Calico is a puzzly tile-laying game of quilts and cats.
In Calico, players compete to sew the coziest quilt as they collect and place patches of different colors and patterns. Each quilt has a particular pattern that must be followed, and players are also trying to create color and pattern combinations that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also able to attract the cuddliest cats!
Turns are simple. Select a single patch tile from your hand and sew it into your quilt, then draw another patch into your hand from the three available. If you are able to create a color group, you may sew a button onto your quilt. If you are able to create a pattern combination that is attractive to any of the cats, it will come over and curl up on your quilt! At the end of the game, you score points for buttons, cats, and how well you were able to complete your unique quilt pattern.

Great vid and wonderful that you did it with your cat. My favourite cat name is Inconvenience (or Inc for short) which was my first cat that I owned (although he is gone he will never by forgotten).
Do the specified patterns need to be contiguous? For example, does "AA-BB-C-D" mean that the two A hexes need to be adjacent, then the two Bs, etc, or does this just mean "two As, two Bs, etc" arranged however? Super nit-picky question, I know. :) Thanks!

for the cats, is it a combination of the 2 patterns ie could I get a cat by having 2 ferns and 2 flowers touching instead of 4 ferns?
Hi, it is not a combination of the two patterns. To get a cat token, you have to go with one pattern or the other.
Hi there. If your third placed tile fits the requirements for a button (pattern of three same colors) and also meets the requirements for a cat token (three connected patterns), are you able to put a button and a cat on that third tile?
