Precise pitch and rhythm & also emotion is good. This is the reason why Geert is one of the greatest whistler!!

Amazing performance by Geert Chatrou. He knows how to not overuse vibrato. Too many whistlers use vibrato like no tomorrow and it completely ruins the performance. The reasons why not to are the same reasons why violinists do not use extreme vibrato on every note. It ruins the magic and luster that the vibrato is meant to provide in the first place. Props to him.

I've been whistling with that range and close to his skills since i was 10.. never knew I could have entered tournaments for whistling.. my preference is to use my tongue over my lips ;p

I can whistle, but can't reach these high notes. I don't know what happened to my mouth. so frustrated.

Was expecting tooth whistling for the high notes but he managed them with standard whistling. Much better than expected and quite musical. I liked the way the piano was giving him space.

This is incredible. Just incredible. I was wandering around the house whistling Clair de Lune today and after the fifth time through, I realised that this video must exist. So glad it does.
I thought I was doing well, hitting all the high and low notes. And I suppose maybe I was. But this is just so clean. An absolute masterclass.

I whistle since I'm kid and I went to discover that there is professional in it, and i went to discover that i'm better than them except Sean Lomax.
my problem with geert is that while he gets the notes right he blows too much air making it sound breathy, distorted and off tune (even if he does get the note) as opposed to other whistlers like Roger Whittaker.
I think it makes a more pleasant sound, because just pure tones can cut into the ears a bit.
Personally, I like the slight air of his tone. It makes it sound more natural and gives it that unique feeling. Similar to how flutes have that slight hiss to them that allows them to project. At least when played by a good player. Although I do feel that he does get a little too airy sometimes.
