- To commemorate the 5th anniversary of Dave retiring from late night television (his last show was on May 20, 2015), I've put together a series of "first and last" appearances, the latter paying tributes in their own ways to the last giant of late night (h/t Jason Zinoman).
Part 7. Amy Sedaris
1. September 6, 2001
2. April 15, 2015
The 2015 guest appearance comes from Andrew Lynch's superb TH-cam upload, linked here: • Video
Letterman has such a crush on Amy. Who doesn’t?
She always brings impressive fashions to her late-night appearances. We don't immediately think of her as a fashionista, but she really has incredible taste.
She’s always the best guest on every talk show she appears on, but she was especially good whenever she was on Letterman & Conan.
Amy is an attractive woman, but her personality and smile make her one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen
roughly 40 in 2001 and looks amazing!!!
I love Amy so much. Thanks for this tribute series Don.
Amy is constant entertainment! I love her
I want it to be 2001 again so much
Yeah, cuz you love 9/11? Weirdo.
Comments devoid of thought are so demented.
eh....she was on Sept 6, 2001.....not the best time 5 days later
Any chance you'll put together a comprehensive Amy Sedaris collection like you did for Bonnie Hunt and Teri Garr? Thanks for all the work you do. I really appreciate it!
In time. And thanks!
I just want to piggy back on this comment and say thanks for the work too these are just great!
Hopefully he can while helping the new channel
Amy is such an awesome, funny person.
When I was young I dated a girl that shared a house with five other women. One of them got a rabbit for Easter that they would let roam around the house. One night one of the girls came home drunk and passed out on the couch - and the rabbit ate her hair off - so much she had to get a burr hair cut
Always insanely funny. Dave likes Amy as he loves Teri Garr. A difft.dynamic, but you can see he really loved both of these lovely ladies.
The funniest wackiest cutie pie of all time.
There great together !
She is so fine
I love the callback to her fandom of Dr Phil
Funniest woman ever.
The song she sings at the end - did she just make that up??
Growing pains theme song, and a Barbara Streisand song, but where does the boom clank bit come from?
omg that song she sings.... and paul tries to accompany her but its just too out of key and off the rails lolololol im dead
