  • Another outdoor game in Elmhurst - 2 Cameras!
The game footage is so much better when you can see both ends of the ice. Plus, you can study both goalie's game. Mugslingers game 6 highlights from a few days before Christmas 2019.

    Hey Morgan, another great video!
I liked the two camera views. As far as getting lift on your passes, the newer composite sticks have a lot of flex. Putting downward pressure with your glove hand as you bring the puck forward and flicking the wrist will raise it off the ice. Just like shooting with a player stick only your holding it across your body instead of to the side. There are some great TH-cam videos about proper use of the Turco grip. Just takes time and practice. Great work buddy.

Hey thanks Jack! Glad you liked the 2 cameras. It's better for understanding the whole story of the game and your players get to see themselves working in the O zone! My puck handling problem is more this. I can lift the puck okay but I don't have any velocity on it. I shoot it as hard as I can and just get a wimpy flutter or slow slider that's easy to pick off. But do you mean flick the glove hand wrist so your hand rotates knuckles up?

@@iceicegoalie-OG yes it is nice to see the whole story. I have been wanting to pick up a second camera for awhile now. As far as passing, you can try and draw the puck back a bit before you start your pass to give you a bit more momentum, but yes, flip the glove hand knuckle up as you keep pressure downward to flex that stick. A bit hard to explain over text, but the link below explains it well. Just practice a ton and it will come before you know it.

Hey great game out there Morgan! You’ll get em next time! Love the end scene with the team. Totally jealous you guys have a real outdoor rink you play at! Keep up the awesome vids man!

Thanks Jordan! The bar after the game is almost as fun as the game! We are so lucky to have this outdoor rink. The ice is perfect too. The Zamboni guy is hilarious - since I'm usually early for games he tells me all about his struggles with the impeccable scrape! I'm jealous of the incredible ski hills in your intros.

Nice saves! Like the one at 2:30. Love the rink, I’ve never played outdoors! 😥

Thanks GoPro Goalie Uzi! It's by far the coolest place I've ever played. People keep wanting to put a roof over it to keep the rain and snow off the ice, but I'm glad they keep getting voted down. You do get rain outs but it's worth it for the open sky!

I HATE it when the net becomes dislodged, I try to play through it and I figure if anyone scores I can just use the excuse that the net was off and I wont count it 😃and I would argue that Mike is more than just a "good solid name" and that its a wicked awesome name, but of course I have absolutely no bias in that statement lol

When it's loose about 80% of my attention is on the darn net. My brain is weird - probably too many pucks to the noggin. :) Mike is a great name for sure, I know a LOT of cool Mikes. I played on a team a couple years ago where we had 4. Almost a whole line of Mikes!

I can’t stick handle at all :( When I play the puck it ends up in the back of my net. I like the 2 cameras.

I have skated to the corner and passed it right to an opponent. The guy was so shocked he almost missed the open net.

GOOD GAME CHRIS even though you got creamed. Try some peanut butter on the end of your stick.

So beers in the net, and peanut butter on my stick. Getting close to a pretty good snack!
