3 1/2 inch case

    How long is thread?

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as you can manage comfortably. You need to add new thread anyway, so it's better to not get tangles.

    I agree with the comment below. However, I think the magic number is four. I tried to use an even number, i.e. 34, but it wouldn't work becoming more and more frustrated. I watched your video for 2 drop peyote (hoping to gain some insight into the problems I was having) and again you referenced that it needed to be divided by 2 and you used the examples of 8 and 6, with 6 not being suitable for even count. However, if you divide by 4, then any number evenly divisible by 4 will work. Please rethink your instructions for doing even count 2 drop peyote.
