Keep in my mind I've never played an original arcade cabinet of this, I've only played on Daphne so perhaps the real machine controls better. It also would have been cool if the car could have also looked "real" but in 1984 they were still pretty far away from digitized sprites like Mortal Kombat.

Yatabe isn't a tri-oval like what this game depicts, it's a standard oval track. So West GP isn't Yatabe.

If nothing else, this could be used as an important resource to know what Fuji Speedway was like before the 2005 redesign.

Though the camera is odd and your car looks like it's missing 2/3s of it's body, the way the vehicles sync with the FMV is really cool for the time.

Imagine this today with Gmap streetview resources and virtual/augmented reality tech. One could race anywhere in the world!

今の若い世代が見たら笑っちゃうかもしれませんが、映像と演奏は当時にしてみればゲーマーの度肝を抜いた作品だったんです。

This game does not work in MAME. You need to use the Daphne emulator, an emulator for arcade laserdiscs.
