  • We react and review the TH-cam video The Untold Story of SWASTHIKA | A film about the true history of Swasthika from the channel Project SHIVOHAM. What's is the meaning of Swasthika? Where did it originate from? Is it that many civilizations used Swasthika as part of thier culture?
The word swastika comes from Sanskrit: स्वस्तिक, romanized: svastika, meaning 'conducive to well-being'. In Hinduism, the right-facing symbol (clockwise) is called swastika, symbolizing surya ('sun'), prosperity and good luck, while the left-facing symbol (counter-clockwise) is called sauvastika, symbolising night or tantric aspects of Kali. In Jain symbolism, it represents Suparshvanatha - the seventh of 24 Tirthankaras (spiritual teachers and saviours), while in Buddhist symbolism it represents the auspicious footprints of the Buddha. In several major Indo-European religions, the swastika symbolises lightning bolts, representing the thunder god and the king of the gods, such as Indra in Vedic Hinduism, Zeus in the ancient Greek religion, Jupiter in the ancient Roman religion, and Thor in the ancient Germanic religion. The symbol is found in the archeological remains of the Indus Valley Civilisation and Samarra, as well as in early Byzantine and Christian artwork.

Hitler's symbol was the Christian hooked cross, not Swastika. He wanted to make a pure christian state, not a sanatani state. European christian propagandists mischievously translated hooked cross from german language to Swastika so that the stigma could be passed on to Indians. In Rajasthan, Bharat
Archeological survey of India found 8000 year old swastika symbol on yagna and pots in Kalibanga site.
They also found proofs of river Pooja (Sarawati River) and Shiva Pooja ( a Shiva lingam found) which proves that Hinduism is older than 8000.

It's even older. Never believe the date to be accurate or even close to what these researchs find. It's just what they were able to find. But Ramayana itself can be dated back to over 15,000 years ago by using the geographical description of places, if Ramayana itself is over 15,000 years old how come Swastika is newer than Ramayana itself.

I never take these researches at face value. Yes, they are good to have, but remember, these researches relies on what we COULD find, and what actually survived. And then there is carbon dating, while the science of it is accurate, the interpretation of the results is prone to human mistakes.
My blood boils when even now many historians think Sanskrit can be dated back to 3000 BCE, like bro. They find written inscriptions in Egyptian ruins, the language they do not even understand and try to first decode it and after decoding they use that written record as proof, but when it comes to Indian history they have so much of written records in a language that survives till date yet they all just look at it as mythologies - if it weren't for geographical descriptions given in the ancient scriptures then they would have said it is just 1000 year old.

Hitler’s Nazi hate symbol was called as “Hakenkreuz” (meaning - the hooked cross and represents the Christian Cross). He grew up in an Austrian monastery that had this hooked cross on its walls.
Hitler was very impressed by the “Hooked Cross” and wanted it to be the symbol of his movement as he believed he was doing the Lord’s work.
In his autobiography (Mein Kampf), Hitler never mentioned the word “Swastika” but only mentioned the word “Hakenkreuz”. The first (abridged) translation of Mein Kampf was done by Englishman E.T.S Dugdale in 1931. Dugdale, who was fluent in German and had done work for the German government, accurately translated the relevant passages and never once used the word Swastika.
To quote some passages from Dugdale’s translation (see below):
“After innumerable trials, I settled upon a final form: a flag having a red background, with a white disc in it, bearing on its center a black hooked cross. After much searching, I decided upon the proper proportions between the size of the flag and that of the white disc, and the form and thickness of the cross; and it has remained so ever since. Armbands, also of the same, were at once ordered for the men of the bodies for keeping order - red with a white disc and a hooked cross in it. The new flag first appeared in public in the middle of the summer of 1920.”
Thus, a literal translation from German to English would produce “hooked cross,” as rightly done by Dugdale.
Lastly, the relationship between the Church and the Nazis of the era provides overwhelming evidence that Germans as well as the Nazis saw a strong connection between Hitler’s Hakenkreuz and the Christian cross, not the Swastika.
According to the US Holocaust Museum, most of the German Christians supported hatred against Jews and thus welcomed the rise of Nazism. This relationship between the Church and Nazi Germany was officially sealed by the 1933 Reich Concordat, signed by the Vatican and the Nazis, allowing the latter to garner additional credibility.
This open support for the Nazi regime has been further corroborated by recent evidence. On May 1st, 2020, The Times of UK reported that the German branch of the Catholic church admitted its “complicity” in the Second World War. May 2020 coverage in the Times of Israel also highlighted the fact that the Church had provided hudreds of priests who joined Nazi soldiers on the frontlines to offer spiritual advice from 1939 to 1945 and converted thousands of church properties into military hospitals where tends of thousands of nuns worked as nurses. On Hitler’s 50th birthday in 1939, churches flew Nazi flags and prayed for the protection of the “Fuhrer and the Reich.” What’s worse, Pope Pius XII knew about the mass killing of Jews from his own sources but kept the matter from the US government.
While discussing the Holocaust, Elie Wiesel, the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize winner, had less than kind words to describe the ideological environment leading to the Holocaust. Putting it bluntly, Wiesel remarked:
“All the killers were Christians. The Nazi system was the consequence of a movement of ideas and followed a strict logic; it did not arise in a void but had its roots deep in a tradition that prophesied it, prepared for it, and brought it to maturity. That tradition was inseparable from the past of Christian, civilized Europe.”
In conclusion, Hinduism, its teachings and symbols (Swastika) had NOTHING to do with Hitler and his evil ideology that led to the Holocaust.

One think is missing in video about swastika existence...missing link with the space...The swastika symbol is associated with the seven stars of the north, or pole star, and the constellations of the Big Dipper (Ursa Major) and Little Dipper (Ursa Minor). These constellations rotate around the pole star, which is centered in α Ursae Minoris, and draw a swirling swastika in the four phases of time. The swastika and the pole star are used in many cultures to represent the God of the universe, or the principle of reality, in its way of manifestation.
The swastika is also inspired by the positions of the Saptarshi constellation at moonrise throughout the year. The Saptarshi represents darsana, and Dhruva represents you. This implies that the Saptarshi darsana are perspectives on your true nature.
The swastika symbolizes the universe, representing the spinning constellations of the celestial north pole, specifically the Little and Big Dipper (or Chariots), or Ursa Minor and Ursa Major. The position of these stars appear in four different positions moving from Spring to Summer to Fall to Winter. With the axis of the four positions joined to North Star, those positions form Swastika.
The right-hand swastika is considered a solar symbol and imitates in the rotation of its arms the course taken daily by the Sun, which in the Northern Hemisphere appears to pass from east, then south, to west.
The swastika is a symbol of auspiciousness, and is also associated with chakras, which are portals to a higher dimension.

::::Namaste 🕉🙏🕉🙏:: The swastika is an ancient geometrical figure of the oldest religion of the world “”SANATAN DHARMA”” which combines with all Indian religions Hinduism Buddhism Jainism and Sikhism In the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit, swastika means "well-being". The symbol has been used by Hindus, Buddhists and Jains for millennia and is origin of an Indian sign. Early Western travellers to Asia were inspired by its positive and ancient associations and started using it back,,, Swastika has been Sanatan Dharma's symbol of auspiciousness - MANGALYA since time immemorial. The name swastika comes from Sanskrit (Devanagari: स्वस्तिक, pronounced: swastik) and denotes “conducive to wellbeing or auspicious”. The word Swastika has a definite etymological origin in Sanskrit originating in India derived from the roots “”Su”””meaning “”we’ll or auspicious being””””.in Sanskrit meaning “””””Su Asti Yena Tat Swastikam”””””🕉🙏🕉🙏🕉🙏…

My Guru mentioned in one of his lectures that the four sides of Swastika has lots of meanings - on the surface it means what you mentioned 'may good thoughts and prosperity come from all four directions (NEWS) but a deeper meaning to it is the source of creation. All four elements including but not limited to air, fire, water, earth arise from one source- the center and merge back into it. Everything around us and including us are made from the four elements, the center being the 'soul'. We all rise from it and merge back into it. He had just casually mentioned this in a passing sentence while sitting under a tree that swastika is the symbol of the entire working of this universe.
I can never forget that sentence and the way I had goosebumps just hearing it. Miss him dearly.

You guys were asking how goddess Lakshmi is related to Swastik(a)..I don't have any scriptural evidence but I will give you a ritualistic evidence..During Diwali or during an inauguration of anything or any event..Swastik is drawn as a symbol of Mahalakshmi, basically Mahalakshmi is swastik herself but a bit less powerful than the Yantra ( the symbol that you saw towards the end of the video).. During Diwali, we invite goddess lakshmi to our homes, we draw swastik, write "Shubh Laabh" ( Good fortune) at the bottom of it..and we pray to her for wealth, auspiciousness and good fortune, Similarly when we buy a house (it's drawn on gate or the entrance floor or some people draw it on every door of house etc) if we buy a car or vehicle, its drawn on it...etc etc..When you ask any hindu about swastik, one will think of Goddess Lakshmi automatically, so currently its very much related..What I mean by "less powerful than yantra" ..basically Yantra is drawn or used when we are specifically worshipping Goddess Mahalakshmi..Its like an exclusive symbol..Its for more of sadhana/practice, while swastik is more like a good luck charm which is used in rituals also
    Loved the reaction

Swastika is an exact representation of the constellation 'big dipper' circling the pole star. Big dipper known as saptarshi cobstellation in indian civilisation, looks like a ladel / spoon which is symbollic of the spoons that were used in vedic yagnas ( fire offerings) ... The big dipper itself is made of 7 stars known as the saptarishis. The pole star is considered symbollic of God. PIt is as if the saptarshis / big dipper is performing yagna to the divine / pole star by circumambulating it. Yagna itself means selfless action. The whole functioning of nature / universe is nothing but a constant performance of ones own duty. If you google " swastika big dipper " youll understand what im trying to say....

IN swastika there is four half square which coincidence with four yugas satyuga, tretayug in right side and dwaparyug and kalyuga on left side each yuga is of 1,250 years means total four yugas is 5000 years means one kalpa that,s why the Hindus on Laxmi pooja at the time of deepavali change their entire years account book with new account book and on the front page swastika is drawn drawn it's a holy symbol

The four quadrants means four directions (north, south, east & west). From life sense it can also mean the four central thought processes of human as per Sanatan (Hindu) religion: Dharma (righteousness), Artha (Wealth accumulating), Kama (Desires), Moksha (Liberation). This symbol is on the right foot of Lord Vishnu

The oldest known Swastik has been found (carbon dating of 8000 years old) in the Indus/Sindhu civilization wherein the yet undeciphered Indus script is there. The closest resemblace to Indus script is the Brahmi script which has been recently deciphered. Furthermore the symbols found in the Indus civilization other than the Swastik is the standing posture of a revered Human with hands naturally on the sides....which is a form of Penance found only in the Sraman/present day Jain dharma. The vedic connection is muchmore later because in the Rigveda itself there is a clear mention of Rishab/Adeshwar which happens to be the first Tirthankar of the Sraman/present day jain dharma, in which Swastik means the existing 4 Gatis/stages of souls....whose natuaral lakhsya/goal is Moksh... which is acheived through Pure Knowledge, Pure Darshan and Pure Character. Gyan, Darshan and charitra... the 3 collective observances of which... unfolds into the stage of Moksh... just as Mahaveer/Varrdhman the 24th Tirthankar Acheived about 500 BC. Thus depicting the journey of the natural stages of the Soul towatds Moksh/Omniscient/Enlightenment.

Jupiter is known as Brihaspati, 'Brihad' (बृह्द्) means big or great and 'Pati' means protector. Hence Brihaspati means great protector. Jupiter is considered the most auspicious planet in Vedic astrology.
(I think we`d be able to appreciate this designation in Hindu texts more now since the advent of reels depicting how significant Jupiter`s gravitational pull is, protecting the existing life on earth from being struck down as a collision ground for outer solar system bodies like asteroids and meteroids)

Also I heard in Ananda Marga philosophy that the horizontal line symbilizes Purusa Consciousness, and the vertical one symbolizes the Prakriti Energy. Both in a balanced way when they move then you see the hands of it. So when the direction of the movement is towards inside means towards the inner existence is the true victory from the spiritual point of vue.

The four sides symbolizes four directions also four goals in Hinduism like dharma, Artha, Kama and moksha.
The relationship with goddess Lakshmi is that when we celebrate Diwali and do Lakshmi pooja ( ritual of prayer) this symbol of swastika is used. Traditionally it used by drawing with dyed rice flour or grain flour everyday on the both ends of the floor at the entrance of the door to bring in prosperity which is again connected with goddess Lakshmi
