This just proves how nice Jim is to someone he perseves as a fan. He doesn't really great Louis any differently than he did when he thought he was a caller
Louis CK wasn't pretending to be stranger, he just assumed Jim knew that it was the CK. That's why he was casually speaking to him in a friendly, teasing way. When Jim was like "you're rambling, sir" Louis was like "Dude it's me!"
You're stupid if you think he should have treated him differently.. If that wasn't a top comedian on the phone, it would have been a shitty call lol...
There's so much truth to what they're saying. I'm approaching my late 20's now and life is WAY better than my high school years. I'm actually looking forward to my 30's because like Jim said I feel like there are a lot of things I want to accomplish that I couldn't have possibly accomplished in my 20's.
Yeah the show is at the o2 Arena on the 20th of march, the Guardian wrote about it a few days ago. There's no more information yet, I've been checking the o2s website every day since I found out waiting for it to get added to the calender.
It was my first time in Stockholm, I loved every minute of it. It's not a city, it's an inspiration. It went perfect, man. The place was great, he totaly nailed it. Encore and everything. It's really a pitty you didn't make it. I had two spare tickets, two of our friends coudln't come.
Jim Norton is one of the greatest in comedy. His off hand quips rival any written material from any comics. He's a person I look up to. -open mic comic
im an idiot for not going, should've quit the job that very night :( good thing he delivered, i was a bit worried for him since the swedish crowd can be quite "dry". btw, was the arena too big for a comedy stand-up or did it work well? its usually for bigger concerts and hockey-events..
Incontrovertible proof that some of the most highly regarded guests are no less of a drag on a radio show than the bad callers, and that if not for prejudice in their favor, they would be treated the same as such callers.
***** I don't see what that has to do with what I was saying. My point was that if Louis C.K. were just a caller, and not a friend of Jim Norton's and a "celebrity", he would've been ridiculed and hung up on because of his being a bad caller.
Uumm.. They ARE good friends. Stop with the stupid jargon of "Louis' so great and if Jimmy only knew..." They are buddies regardless of fame. Louis was banking on him recognizing his voice. Nothing else. Jimmy was caught up in a show, and has every right to be, and did not recognize his friends voice in the hooplah. Whoops. But it is that Louis loves his friend enough to call into Jimmy's show. Neither took it personally. They just talked together as friends do. Maybe try to get a REAL friend.
I ALWAYS give more respect to my friends than I do a stranger. Why? Because they've put the time in. I cherish my friends. They stick with me through the bad and give love in the good. We're all the same. A stranger is our going out of our way to try to make a better day. A true friend is there through our gruesome and our triumphs and keeps rooting for us. Which do you prefer? Who has your back?
***** "Would you give a stranger the same attention/respect you would a friend? We should... But we don't." NO WE SHOULD NOT give the same respect or attention to a stranger than a friend. A true friend has earned your "attention/ respect" where as a stranger is a stranger who has not proved they are worthy of your respect or attention. You don't KNOW them. C'mon, this is pretty every day shit. We do this instinctively. It's not rocket science. We BUILD relationships unless you're a moron and just jump into friendships thinking everyone is rooting for you...Then you can actually say you WERE born yesterday.
I actually agree with this. They're both great, but ants better at keeping momentum and jimmy really shines best on 3rd mic where he's able to gather his thoughts and interject with funny comments. Not saying jimmy's a bad host, ant's just a bit more adept at it.
Idk man... I loved "Horace and Pete" very much. "Louie" and "Lucky Louie" was decent too. I would rather have the good quality shows with the aloof auteur than "the real guy" who doesn't create shit. Patrice was the realest of the real, but he only made 1 special, and no other art whatsoever before he died. Give and take. Can't have it all.
@@mikeisapro I agree, although I would argue Patrice left more art through his recordings than you give him credit for. I'll take spoken word free think over a comedian living out his Woody Allen phase, and I love Louis
@@evansgate btw I take back some of that. Namely Patrice did make more than one special. He made like 3, one or two were I believe half hour and then there was Elephant in the Room which was my favorite. But still. I just wish he'd been alive longer to make more. He was getting better and better imho.
Chill, man. I don't think they were just talking about fucking chicks. It's more about people's outlook on life and the trajectory of success. Also, neither of them sounded butthurt to me, at least not nearly as much as you do.
It's so weird to listen to them talk now. They used to have a great friendly chemistry in the studio talking about random topics, and now it just seems kinda awkwardly formal and polite.
haha holy shit how did Jim not recognize him...I had to rewind that just to make sure it wasn't a bit
"I'm your friend! I'm Louie, i'm your friend!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣
"I'm as boring as one of your callers."
"I'm as boring as one of your listeners thats why"
Paisley Hicks Haha this is my favourite reply on TH-cam so far.
"I'm Louie, I'm your friend!" Daawwww
Louie should have kept it up a little more.
"Sometimes you pull my leg like I feel like my leg's being pulled by you" - Louis C.K. is the 21st century Aristotle
"I'm your friend..I'm Louie.."
Love these people genuinely

When did that happen?
whoa, it's almost like we both heard what happened.
Thanks for reiteraring what happened. We get it. We heard it. You arent special sir.
@@jimdash3423 the comment is 7 years old lol get a life
Funny how Jim treated Louis like he would us until the slug realized it was a "non commoner"
You're stupid if you think he should have treated him differently.. If that wasn't a top comedian on the phone, it would have been a shitty call lol...
Jimmy and louie have amazing chemistry.
It's been said before but it bears repeating that Jim looked like a a very large infant for many many years of his adult life.
@2:30 Louie is the only comedian I've ever heard make a joke about NOT wanting to commit suicide. It's usually the other way round. 🤣😂🤣
How do you not recognize your best friend's voice? Dunce!
thanks for putting this up. I listened to this live and I didnt know it was him at first either
I'm seeing Louis when he comes to England :) can't wait!!!

I'm actually looking forward to my 30's because like Jim said I feel like there are a lot of things I want to accomplish that I couldn't have possibly accomplished in my 20's.
Hope you are well now. I'm where you were when you wrote this.
"I'm as boring as one of your callers."
i know sir what is your question. you’re rambling
the moment he spoke i knew it was him.
also, this picture of Jimmy is rlly unflattering, lol, he has like 4 chins
What you sayn hes like chinese or sumthin, tss tss
killjoy frumkin
FUUHK YEAH! Double guns, chippah!
It's probably Jim's favorite picture. He's always complaining about not having a chin.
Callan Hutchison Well it doesn't really matter, there's NOTHING flattering about Jim Norton.
Callan Hutchison he's got one on the back of his neck too
Same, I was on the same wave length as Jimmy to the millisecond, I swear the millisecond Jimmy realised It clicked with me also.

this guy never leaves the US- bring lots of friends :) im going to the show in Stockholm!
Thats the sweetest thing he's ever said.

so much better than O&A show

His stand up is mediocre

hey good to see ya uploading caltrof... keep it up bud
Haha! That's fucking great that Jim didn't know it was him.
noo, i missed out on it cuz of work.. how did he do? did he perform new jokes and were they any good?
how did he not recognize him RIGHT AWAY?

Going to that o2 show
Fuck yes can't wat
They are so right about the high school peek years. Now I spend my days dreading each year of aging.
I was there, came from Tallinn. Did you make it?
First time i heard this I didn't know it was CK either lol *dat moment*
"We're inventing how to live this long."
yeah, my thought exactly
NO WAY HE DIDN'T KNOW THAT WAS HIM..... what a silly silly boy
True, but you also read the title so that's hard to say, ya know?
Louis ck didn't seem butthurt but the other guy is obviously overcompensating for something. Why are you taking this personally? Struck a nerve did I?

Just what makes you think that what you respect is what is truly respectable?
THAT IS THE FUNNIEST THING EVER he didn't even know it was Louis!
WHERE DID JIM GO TO??
I thought it was just a regular caller for about 20 seconds.

What's yours?
im officially on a man hunt for his Facebook profile.
You can just hear the machine running inside louis' head. He's a genius.
If he were a genius you wouldn't be able to hear that thing.
Oh man this makes me sad. Remember when Louis was the coolest real dude ever? Before he became Orson Kubrick Allen CK? What a shame.
might go back to the old louis now lol
