Not even 2 minutes in and Anita Renfroe makes the most profound statement about true friendship. "They never got tired of loving me or praying for me." I have those friends as well (3 of them!).

This was great! Growing up as a tomboy, one of the things I missed out on was true friendships with other females. It carried over into my adult life and, even though I grew up in the church, I never truly learned how God wanted me to grow in my journey as a daughter, a sister, a wife or a mother. And even later in years as a mentor to other women in the church. I believe that is so important, and a cornerstone of our growth as women in faith. In the last 10 years I have tried to catch up and study a lot about God's purpose for not only me as an individual, but also God's purpose for me as a woman. Great stuff in these conversations!

as someone who also grew up a tom boy with three older brothers i always got along with guys better then women and it was hard for me to make women friends because i would run up against , for lack of a better term, women's jealous attitudes, even though i'm not pretty, or not invited out with the girls. so i value in a way the women who want to be my friends and it made me easier to relate to the misfits

You single men need to stop hiding behind Paul. You want to stay single, that’s your choice and it’s fine, but don’t go citing Paul’s words as your reason. GOD said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” If you use what Paul said as an excuse, don’t be surprised if you get God quoted back to you. Just own it, guys, own it, lol! 😄😄😄 Excellent episode, as always. I look forward to each new installment because I am always blessed by what you have to say. Thank you for sharing your dinner conversations with us.

I need a friend so much! I know in my heart the God is with, but the loneliness after the death of my husband is defining.
