@oterra64 Uh...what? If he was honestly trying to sell his book, that'd be the main talking feature given on press releases instead of him being known as the most deadliest sniper. Judging by how he sounded when he was telling the story, only a handful of people knew about the story to begin with and he wasn't trying to pump his chest with it either.
@EnoughBeingBlind If Ventura lies about being a Seal when he wasn't in any of the Vietnam Seal Teams, but was in a UDT team, why isn't it possible he is lying about being hit by a real Seal who was outraged by his thoughtless anti-war ravings in front of mourning relatives at a wake? JV was embarrassed when this story came out on the Opie show on 1/4 then on Fox on 1/5, so he headed for Mexico on 1/6 to escape the heat. He tweeted it was true on 1/7 then denied he even had a Twitter account.
No one is above the truth. I don't think Kyle is a disgrace. Far from it. If anyone should be lauded in war it's snipers. The bombs, mortars, all the rest cause collateral damage. Snipers only kill the enemy and typically only in response to incoming fire. But no one is entitled to piss on your head and say it's raining. Only reason I cut Ventura any slack at all is because he seems to believe what he's shoveling. Kyle OTOH is a company man. Doesn't mean hes lying. I just dont buy the story.
@EnoughBeingBlind whether your for or against the iraq war does not give you the right to hate our soldiers. as chris kyle has said "we are not politicians, we go where we are asked to". unlike syria, iran, egypt etc...this gov hasnt killed anyone during protests.
@anphernie i doubt it because Ventura never made any comment and also after he been TV, radio and internet. Include no charges were pressed, me i would not let anyone punch me with out me smacking them back or have them arrested. Truth is Ventura was out of line.
@EnoughBeingBlind As I said in the previous post, Kyle told the story on the Opie and Anthony show on 4 Jan, BEFORE Ventura jumped in his RV and hightailed it to Mexico. How would Kyle know Ventura was about to make an impromptu trip to Mexico? More likely Ventura saw the Fox interview or was told about it, then reacted by going AWOL from America so he couldn't be contacted. This gave him time to figure out how he was going to respond. He has a history of lying about his past.
@EnoughBeingBlind you obviously have no morals. making anti war remarks in army, navy or marines bar is a recipe for disaster. he never said he killed civilians. if he did, the gov would be all over it. no to long ago, a navy seal was court marshalled for punching a terrorist. you would think the gov would condeme someone for actuall killing a civilian. this man sacraficed alot in order to serve our nation. whether you agree with the war or not, we should all honor this man
@EnoughBeingBlind Kyle said he wasn't drinking. I go to SEAL bars all time time and I don't drink either. I hang out with old comrads and meet the new kids on the block. Ventura was in Coronado to speak to a BUD/S class that was set to graduate the next day. The bars name is McPees owned by a retired team guy.
(continued) Paranoiacs think they are in danger and look for signs and threats of that danger, potentially not appreciating other evidence. They tend to be guarded and suspicious and have quite constricted emotional lives. Their reduced capacity for meaningful emotional involvement and the general pattern of isolated withdrawal often lend a quality of schizoid isolation to their life experience.
@AnwarAwlakiSilenced Snipers are supposed to kill bad guys from a long distance. This guy did it better than anyone else. You have a problem because he does his job well? Do you think we shouldn't have snipers in our military? Take it up with the military. Jesse had a punch coming ... and he got one. Sucker punch is your description. You pop off around SEALs there for a wake, you're gonna get punched. And what's with your user name?
Somebody forgot to tell Kyle that assault on a man over 50 is a DISGRACE to the human race!!! Whats worse is making up a story....???? For sure NOT A HERO for this kind of conduct ..... Wonder who paid this guy????
@aftonline yeah, i completely agree. however, alot of seals consider udt as the same because of have to pass buds. but udt never had rigorous firearms or cqb courses
Except in the book he says Ventura took a swing at him first. And he's been on other shows and the story has been all over the place. Ryan was there, where's his testimony? Doesn't take anything away from Kyle. But I think it's just a bar story.
@klrdotorg He doesn't have to tone it down, that's what free speech is all about. He allegedly punched him for speaking, that is infringing on his right to free speech and right to safety. If this did indeed happen, which most likely did not. The right way to handle the situation was by simply ignoring it, walking away, or asking the owner of the property to have Jesse Ventura removed.
@EnoughBeingBlind It was at a SEAL bar. Ventura is an ex Seal. actually they were called something else in those days but anyway you can go to a bar and not drink. My gradfather goes to the VFW every week to visit with friends and other war vets. He hasnt touched a drop of alcohol in the past 20 years. A few of his buddies that go there also dont drink. That is not a valid point
I don't necessarily believe Ventura. But the story itself doesn't hold up. If it hinged on Ventura's word vs. Kyle's I might go with Kyle. If only because Kyle only has the one book. But it doesn't stand up to logic. Nor does it work in the age of cell phone cameras, celebrity and 24 hour news. And given the nature of the story, that it's tailor made to Ventura, it's suspicious. If he'd punched him over something else, it's still just a story, but I might be more inclined to buy it.
@LGZEE you are aware this is Chris Kyle, with 250 confirmed kills, 160 confirmed by the pentagon? I'm pretty the US military and pentagon are reliable when it comes to confirmed kills.
@JamesRideout123 Just because this guy dresses in a way that you don't like doesn't make him a liar. I don't have much respect for either Ventura or Kyle, but with regards to this story I believe Ventura is lying and Kyle is telling the truth. One of them has to be a liar and it's Ventura. He has a history of lying about his past and has the most to lose reputation-wise by admitting to what happened. Kyle is putting himself in danger of arrest so why would he make up this story?
Why is everyone hating on Chris? I'm not sure other than what happened with Jesse. Did Chris lie about what he did? Is that the only reason or did he so something else?
The commentators of this show were a real sleezy guys, this is a serious matter and you can´t just make fun about this with anything that spit bring into your mouth!

@MechaRogers Jeez man, that sounds pretty sociopathic. Looking back does it effect you at all now? I mean at 19 you're just a kid so I can understand not being able to fully comprehend the magnitude of killing someone, but thinking that it was "fucking cool" just sounds inhumane.

Well said.
As well as being a tough bastard he seemed like a really nice and self-aware guy. RIP and condolences to his family.
Man, O + A could have had a really good crossfire going on, but they acted like a bunch of 12 year olds doing whippets.
@AnwarAwlakiSilenced well iam glad you were there when it happened. iam glad you cleared things up
@EnoughBeingBlind whether your for or against the iraq war does not give you the right to hate our soldiers. as chris kyle has said "we are not politicians, we go where we are asked to". unlike syria, iran, egypt etc...this gov hasnt killed anyone during protests.
He has a history of lying about his past.
the hosts of the show came off really douchie in this interview
@EnoughBeingBlind "Citizen's arrest" implies that the person making the arrest isn't a police officer.
Unless you've been there, i dont think you can judge someone like him. Guess what? Thats how you have to think over there.
@EnoughBeingBlind you obviously have no morals. making anti war remarks in army, navy or marines bar is a recipe for disaster. he never said he killed civilians. if he did, the gov would be all over it. no to long ago, a navy seal was court marshalled for punching a terrorist. you would think the gov would condeme someone for actuall killing a civilian. this man sacraficed alot in order to serve our nation. whether you agree with the war or not, we should all honor this man
So reading makes me ignorant? Fascinating!
I love this guy.
Chris Kyle is my hero.
OK, I just checked, there was only a couple of bilderburgers and a dust bunny, no NWO.
RIP Chris
@EnoughBeingBlind Kyle said he wasn't drinking. I go to SEAL bars all time time and I don't drink either. I hang out with old comrads and meet the new kids on the block. Ventura was in Coronado to speak to a BUD/S class that was set to graduate the next day. The bars name is McPees owned by a retired team guy.
@caltrof Don't bother questioning it, he's an Alex Jones/Jesse Ventura nut.
I like the way these two guys show the proper respect to Chris , There are too many American that forget there freedom came with a price.
brad fiser
They didn't challenge him. Hes a liar. He exaggerated everything and straight up lied.
You bet he is.
This guy kicks ass
@AnwarAwlakiSilenced
Snipers are supposed to kill bad guys from a long distance.
War isn't murder.
What if its done by a foreigner in ur country?
Killing people is nothing to brag about. And I think you need to look over Ventura's resume a little closer.
Somebody forgot to tell Kyle that assault on a man over 50 is a DISGRACE
to the human race!!!
Whats worse is making up a story....????
For sure NOT A HERO for this kind of conduct .....
Wonder who paid this guy????
damn. I wish Chris Kyle was on comound media with Anthony. They could have talked forever
R.I.P. Chris Kyle
Chris Kyle's story about Jesse Ventura is bold faced lie. Shame on him to exploit Jesse to sell his book. Hope he enjoys a big fat lawsuit.
If it was, I didn't hear of it. And I see it nowhere in evidence.
I'm not afraid to say "I don't know."
@EnoughBeingBlind Then where the hell did the gun come from?
@LarimerFilms I'm not a police officer...That's the point.
The commentators of this show were a real sleezy guys, this is a serious matter and you can´t just make fun about this with anything that spit bring into your mouth!
Bob Kelly is silly.
you live your life to eat, drink, have sex, listen to music, dance, you think life is all about enjoyment and spending every minute with enjoyment, no limits no barriers, you worship something called freedom. why would we comply ourselves with worship and religion bounded life style? not because we blindly follow a religion the way, we don't have nuns or preasts, no buddhist temples
Fuckin Jimmy! Uncle Pauld him Haha
RIP Bro.
@MechaRogers
Jeez man, that sounds pretty sociopathic. Looking back does it effect you at all now? I mean at 19 you're just a kid so I can understand not being able to fully comprehend the magnitude of killing someone, but thinking that it was "fucking cool" just sounds inhumane.
@TheRealEmskiHelp Laughter can be a defense mechanism for uncomfortable situations
