This man has 77 wins and although he got some losses he never once got knocked out. All of his losses came by decision. JT had one of the best chins in the sport.

NTMT Morris well that's because McLennan got injured Benn wasn't good enough and Julian would have wanted no part of James you fool. I'll tell who Toney beat that knocked out Julian in the second round of you wish or you could find out for yourself. You can also watch him spar McLennan on TH-cam if that will convince you

??? “Throwback”? Throwback to when? At what time were there tons of boxers who were just like James Toney? He wasn’t a fucking “throwback” he was just a special talent regardless of era. And some of the greatest and most skilled boxers of all time have competed during Toney’s era or afterwards... Mike McCallum, Roy Jones Jr, Pernell Whitaker, Floyd Mawyeather Jr, Michael Nunn, Evander Holyfield, Andre Ward, Terence Crawford, Canelo Alvarez, Vasiliy Lomachenko, Manny Pacquiao, etc. So I don’t understand this bizarre notion that Toney was somehow a “throwback”. such a challenging matchup actually (Fury is gigantic and can actually box at a very high level, which Toney can recognize). He then gave subtly grudging respect to Fury when he didn’t want to concede anything because the reporter was being so annoying. But real recognize real. Fury is one of the top p4p boxers of this era. It seemed like he had some subtle respect for Joshua as well in the beginning, he actually nodded in agreement that he was a top p4p fighter before the reporter got really annoying and just started rattling off names overwhelmingly fast and Toney just automatically said “no” to everything and everyone so as not to even participate with the reporter’s game

Lots of boxers can make other boxers miss their intended targets but rarely did I see James Toney make another fighter miss while not simultaneosly counter punching to his opponent's body or head.
Always relaxed and seemed like he was having fun controlling the situation from inside or outside range.
