Bella looks so cute when she tries to be aggressive ! I love her high walk and the way she holds her tail ! She just looks sweet , with her splayed out feet ,and mouth open ! She does seem very interested in Gabby ! Big Mac has realised that he did die ,but ended up in alligator/crocodile heaven ! Again , he looks so sweet and adorable receiving treats and busily painting ! Those canvases looked really cool ! Big Mac is an alligator artist who paints in ' watercolour ' ! He didn't mind Chris being familiar with him , whereas Bella was like ' I'm out of here ' ! She's such a sassy Mama !

The reaction from Chris and Big Mac to the art was so typically male 😂… everytime I came with some cute decorations, for Christmas for example, and showed them to my father and older brother like „Look, isn’t it cute“, I would get an uninterested „aham“. Big Mac sight at one point 😄. I think the idea is great (and you can tell that Chris really tries) and the pictures look really cool 😊!

Chris, I noticed you were very close to Big Mac and Bella without the stick. Would it be safe to do that with Akila? Big Mac is just so sweet, such a good boy. But Bella is so funny, she’s a rascal. It’s interesting you work with the crocodilians without injury, but the birds and wasps nail you. 😉 Cheeky says “No you can’t pet me Dad. You keep collapsing my tunnels that I work so hard to build”. 😉 The death quills from Little Dude are amazing. I never realized they were that deadly. Olaf walking across the floor was just so cute. Big Mac is such a good boy! Re. the paintings: I would get the *canvas* only, without the frame, it would be easier to make a good print because a piece of canvas would go round his belly or fit better to his tail. It can be framed later.
Greetings. Here it was minus 3 degrees earlier hours of the morning. So quite nippy indeed.

Gator training! YAY!! I am just amazed every time I see these beautiful reptiles SO close to you! Big Mac seems so gentle and he's learning SO FAST. Bella is learning fast too, but she's wily! Chris the gator whisperer. 😁 The paintings are a great idea to raise money.

I got a couple of ideas. I know you guys have absolutely no time, but there are a lot of artists out there that would pay to purchase just individual quills or alligator teeth or Auster or anything that you’re able to ethically source from the animals you care for and you don’t actually have to make anything, but you can sell them to artist will.!
They all have gone through their own trauma and it breaks my heart to know how much suffering that they’ve gone through in their own way but now they’re here and I know that in their own individual way, they feel safe and comfortable and that’s all thanks to you and Gabby!!

Big Mac is so calm and peaceful lying there while art canvases are pressed into his body. 😂 Just staring straight ahead, probably thinking to himself, “How did I ever end up with a life like this? I don’t have to hunt anymore, these nice people throw chicken into my mouth, no more crossing streets for a Mack truck to hit me, and I even have my own private pond. Life is good!” Of course he has to share the idyllic pond with a testy shrew who just tried to chew his broken hand, but there are worse things for a gator!
Gabby - I'll totally make that clock for you & one for a fundraiser if you send me the quills! And the food prep video we all want, we really don't mind if you do it in your pj's (it's been said that's why you don't like to be on camera). You absolutely should be comfortable doing the amount of work you do for the animals.
Gabby, get a tall camera tripod one that can go over your shoulder and video your food prepping from that angle. Like looking through your eyes not at you. 😊

Love them. Maybe try taking a piece of material or pillow case, something without a frame, do the imprint and stick it on a frame after it dries. It will be easier to apply to him. Cool though!

Big Mac was so patient with the art! The first few made me think of plants, like leaves and small flowers. They came out nicely!
Would love to see a food prep video! If Gabby doesn't want to be shown ya'll could probably angle the camera to only see the counter.
Ya'll could probably sell the quills as is, even if you don't make them into something. Anyone coming by for tours would probably love to buy a souvenir like that.

To be honest I have never really been interested in crocs or alligators before. I did hold a baby croc(it was very cute) at Dreamworld in Australia but only because it came with a package deal to hold a snake which is what I really wanted do.
Its the way you talk about them Chris that has made me more interested in them, and I do love Bella + mac. I guess its also because you can see their personalities not just the killing machines that they are.

I saw you trying to get a good imprint from Big Mack with the canvas frame on it. I think if you press just the canvas without the frame on it, you would be able to wrap it around him better, then when dry staple it on the frame. Just A suggestion...❤

Hi Chris & Gabby!! I love the painting idea!! I bought a magnet painted by the warthogs at the San Antonio zoo. They cut the canvas after the pigs rooted around on the canvas with their cute noses and added magnets. It's my favorite magnet ever! Great video guys!! Hugs from San Antonio. ❤

I have been looking at the differences between crocodilians. Very interesting. My current study involves the mugger crocodile vs the American alligator.
I have not seen many usa places that have Mugger crocodiles. They are pretty common in India I have read. A private school owner I once worked for was born and raised in India and she told me that Muggers were quite common when she was growing up. You would think more people would have them here in the USA maybe I am just ignorant to their presence here.
You can sell the quills, people make earrings and all sorts of things with them

But that also comes with a great deal of knowledge regarding this Animal, and I think comfort and aware from the crocs mindset he obviously does not view you as a threat and now sees you as a source of food!
For you to build that kind of trust and such a short period of time with a wild creature is truly incredible. Amazing job you guys fantastic I am in shock to be honest.❤

Just curious, I watched a Gatorland video yesterday, the have 3 new red foxes. They were rescued from a fur farm…. Was it the same farm that you guys rescued Hazel, UA, Kierra and Shipo from? They definitely looked like they could be related. The 3 they have don’t seem as skittish as y’all’s. They were hand feeding them treats. 😊

Could an orthodic leg brace to support the leg or a cover over the abrasion area help? Do you think a callus will form over abrasion area in time? If it's not infected why even think about amputation.

Porcupine quills for arthritis like that mirror they go into the wild where they are and use a towel to harvest the quills, I make earrings out of quills when I can get them, I have some of the African quills and for what I make they are to long, but for American porcupine’s they have perfect lengths for earrings, and yes the quills off the African is perfect for the mirror. Hope this helps with wondering how they are harvested, or they get them of already deceased. Just some basic info. Tfs

Btw, even though you do make it look easy at training, i know the difference. You know how to react when they get very close to you. You are the professional, you have the experience to work with them. I could never ever be close to dangerous animals like that. I would probably cry being so scared. I would rather watch you and Gabby do your thing.
