helpfull indeed, but the problem is when you get an hauling mission it gives their box sizes. say you have 100 SCU to run around, but the boxxes are all in 8SCU ones, you can not put them all in your ZEUS CL. even if it should fit in volume.
@@Keksuchen1297 For now, yes, but that's only temporary. It's always been planned that inertia will be applied to cargo boxes (and other items) inside of the ship, so flying with cargo off of the cargo grid will damage your ship once this feature is added.
The only reason its like that is stupid design policy of not letting us put vehicles in ships below certain $ cost, that ramp is specifically designed so you cant put anything wider than cyclone in
Thank you very helpful, but it shouldn't be this hard to load this new expensive ship lol... I have tried many ways to load and like yours the best! Bravo
If you can spare some SCU you can simply load 2x 32 containers on grid and one 32 container off grid beside it. I will probably never fill the full 128 SCU into the Zeus. Not worth it
Unrelated but out of sheer boredom and wanting to do something different than just completing the same old contracts, I was just thinking about offering my services to help load/unload crates at the major space stations and it occured to me that a persistent notes app in the mobiglass would be a huge help. I know they are adding an Org app, a calendar app and spectrum app, but a place to manually take notes without having to tab out of the game would be nice. It was something I was hoping Steam would add to the in-game overlay for years and when they finally introduced it, it was a game changer for taking notes in ESO.
Nice intro . You've obviously put a bit of time into working out what size containers and how many of each. Imagine though, if you had to do this in real life to load a commercial lorry = "4 full pallets, 6 half pallets and 10 that we'll just open and pour into the gaps, lol". CIG are just crap at this sort of thing. Why 128 SCU isn't able to load as 4 x 32 SCU is beyond normal logic. I'm going to melt my CL because it turned out to be such a disappointment re loading. There's really no excuse for this with new ships, certainly any that have been made since physicalised cargo. Thanks for another great video.
I think where he went wrong is using 24 scu boxes instead of 8 scu boxes. allowing for more modularity in building up and stop this jank method of placing the last boxes, saving you a bunch of time. If you use 8 scu boxes for the middle, it'll be easier to place the 2 scu ones against the wall 2x12 + 2x8 would probably achieve the same result in the middle.
The MSR is still better. Much wider and easier cargo entry, you can fit multiple vehicles in it and more space inside to move boxes. If anyone upgrades from C1, has to be MSR or Starlancer.
Because the C1 easily carries between 96 scu - 112 scu easily using the rear tractor beam to fill out the rear cargo.... Until CGI nerfed it just now 😢. You could slide a further 32scu down the middle walkway between the grid cargo and a further 18ish in the rear. U sacrifice access to engineering components but if u have a co pilot they can sit in the back... Or I simply use the rear cargo beam to pull out cargo
@@ninetalesxyo8842 That was doomed to die when engineering came in anyway, + Volatile cargo and such, CIG didnt really nerf it, as you can still do it as long as you dont grid any of your cargo.
i upgraded my c1 to zeus cl, primarily because hauling contracts either barely used 1/2 or even 1/4 of the c1 grid space or were way too much (plus i don't like being locked in by cargo) but zeus could fit the ~100 scu from medium contracts. pretty sure im going to melt it and quit trying to do cargo cuz woof is it frustrating to load this thing. if those contracts weren't mostly 8scu boxes it wouldn't as so bad but i just can't do it. there's just not a whole lot more besides combat in the game that im interested in and i want a decent interior.
as a CL ownner i felt the pain of stacking those final 2 8 and 4 scu boxes. i really want to love my CL i upgraded the C1 to it as i felt the inside was a lot nicer to daily drive and the additional cargo was nice, but im beginning to think the tradeoff wasnt worth it
So you got them in. now try getting them out manually. For me they didnt slide out. So I would recommend for the sake of speed use this ship for around 114 scu
Oh boy, this ship really is as much of disaster as people say. Does it not fit any 32 SCU containers? I haven't flown it yet. I want to like it but I suspect justifying it over a Freelancer Max or Connie Taurus isn't going to happen.
Nicely done but...the important question is ** How long did you take to load all that in? ** Serious question. Perhaps a supplementary question might be "What do you you think the practical capacity is when used at an outpost?" Ie How long would you feel comfortable sitting at an outposts with your ramp open and how much cargo will you have aboard when you decide its been too long and you need to leave? I suppose you could look at it from another angle and ask 'If you knew you had only 10 minutes to load as much as possible and leave, how much do you think you could load?' I am thinking that it is fairly easy to get in the central block of 72scu and it would probably not take much longer to put the 4x2scu at the sides first so 80scu in 10 minutes?
And now you've grid locked it so you can't get any of it out :P "STARC-132679: Extremely difficult to unload full 128 SCU Zeus MK II CL" (with video evidence) -- 103 upvotes and 43 contributions at time of posting.
So much work to compensate for that narrowed Ursa gate.

You can do it offgrid like the c1

Indeed. This nerf made to justify other ships has knock on effects. It’s a real shame.

I love videos that do exactly what they say on the tin, great job very helpful!
I guess this is what that "efficient use of space" everyone keeps blabbing on about looks like.
I have not found a better way. thanks. Well done
I like that it was all snapped cargo so will be possible after maglock comes in
Maybe pirates will avoid the CL since it is not easy to unload it when fully packed.
Amazing work. Good on you for figuring this out but… fuck me it’s unacceptable that they released this.
That is impressive stacking.
You are an artist. Superb

For now, you should be able to tell Steam to launch SC, and then use the notes app in the steam overlay

that is like saying the c2 is still better than the cutlass. they´re not in the same league and so aren´t the CL and the MSR.
NICELY DONE
So glad I didn't upgrade from my C1. This looks like a nightmare.
You mean downgrade. Capacity of C1 is unmatched with CL
@@denysk.1178could you elaborate? I found your post difficult to understand.

I have a much faster no brainer way to do it, upgrade to Starlancer MAX
Already did. Owned the zeus for less then 24hr
In the time you do this, I'll turn around twice with normal grid cargo.
LOL yea right?!
thats ok as long as the ladder works unlike mine yesterday
I’ve heard some people are experiencing that. Sorry to hear it. Hopefully it’s a simple fix and it come sooner than later.
Heh, make a ladder with some smaller empty boxes and get in through the side entrance.
Very good one thanks !

Just load 2x 32 on and if needed 1x 32 off grid and forget about the rest.
At this point the freelancer MAX is looking like the only direct upgrade over a C1.

this difficulty of fully loading/unloading in Zeus CL is intentional as CIG said in the last year, so yeah.

dude I can't put that 4scu in the top right corner
Why not use the CL's tractor beam?
If you watched the whole video you’d know. On board tractor beam is basically useless for this job

Just pull the 2scu boxes out on the inside when this happens to loosen the rear ones. It helps.

we be allowed to pick the box type for cargo

Absolutel awful and inefficient Design. The ship is pretty but the ramp and the cargo space is a catastrophe.

why not? it is all snapped cargo space so the panel access is still there.
