And how I can understand more than I can speak. I’m not sure if it’s normal but I do very well at home alone but if I’m in front of native speakers, I forget everything. However, when I was putting in the work I was rocking and rolling and really impressing my Spanish speaking coworkers. I want to however identify some mistakes that either you have done intentionally to find out who does the test with care, or they are just a typo. anyhow I noticed two but I will point out one in the test section of mini course 5. where you have given the English sentence as 'I know it is important but I cant be here today because I just found out that I have to work'. so in the Spanish translation by mistake you have translated it as 'Se que es importante pero no puedo hacerlo hoy porque acabdo de descubrir que tengo que trabajar' . I hope this shows that I did the course with extra care. :)

It was good to talk with you. The answer given in the test is... " Fue in gusto hablar contigo." What I guessed was...." Fue Bueno hablar contigo." Are both correct or am I missing something?
Hi Yolanda, this is from a previous mini-course that you might have forgotten... you hear "fue un gusto" much more often. It sounds all more authentic Spanish in this type of express.

Hi Shelleyrose, I hope you don't mind me butting in. :-) I believe that 'tengo ganas de' wouldn't be used for this sentence, because you're basically saying that 'I desire I'm very well in Spanish now', since 'tengo ganas de' expresses what we desire to do. Even in English there is a difference between saying 'I FEEL LIKE going out tonight' (as if you were saying 'I fancy going out tonight') and 'I FEEL like such an idiot'. In the first one you describe what you desire, in the second one you describe how you actually feel LIKE (I didn't mean to imply that you're actually an idiot, lol), and I think it's the second meaning you were meant to use for your sentence. It should (in my beginner, not expert at all, opinion) either begin with 'creo que...' ('I believe/think that...') or 'Siento que...' ('I feel that...')... mi español es muy bueno ahora ('...my Spanish is very good now'). ('muy bien' means very well, so unless you wanted to say that you speak Spanish very well, don't use 'muy bien'). Or you can also say that 'I feel like my Spanish is much better now' as in 'Siento que mi español está mucho mejor ahora', or 'I think I speak Spanish very well now' - 'Creo que hablo español muy bien ahora.' But I guess my reply being 6 months later than your comment, your Spanish is probably much better than mine already! :-)

Obviously I do study regularly and a person will really need to include regular studying in their lives to pass this test, but the way you lay everything out and ask questions enables me to realize how much Spanish I already know and it encourages me to continue. Suggestion though, for clarity especially for those who consider themselves beginners in learning Spanish, if it is possible to indicate the subject pronouns in the spanish translation especially if it's in the third person (he, she, it you formal). When dropped, the translation is a bit ambiguous as you could notice in the exampled given. Great work though! 👍👍👍👍

Hello, yes you need to use what you learn or you will lose it. As you go through your day try to test yourself, how do I say this? What's the word for that? This way you're using your Spanish and it will become permanent knowledge. You won't forget!

Hi Yolanda, this is from a previous mini-course that you might have forgotten... you hear "fue un gusto" much more often. It sounds all more authentic Spanish in this type of express.

Hi Shelleyrose, I hope you don't mind me butting in. :-) I believe that 'tengo ganas de' wouldn't be used for this sentence, because you're basically saying that 'I desire I'm very well in Spanish now', since 'tengo ganas de' expresses what we desire to do. Even in English there is a difference between saying 'I FEEL LIKE going out tonight' (as if you were saying 'I fancy going out tonight') and 'I FEEL like such an idiot'. In the first one you describe what you desire, in the second one you describe how you actually feel LIKE (I didn't mean to imply that you're actually an idiot, lol), and I think it's the second meaning you were meant to use for your sentence. It should (in my beginner, not expert at all, opinion) either begin with 'creo que...' ('I believe/think that...') or 'Siento que...' ('I feel that...')... mi español es muy bueno ahora ('...my Spanish is very good now'). ('muy bien' means very well, so unless you wanted to say that you speak Spanish very well, don't use 'muy bien'). Or you can also say that 'I feel like my Spanish is much better now' as in 'Siento que mi español está mucho mejor ahora', or 'I think I speak Spanish very well now' - 'Creo que hablo español muy bien ahora.' But I guess my reply being 6 months later than your comment, your Spanish is probably much better than mine already! :-)

Your course is amazing! Obviously I do study regularly and a person will really need to include regular studying in their lives to pass this test, but the way you lay everything out and ask questions enables me to realize how much Spanish I already know and it encourages me to continue. I really rate your method.

Suggestion though, for clarity especially for those who consider themselves beginners in learning Spanish, if it is possible to indicate the subject pronouns in the spanish translation especially if it's in the third person (he, she, it you formal). When dropped, the translation is a bit ambiguous as you could notice in the exampled given.

Excuse me, I have a question. If debería is for yo, él, ella if someone says " debería estar aquí ahora" how would I know if they're speaking about themselves or someone else? they then should add ella or él at the biginning? "ella/él debería estar aquí"??

Hello, yes you need to use what you learn or you will lose it. As you go through your day try to test yourself, how do I say this? What's the word for that? This way you're using your Spanish and it will become permanent knowledge. You won't forget!
