This was a great trip down memory lane. My best friend and I would play this game at a local supermarket in our home town. He was always better at it than I was, he could finish it. Sadly, he passed away back in 1990. This made me smile and cry at the same time. Happy tears, though. I always love thinking of us being carefree teens in the 80's. Thanks for your upload.

I played this laserdisc game through mame arcade cabinets at my conventions. They had it, and I gave it a go. No quarters or tokens neccessary. I had fun playing this since it was very unique to me and had that Dragon's Lair feel. I loved it! ^^

Had completely forgotten about this game! There was a movie theater in my hometown that had this in it, around 88? (I recall it was when Die Hard and Roger Rabbit were in theaters) I dumped plenty of quarters into that machine either way.

I have to say that it does take you down memory lane. I was just 9 years old when I played this game for the fist time in my hometown, well more like a city. It was in the mid 80's. I use to go to my local market called Los Tres Amigos Market in California. I remember the big arcades I use to and still enjoy playing. The Amigos market had Mario Bros the original game from 1984 and Super Mario Bros Anytime I would get the opportunity to get a quarter I would use it to play. I loved playing super mario bros when it came out it was the IT arcade game. Next to these arcade games was this one, Don QUIX-OTE, i fucking hated the game, I wouldn't get passed the first scene. It was so fucking difficult for me to play this game, every time the arrows in green would appear somehow I wasn't fast enough to react and got killed. I never was able to conquer this dam game, nevertheless get better at it. I'm glad it only stayed in the market for a few weeks. The games I enjoyed playing as a child were, PACMAN, DONKEY KONG, MARIO BROS, SUPER MARIO BROS, GALAGA, HEAVY BARREL, 1942, DIGDUG, CENTIPEDE, CONTRA DOUBLE DRAGON, ZAXXON, POLE POSITION, XEVIOUS, PAPERBOY, TRON, SPY HUNTER, ALPHA MISSION, OUT RUN, BATTLEZONE, THEN CAME, MIKE TYSON'S PUNCH OUT, STREET FIGHTER, MORTAL KOMBAT

The game is loosely inspired by its namesake, Don Quixote, and features a heroic young knight named Don on a quest to save his love, the fair princess Isabella, who has been kidnapped by a wicked witch for human sacrifice to a demon. Don is accompanied on his travels by a donkey based on Rocinante the original Don Quixote's horse and a fat little man named Sancho castle as it is destroyed.

Man, laser disc and VHS games kinda sucked, but they could have been great if they thought of the "rhythm game" genre back then. That way, the video can be canned and the video overlay just tells you how well you're doing. The audio plays your part with a synth chip, but the disc/tape has all the other parts.
