In 2027 I want to see a bunch of Star Wars 50th anniversary sets. A new Tantive 4, sandcrawler, og trilogy millennium falcon, new Death Star play set, obiwan-Ben vs Darth Vader set, and maybe a ceremony diorama.

I'd love some anniversary sets. I think a great diorama would be of Luke's Home on Tatooine. Maybe it could include Luke's Landspeeder, a bunch of the droids the Jawas were selling, and Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru. Maybe even a background of the two suns like the mosaic sets.
I'd also love a diorama for The Last Jedi, of either Ahch-To or Snoke's Throne Room.
If we got mostly ot sets for the anniversary we should get mostly rots sets this year
Honestly, I just want to see some more Sequel Sets.
I get that people hate the Sequel Trilogy, but that's the one I grew up with. I actually got to see Force Awakens on Opening Night, and that was genuinely one of my favorite experiences in general.
There is a loud group that doesn’t like it, but I’m glad folks can still enjoy it who want to.

I think that at this point the majority of vocal fans only care about clones, and the sequels are pretty much universally hated. Maybe they could make like 2 a year
Great video! I like how you touched on lego's response time as that isn't really considered when people talk about how lego seals with fan suggestions. Considering how lego approached the 40th anniversary of ROTJ, I feel like we may see a diorama in 2025. I think with the disney era movies, they might go very light on the 10th anniversary similar to the 20th anniversary of the clone wars animated series.
Even if it’s light when it comes to doing sets from the movies that launched under Disney, I’d still consider it an absolute win!

The people who argue that the sequels have no fanbase are hilariously wrong. To begin: girls. Modern young girls seem to really like Rey despite what the twenty-year-olds on the internet think. Having a female lead who is actually well written has contributed to a whole new demographic liking Star Wars since childhood. Furthermore, people just like the sequels in general. You just don't find these people in the same sectors of the internet as the "Clone Bros" inhabit. They aren't usually as wrapped up in requesting new sets which is why it feels like there is no demand. As for the RoTS sets, I've seen many request and idea videos that only appeal to a fraction of the community. Lots of Lego Star Wars fans are really burned out thanks to the SERIOUS oversaturation of Clone Trooper sets. I like these sets too but I haven't even gotten the latest battle pack because it's so hard to care now. Yes an ARC-170 would be cool but would it be cooler than a first order TIE fighter? Something that we haven't ever even seen before (the special forces one does not count)? Maybe you think so, but still, it just adds to a market making up a disproportional amount of the theme. Modern kids don't even really like the clones too much, causing them to ask for less LEGO Star Wars in the first place. Clones make short term profits, but I don't think it will last.
I mean they weren’t very well written, and it’s kinda arrogant to bring down a set which everyone wants and replace it with a first order tie fighter, because proportionally most of the core fan base that actually cares would rather see an ARC 170. I agree there should be something for everyone, but most of the fan base that actually cares about Lego Star Wars right now doesn’t. Also when Lego does make one, they shouldn’t half ass it, because if the sequels are only going to get two sets one being a battle pack they should be good unlike every other first oreser battle pack
Also like 4 years ago there were like 4 rots/clone wars sets but like 10 sequels sets, because they were still making the movies, now the clone wars is getting love, because the prequels aren’t being made, and apart from a small fan base they are pretty much universally hated
Assuming they make a new OT Falcon soon, imagine an ESB Falcon with Lando, Han in the blue coat, Chewbacca, Hoth Leia, 3P0, Lobot, and Boba Fett. That could be fun, if they wanted to do a Falcon.
I agree. We are due for a new Falcon. First the Dark Falcon that they’re doing for the new LEGO Star Wars Disney+ special has to come and go tho.

Since I missed out on the previous iterations, I will go with the classic ARC-170 and Clone Turbo Tank as releases at some point. A UT-AT would also be nice, so would a Palpatine's Arrest or Shuttle. My biggest wild cards though are a new version of the TIE Defender and the first ever TIE Punisher. I think both of them are extremely cool ships and I would love if Lego made new versions.
It feels like it’s been ages since we’ve got so many of those iconic clone vehicles. Crossing my fingers.
They TIE Punisher being the way it is might prevent it from happening, as it basically being a chaotic TIE Bomber might be a bit much haha.
We really need a UCS-sized First Battle of Geonosis. Think of the creatures and minifigures!
They calls that “Master Builder Series” or “MBS” for short. It’s the same line that really fancy Mos Eisley Cantina comes from, and you are so right. The Geonosis Arena would make an amazing set for it!

You’re on the right track. Assault on Hoth was the set that caused MBS to exist in the first place. People didn’t see it as “UCS quality” and more as a big playset, so LEGO started calling those sets “Master Builder Series” with Betrayal on Cloud City right after that. They’ve used it ever since (and I believe that only includes the Cantina after that 😅)
Considering there have been rumors about Kingdom Hearts 4's marketing cycle starting up soon, I'd like to see Lego launch a Kingdom Hearts theme in the later half of the decade assuming the game is actually launching in the 2020's lol ( or actually revive the minifigures side of Disney sets or something )

LEGO does have a couple minifig-base Disney sets around this year, but I think that whole two-year-wait I discussed on the video is gonna keep things from really going crazy again for now, and hopefully just in time too.

when it comes to your ending question: for Ninjago, I would like a D2C that is NOT a city set, something akin to a destiny’s bounty, or Kai’s blacksmith shop, when it comes to friends, I’d like to see houses/apartments for the other characters, and ( this is the big one for me ) I would like to see a castle CMF akin to the space one…new AND old ideas, and remakes. These are things I’d like to see in 2025-2026.

Jazwares is still selling Resistance ships and black Poe X-Wings. It's outright untrue that other toy manufacturers have abandoned the sequel era. I definitely hope we get some new sequel sets soon, even if by leaks it seems like we'll have to keep waiting.
Heck, people who hate the sequels generally still think T-70 X-Wings look cool, so an updated black Poe X-Wing would be welcome as a start.

I would like for at least 1 or 3 sets based on the 10th Anniversary of each new film, up until 2029.
In 2025 especially, seeing more Force Awakens sets would be nice, as it is my favorite of the new canon movies, and I missed out on some of those sets. I think a Resistance X-Wing, a First Order Transporter and a Diorama or larger playset of Maz Kanata's Castle on Takodana would be great.
For Revenge of the Sith, a 20$ set based on the fight between General Grievous and Obi-Wan would be great, or Mace Windu's fight with Darth Sidious.
For 2026, I'd live a new version of Krennic's Delta-Class Shuttle, the U-Wing, and a large or small playset of the awesome Battle of Scarif.
For 2027, a Diorama of Ahch-To would be great, including the huts and the tree housing THE SACRED JEDI TEXTS! 😂 Or Snoke's Throne Room.
I'd also like a new AT-M6 and Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle, perhaps with Luke in his black robes.
Of course, it will also be Star Wars's 50th Anniversary...a set based on Luke's home would be nice to see, along with a new Sandcrawler and landspeeder...or Mos Eisley Cantina!
For Solo in 2028...a Starship Collection version of Lando's Falcon, and a playset of Kessel or Dryden's office would be cool.
And finally for 2029...I really really hope we get a set based on Exegol. It's been too long. I also think maybe a set based on the TIE Whisper and the First Order Star Destroyer would be great. It will also mark the 30th Anniversary of The Phantom Menace...maybe a Duel on Naboo Diorama?

Yeah! I enjoy much more from the movies than I dislike. And I know there are more people who'd love to see more stuff from them.
I would also love a UCS TIE Silencer and a Playset of Starkiller Base....Or a First Order TIE Fighter with Finn and Poe (Hopefully one that's not $70) would be great.
And for The Empire Strikes Back...I'd love a Snowspeeder or the duel on Cloud City!
I do want more sequel sets bc some of them are great. However, lego is yet to do a 10th anniversary cellebration and so i feel that the spotlight will be on rots and empire strikes back. I imagine we will get most of the year's sets split between both of them with some long overdue sets like a stormtrooper battlepack and an arc-170 but honestly, there are to many possibilities to choose from and Lego has most likely already got a mostly finished plan for the year's sets.
That’s a valid assessment for 10 years. I don’t think they’ll make fancy celebratory bricks for TFA, but I can see them releasing a couple sets in quiet “celebration.” They’ve done that plenty of times before. I’m excited what that can bring for RotS and ESB too, even if there’s nothing deliberate commemorative there either.
I don’t think lego normally celebrate anniversaries ending in 5 besides 25th anniversaries right? I don’t think lego will go out of their way to make ESB sets specifically for its 45th year anniversary.
They did celebrate A New Hope’s just bit with commemorative bricks that say so. You can see it with how 2022’s lineup has an ANH lean to it outside of just a few sets, and current TV show tie-ins
With the newer star wars media coming out, I doubt they'll need to capitalize on the 45th anniversary. However they could do some smaller sets of basic vehicles that could tie in to anything (like an at-st)
They never quite have to prioritize it, but it does give them reason to offer at least a sample.
Also just to mention not just Star Wars episode 3 will be 20, Star Wars episode 5 will be 45, and Star Wars episode 7 will be 10 but also the movie Jurassic World will turn 10 next year as well so were gonna need 10 year anniversary sets based off that movie as well
The video is specifically about Star Wars, but yes! You are absolutely right. We already have rumors for set numbers to Jurassic in 2025 and this looks long! Hopefully LEGO will be celebrating.

For 2026 i feel like we shoud get rouge one vehicles that we've never gotten befor such as the zeta class shuttle and the at act
I think they could get away with the Zeta shuttle if it includes a lot of the Rogue One crew, but not in any way otherwise. At least imo.
The AT-ACT is so close to the AT-AT to the naked eye, that I think they could get away with including extra parts in a base AT-AT to make it at least look like the AT-ACT (even tho there are enough differences).
if Lego wants to keep the fans, the existing customers, it MUST go back to the Lucas era and remake the Arc 170, TurboTank, etc.. no matter what you saw, and if Lego is even listening, this don't listen, after all you can see everything after the sale..
Haven’t they predominantly been making sets based off of media from Lucasfilm anyways? And then you see how rabid people are for sets from Mando, and even Ahsoka (no matter what people think of the show. Can’t have one without the other, but pre-Disney sets are not lacking.

Basically we need to cram such influence that Lego inevitably could not ignore into a much much much smaller time-frame, while a prime example being the 501st Battle pack, came about after many years of knocking on the Lego Group's door. Many months to go, and if they were to forward the anniversary celebration of sets into 2026, I would actually appreciate that, because conjointly, that is where WE can INTEND on having a foot-in-the-door clearly to the Lego group, whatever it takes!

I’m really hoping we get waves for both Star Wars movies in 2026. I don’t need them to be as massive as the ones for Force Awakens or Rogue One (frankly those are overwhelming and hard to keep up with), but like 3-4 sets including affordable options like a Battle Pack or Microfighter would be perfect (a lot like the waves for Shang-Chi and Eternals).
I could also see a few sets based on earlier seasons of The Mandalorian releasing around The Mandalorian & Grogu given how popular the show is.
Also, a 2026 release date for a Ahsoka S2 seems kind of likely, which would make it the perfect year to get a UCS Ghost…
I can’t get my hopes up for the Ghost rn but that would be THE time to do it. Maybe have the Spring UCS be Mando’s N-1 Starfighter
@@PenPlays I’m so ready for more UCS sets outside the movies, the Razor Crest gives me hope for Din’s N-1 one day. I’d also welcome Ahsoka’s T-6 Shuttle (which has so much potential for UCS figures btw-Spacesuit Ahsoka and Training Gear Sabine are the perfect balance between desirable exclusive costumes people actually want and niche enough variants that aren’t cruel to lock behind a hefty price tag).

Might even force them to bleed the Rebels figures into other sets, which I know no one would complain about.

I don't really set expectations for themes aside from the obvious, from reliable leakers, or oddities like the 2023 Giga leak. So I don't really have too much preference for what comes or what people speculate before the rumors come. However, I do encourage people to speculate and be vocal about what they want

There are fans of the sequels, however prequel era casts a long shadow... I was prime marketing age when TFA came out and I got caught up in the hype. I loved TFA when I watched it, and I have liked it on repeat viewings. Its a fun film! But my Star Wars interest was held by Clone Wars. I started watching Clone Wars in 2011 and I have been a fan ever since. After that I got really into Rebels. That is why many SW fans around my age care more about the Prequel Era.
I have no doubt you probs have nostalgia for the sequels despite where your love for Star Wars clearly took root. If they did tackle the sequels stuff again, it’d start with a healthy sample, regardless, I feel
Lego will only do it for rots, because a 45 anniversary is not very important also obviously nobody is buying the sequel sets. They should still make them for the people who want them but idc I hate the sequels

For DC we’ll probably get sets for the new Superman film. Those sets need to sell really good for LEGO to decide to make sets off more heroes.
Any possible Superman sets will be make or break for the theme, I think. If they would struggle selling, I’d honestly e worried about LEGO DC as a whole

No criticism of the Lego portion of this video, but I _really_ hope you’re wrong about Disney trying to release a Star Wars movie in 2026 that they _haven’t even decided what it is yet._ I would’ve thought Disney had learned by now that 2-2.5 years isn’t enough to do a really great job on a big-budget Star Wars movie. Every one of them has been delayed or had to rush to complete SFX and reshoots, and at least a couple clearly needed another editing pass on the script, the final movie, or both. Even when they were already good.
See it being unnamed has lead me to believe it’s gonna be pushed back. Thing is tho, it is slated for the LAST possible moment (December 2026) so there’s still quite a bit of time. I will say tho, from what I understand, development has been underway for many stories, it’s just the Mando one that’s the furthest ahead (Season 4 is being restructured as a movie, basically). Mando is currently slated for Summer that year, but I expect it to take the December spot on the end and there being no Summer movie. All assumptions that would no surprise me

The only people from that generation who hate the Sequel Trilogy, are those who have parents who forced them to be that way, or are not brave enough to make their own opinions. It’s sad, but it’s hardly the whole generation. Most are just too smart to waste their time arguing about it, since it’s their opinion that they like it regardless of what others think

The sequel design being mostly altered ot designs, roughly a 1/3 of the main audience still being in highschool and a considerable junk not caring about or disliking the sequels.

Used is one thing, but cheapest? You do realize that the cheapest options on Bricklink are often in terrible shape right and does not properly reflect the climate of interest.
Add that the average consumer has no idea what Bricklink is, and it can be hard to argue using Bricklink as a primary metric for gauging interest.
I also will not disregard your opinion, but you should not make the blanket statement that your opinion applies to everyone regarding the sequels. There are, indeed, more people who agree with you, but they do not speak for everyone.

Considering I know 50 people irl from across the target demographic and the most favourable reaction was indifference and a considerable junk of general internet opinion is controlled by that exact group and it's hated, well do you have anything besides nu uh.
Force Awakens sets are not coming. No toy manufacturer wants to make them. It is not useful for LEGO to commemorate a bad movie on its anniversary; as if it being an anniversary makes us inclined to buy sets from a trilogy everyone is trying to forget.
The only sequel sets that will sell are sets with Kylo and/or the Knights of Ren. A sequel set down the road that features all the Knights of Ren in one set will sell extremely well just because the figures will look cool. It's too bad the execution of the Knights of Ren in the movies was abysmal. Outside of that, ST sets won't sell.

And if the best case you can make for ST anniversary sets is that it my cultivate a practice within LEGO that leads to Rogue One sets, then you probably agree that the sequels are bad and do not deserve to have sets under their own merits.
And the reason I do not want Rogue One sets any longer is because I am the point where I am completely disgusted by Disney Star Wars. Ahsoka was bad enough…. The Acolyte is a disaster. I’m at a point where the only Star Wars I can stomach are episodes 1 - 6, the original 2D Clone Wars, and the Knights of the Old Republic video games.

However, you can not make a blanket statement saying something like a products sales will be bad based on your own opinion.

@@PenPlays No toy company except LEGO has had success with ST sets. That is not an opinion. But that LEGO has had some success does not mean LEGO should make more ST sets. It's too big an opportunity cost when there is better and more popular source materials to make sets from. Like, does it mean we don't get a Turbo Tank, Jango Fett Slave 1, or Endor set just to make from for ST sets? too big a cost.
