    Thank you for addressing the issue of forgiveness outside the presence of the abuser. This has been an issue for me my whole life. I have no ill will for anyone, I pray for the abuser, but the abuser hasn't changed. Sometimes abusers use the word forgiveness as a manipulative tool. Forgive, love, and be wise.

    I just watched and listen to this and it was great. I feel there are many out in the world that would benefit from this message.

    Wonderful conversation. Life changing on so many levels. Interesting, that every time I have said I couldn't forgive myself, I was stating the truth. I can't. Only He can. Rather arrogant on my part after giving it some serious thought. Thanks to all of you! And your poem Patsy to your husband, is precious. Absolutely precious.

    @14:14 - Andrew - it's called doing what we can about the things we can! I can't control Muslims. I can't control any President. I can't control gays. 1) It's not my job. 2) I'ts an impossible task. So, we do what we can, show God's love, to whom we can - those closest to us. You nailed it and maybe if those calling you out for that practiced it, they would find their world changing! Patsy Clairmont! God bless you for stating out loud that God used your agoraphobia to work in you! Going through a valley is never wasted time, if we turn to God and let him use it to work in us! Thank you!

    I looked for a link to Part 1 and I'm not finding it. Is Part 1 a TH-cam video?

    • @carolj2013
      @carolj2013 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes - if you look to the left of your screen (on a computer), you should see Part 1 at the top of the list. Also, go to the Dinner Conversations main page and it should be listed there.

      It's not the Russ Taff conversation, is it? I looked in the description box and didn't find a link to Part 1 and after looking on the Dinner Conversations channel page, the only thing I saw that might fit is the Friendship & Fear conversation. Is that Part 1?

    • @carolj2013

      The Friendship & Fear conversation Part 1 is what you're looking for.

    @ 5:03 No you’re wrong. IF we confess our faults he is faithful to forgive us of our sins. Forgiveness does NOT happen automatically. That’s the damnable doctrine of once saved always saved. You better confess you sins to him and ask for Him to forgive you, or you won’t receive any.
    Otherwise, What’s the point of the cross?

    It becomes easier to forgive when you realize that Christ died for the sins committed against you and the guilt, shame, anger, or sorrow you carrie for that offense...He already took upon himself. He said by these stripes you are healed. You can write your name and the stripe and every time you are tempted to give into the anger just say- He already died for that so I would not have to carry this heavy burden. Also, Christ never one time said that He approves of the other persons wrongful behavior.
