ya know i would love to hear your feedback on a build i have been making which as it stands until update 40, it will use full heavy and the armor master and when update 40 drops it will use the new necro class set for minor proc and a free corpse gen to make up for armor master replacing bone armor with unstopable brute since i also think it has a 16 second cooldown time if i remember rightwhich matches up pretty well with the spirit guardian with than it will have as the final piece, death dealers fete and 1 piece trainee or druid. as for this builds abilites, on the front bar it will have an ice staff with a crusher with the abilites in their order will be frost clench, spiked bone armor, unstoppable brute, necrotic potency, and revealing flare with the ultimate being bone colossus (aoe lifesteal one). than the backbar will be dual daggers with one having a shock glyph and the other having an absorb stamina glyph with the abilites on this one would be hungry scythe, empowering grasp which you will use right after spirit guardian always to boost the healing by 1000 with of course spirit guardian right before it, with than resitant flesh and deadly cloak as the last 2 abilites with your back bar weapons will be the spectral cloak arena set. as for cp points, you will use ironclad, enduring resolve which basically finishes off your dot dmg mitigtion giving you major evasion for dots with the bone tyrant passive, from the brink to give you and your allies a chunky damage shield if you somehow managed to get low on health and give you some breathing room to maybe survive another hit although if you want more mitigation, you could instead just go for duelists rebuff here with than for the last cp in the blue tree, cutting defense since armor master, and resitant flesh as well as the full heavy armor, you will already have HIGH spell resistance so cutting defense can add to spiked bone shield and give you some serious reflect dmg on top of your healing and defense as well as total max health with than red cp points lastly will be pains refuge, bastion (dmg shield boost one which i forgot the name of i think) fortified, and healthy. as for race, you will be an imperial vampire stage 3 for the undeath passive and it also fits the theme and as for armor traits and enchants, full health focus on everything to just max out that health value with since i havent tested it yet cause i update 40 aint out, i will just wait to see which needs to be swapped out for sustain options if any.
I built tank necro wayyyy back whenever the class came out, and was a tank/buffer mix. The number of times I would take over for the tank and still keep the team topped up and buffed was fun. Felt good to just be a raging undead screaming about not touching their precious babies lol (also I got tired of tanks not using taunt skills and dying, so I take over and just sit in a pool of corpses and debuffs)
honestly with how many more buffs are now EASILY avalible, im loving that it feels like more and more people are starting to take a page outta the rp builders side of thing and learn to just make some fun and yet still viable rp builds with while ya dont need to rp in game, it is always fun to AT LEAST build around a theme :D
oh also is the imperial a good alternate choice? and also on that note, does battlefield acrobat or robes of alteration also apply their cost reduction to ultimates like how the imperial cost reduction works? if so id imagine that drakes rush could take arkasis
oh also heres a fun idea for a build, perhaps you could go with some of the dmg shield sets and build around any and all BONE abilites with the idea being me thinking about bone shield and that one way a tank can do their job is simply by making everyone REALLY durable and with the advent of the arcanist, shit like minor courage is gonna be dime a dozen now and as such it puts less stress on tanks to bring SPECIFICALLY ONE thing.
ya know this popped up in my reccommedned and i came back to watch again cause i just made a necro tank funnly enough that is based around dmg mit which i realised that the necro is truly a monstreous choice for dmg mit as i have made this thing. i will say the build is a really fun one tho where you use restoring sipon, spirit guardian, bone armor, pains refuge cp point, iron clad, enduring resolve, the armor and resistance for having an ice staff point, and biting aura as well as than playing a dark elf vampire stage 3 using encratis, leki's focus, and ironblood to have RIDICULOUS dmg mitigation especially as people start to kill you especially since you dont just get the bonus 20% aoe dmg reduction but also with enduring resolve nad making sure to use the bone armor ability with all necro passives, you actually also get 21% dot dmg reduction and of course when you block with a ice staff or shield you get that sweet cool like 74% single target dmg mit and on top of all of that you get 34% dmg mit from your buffs and the 50% from your armor and if people hit you with too many negative effects you can recover whatever extra % dmg they will make ya take by 20% or get ya to low health you get upwards of 30% meaning if they max out both than you get a bonus 50% dmg mit so even if they caused you to take 30% or even 40% more dmg, you flat out will hardly notice the like 10% dmg mit they took from your still leaving you at like 95% dmg mit........
Their already could be a video about this that i havent been able to find but a video about stat caps and what buffs to prioritize as a tank would be amazing rather than just following guides
Your old soul eater build, we had potentates instead of monster set with arkasis FB, drakes BB with mythic. I’ve been doing that old build for at least 2 years now for dungeon trifectas. So long as I bash on the right bar and potion on the right bar, it’s been amazing. Colo on every pull basically. Why the change I’m curious?
Obviously it's still possible to go with that previous setup, I wanted to refresh the build (like you said it's been 2 years!) and using this new setup felt less complicated compared to the old one so it will potentially make it more accessible for people
No, that would only make the chances of decisive procing about 50% and again it is only 1 additional ultimate. You can get 100% on arkasis by using infused potion cooldown glyphs as explained in the vid. The idea is to generate ultimate asap for 100% uptime on major vuln from colossus. You can take this even further by using stage 1 vamp with the ulti gen beam heal morph, but not necessary. I use this build and with enough corpses, I generated 175 ultimate 6 seconds before major vuln ran out out the target lol
mh mh i started tanking recently and as a dungeon tank. I went for spaulder- TTT- and drakes rush and on bosses nazarey -TTT-DR . is that still viable or do i need a second set for bosses to replace DR like olo or PA? Ofcourrse tanking more and getting bbetter at it in general is the most important but to be honest sometimes as a learning tank you just get alot of shit^^
Do you think you can make an ec tank I been wanting one for so long just don’t know the right set up I have the ec set but I’m not sure what to run it with pearls/sax/crimson just for the health but then idk what treats to put on them too and just gotta say I love this build looks very good I might have to switch over to this I like to off/ main tank but I run pearls with pa or sax with pa
I don’t get why you rank necros so low and then make builds that don’t even give them a fighting chance. Of course they’re gonna rank low when you play them like this.
I'm not sure but i think it's the lack of sustain in transition fight and the fact that they have no unique buff that rank them lower. I may, very well, be wrong.
Have you ever tried playing a game for fun? This is a fun alternative build, if you watched it for long enough you would also have seen the optimised Dungeon/Trial setups and on my last class ranking video for next patch the Necro was 3rd for Dungeons and 1st for Off Tanking so thanks for your valuable comment.
@@TheTankClub yes, I do play the game for fun but you’re the one out here claiming they’re the worst tanks… then making builds that make them even worse.

Wouldn’t heartland be more effective to use than arkasis based on decisive trait? For a 100% uptime?

That barrier ult is to be used whenever mag is low, as the main ult or just for thr passive?
It's just for the increased Magicka Recovery but feel free to switch it for something else if you need it such as the Reanimate Ultimate.

Main problem is I run into a lot of dd that don’t have dps high or low lvl players
How did you get up to 44k max health with 18 points into the stat?
Food, Enchants & Passives, it will also vary depending on gear sets used.
I cant get void bash since the arena is to difficult what other front bar can i use

Pvp build please
Going to need a PvP partner or something to start doing that, I'm not much of a PvPer 😕
Think eso made tank builds useless bc all builds are different for every fight and raid team 😢 eso is pretty boring these days
I think they made it more interesting it’s more diverse now
disregard this video, this is for people that can't tank and are complete begginers and even then it's pretty bad
