Deluxe board is a true concave construction design. It means concave goes through the entire deck from nose to tail. I have been sticking to the deluxe board and spitfire wheels for about 15 years.
Skating a set up like that now. It’s smooth. 8.9 inch egg Creature deck with 8.75 over the trucks and a 13.875 wheelbase. I ride some Venture 8.75s on them with the “loose”Venture Bushings that are shorter on the top bushing. So you can skate them looser than standard.
Got me wanting to try one! I felt the same way about the 13.75 I was wondering if it would skateboard better with thunders since they stretch ur wheelbase awesome vid dawgy!!!
@@ETANGSKATES try them with some ventures stretches the wheelbase the most. And they even just dropped the 8 hole baseplate that you can use to adjust ur wheelbase
I'm the same way with sizing up my trucks (I ride 144s with an 8" board - it's funny, I learned it from Breanna Geering, who is on that deck that you're setting up 😅), I'd rather have my axles lined up with the edge of my deck than have a hovering board type of effect, plus it gives you more hanger to grind! I don't know why every truck company tells you to downsize trucks... doesn't make any sense. New set up looks great! 👍
@@nudelholz7999 I haven’t tried the V hollows yet. I do own all the venture sizes 8-8.75 but all standard highs. I need to try the V Hollows and the V titanium’s
Changing the wheel size by 4 mm up is kind of a big change. I ride 50 mm F4 and one time I was not able to find them, so I bought 52 mm F4. Honestly, I put back my old beat up 50 mm ( were 46 mm at this time) until I fund some 50 mm. The 52 mn wheel, was feeling to heavier!
i recently jumped in wheel size from 46mm (prefered them worn in) to 56mm i think with my snot wheels im trying and im trying 95a over 101a and baby its butter. a whole new world of skating for me has unlocked. just gotta get the body there.
As one of the "coming back out of retirement" folks (only skated like once a month for many years up until my shiny new local park opened) and seeing all the spec madness skate components, it's really got me ready to buy a new set up. My destructos are from like 2005 and my random 7.75 shop blank is several years old and it all still works, but these fat boards are enticing except thinking about having a heavy clunker. Thing that gets me is people's height and shoe size vs board. I'm only 5'6, 8.5 shoe so I shouldn't be riding a board the same thing as guys 6'+. a deck length difference of 0.5" vs a human height difference of 6".. hmm. It does make sense that I'm seeing female pros with these True fit sizing.
I have a board in about every size. Every imaginable difference is mental. I reach for what I feel a particular day but have a couple favorites. Absolutely none dramatically improves anything
@@joshhenry2446 that’s a niiiice size I must say was my go to for a while I was stuck on the 838 with a 1425. But I like it to be a little smaller than 32. Like 31.8
But also i have an 8.25 13.75 wb rn with tensors and im thinkin i need risers for ME but then ive had other ppl try my board and they kill it first try so its prob just me lmfao
I just got a new board. I had it shipped and, damn it, they gripped it for me by default! Thinking of taking it off and regripping. The top is a sweet electric blue and I’m thinking of doing a 1” stripe with some clear griptape. I’d read some things about clear grip, but I can’t see a 1” stripe being too bad. Thoughts anyone?
your cat just chillin
lol on pawtrol
this is looking really slick

doesn't every board have that? where is the extra concaves, what do you mean
Looks cool!
My setup is a 8.38 true fit with 149 thunders. Best setup I’ve ever had
Hellyeee🙌🛹💯
Deluxe boards are 🤌
Setup looks sick! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks yo! And yeee they good borts 🛹💯
I don't know what a deluxe Is smh
52mm is standard size wheel for me, it’ll be interesting to know how you get on with those boardycakes 🤔
That graphic looks sick! I recently set up a curb board to learn slappy grinds so I’m looking forward to riding that.
What you should really do to change the feeling of a setup is changing trucks, try those 13,875 wheelbase decks with some Ventures! Thank me later!!!!

No. Indy’s rule
Should get some of the new Venture V8’s so he can adjust the wheelbase depending on which hole pattern he uses
sick new deck bro! i ride a 8.5 anti hero. hasnt let me down yet!

Sick wheel shape. Almost like a radial/conical hybrid

oh also least fav part of setting up a board is cleaning bushing second to re threading anything.
Bro you gotta start doing these at the park so we can see you sesh it too

setting up a board adjusting your new trucks figuring how much you wanna turn, the worst part. We have similar techniques in our Setup
the best size 8.38 x 32 with a 14.25 wheel base in my opinion

Yo, you're living with BevUp ?
Big wheels? Lol
You would get high centered skating acrost a parking lot up here in the north west with less than 54s
That graphic sucks.
