Good to see Mark still at it. I only watched some of it and maybe finish it later. I am well over 75 years old and still do every function as the arborist I have been for 54 years, also CA since beginning in '92, although my 95' tracked spider, a Ronin and Wraptor make life easier and I feel no guilt about it. My 2 man op with me doing all the aerial work also plants many trees and that along with mentioned pruning and tree care, gives a huge tree and job appreciation for work outside of constant takedowns. Mark's forum Treebuzz has also taught and inspired many many would be and established arborists...worth mentioning. I used to be Treevet on it. Cheers.

Enjoyed the video. Especially the talk on climbing later in life. There is a thrill in climbing....it goes along with the dangers involved in climbing. I go slow (have to because I'm an old fool). I concentrate (try not to get distracted...which is easy to do). I follow my rules to the "T" (constant checking and evaluating me & the tree; proper tie-ins; proper saw control; awareness of surroundings, etc.). Getting older means losing strength, losing balance, (losing hair, of course), etc. I'm 78 and still love to climb and work a tree. Can't do it every day.....need recovery time, but I get'r done. Nice talk.
