hey thanks for the video.. I have a Rikon 10-325 and the fence is actually fairly decent on this saw. It's the guides that actually bug me and I'm considering upgrading that part of the saw. It's always nice to have other peoples trial in error videos to help me learn. Thanks again sir hope you're enjoying your new fence!😊

I have this saw and you are right about the limitations of the stock fence. However, I don't think it is worth $50 for the deluxe fence when one can be made fairly easily. The saw is very underpowered to use for resawing. It can do it and mine gives very accurate cuts but it takes awhile to resaw hardwoods. The main issue I have with it is adjusting the guides. Takes 30 minutes to change the blade because the lower guide is so hard to get to. I end up taking the table off.

Pointing out how the ruler works seems obvious in hindsight - but was amazingly helpful. I had no idea why the ruler mark would be so far off of the blade, but now it all makes sense.

Thanks for the video! I'd also like to point out that this fence will also fit the 10-300 and it's Craftsman knockoff (which I have). Now to see if I can trade parts around for the toolless bearing ajustment.

Thanks for the video. I just bought this saw. After some research, I decided on the Rikon. But you had at the wheel alignment… In your opinion, does happen often? What should I look for when I get mine. Thanks again.

Just curious. Did you check the opposite side of the fence ? It works both sides of blade. Maybe the left side is not bowed .

thanks - very interesting- somewhat weird question - have you considered upgrading the motor to a 1 hp? I like the size of the saw but wanders if it is powerful enough?

I've resawn 4" oak with it. You just have to go slow. But 95% of what I do is cutting out shapes on stock that are 3/4" or less, and it has no issues with it. For my hobbyist use, it is fine. If I want more oomph, I'd probably upgrade to a 14" model to get more HP and depth.

What is the TPI on the resaw blade you use at 1/2 inch can you post a link please?

Very informative video. I cringed a little watching you resaw that piece when your fingers were so close to the blade. I have an older Sears Craftsman version of the same saw. I use the Carter Mag Fence on it, but it cost twice what you paid for that. Oh well.

It’s a shame that Rikon doesn’t the fence hanger with the fence so that when you take it off you have someplace to hang the fence to keep it with the saw and out of the way

I've always disliked this saw. I can barely put any pressure on the wood before the saw binds up. I've tried cutting 1" cedar and can stop the blade with it. I think the motor is just too undersized. My other huge complaint is that no matter what I do, my workpiece wants to walk away from the fence when I'm cutting against it. And any amount of pressure to keep it on the fence and it once again binds up the saw. I shouldn't be having these problems and it's always been this way. I'm sure it's not setup right, but parts of me wish i'd bought something different or bigger. I want to believe in this saw, but I just cant.

I would check all your blade alignment and tracking adjustments. Also, you may not have the blade tensioned enough. I've 2-1/2 oak without any issues. I also use Olson blades which cut very well.

If you really wanted us to read the instruction sheet out of the Rikon box, shaking it was a poor idea. Check out 6:00 to 6:10.

The purpose was not for the viewer to read it. Just to show it was a Rikon part.
