My favorite trope is the character thats meant to be a villain being too stupid or clumsy to be an actual threat or a villain believing they are doing good and trying to convince others they are doing good, makes the villain more interesting
Technically you are right, it isn't "instalove". For feelings to be considered love, it has to last at least 4 months, ask google if you don't believe me. It can be a crush, but not love.
I hate the instalove trope, partially because I don't understand how someone can look at someone and say "bro can we date" after they just met, even catching feelings that early is weird to me. Maybe it's partially because I'm demiromantic but even without that *who tf has the confidence to do that*
I read an amazing fanfiction with the fake dating trope :D I usually don't read those cuz I tend to look at them in real life perspective but this one was amazing.
I had spent lots of time making these 2 side characters where they'd kind of have a mix between enemies to lovers and friends to lover kind of thing. The two characters are Elliot (F) and Murat (M), Eliiot is the hero's sidekick while Murat is the Villans sidekick. Overtime, they would actually become friends secretly without anyones knowledge. They'd secretly visit each other and hang out. Murat is the first one to fall in-love first and at the end of the story, they actually become a confirmed couple and they'd go on to live their normal lives with each other, getting married and stuff. I then later realized that I'm becoming obsessed with these two lol 😭😭 what's your thoughts on this from this info.
my favorite trope is when there's two people who have both committed horrible crimes that are justified with good reasons, making them morally gray. and when they both fight crime together by committing justified crimes. basically horrible person x horrible person (not necessarily romantic) . eg. I'm the Grim Reaper, Not Even Bones
Vidéo/Series idea: reviewing books to see how many and what tropes apply, and a rating of the book. Your drawings could go really well with this, and I hope you consider this as a series idea. (Also if you decide to do this, Fourth Wing/IronFlame could work nicely)
Idea: protagonist prays to whichever god that they're the chosen one, god declines, protagonist decides they're the chosen one anyway out of spite (probably already been done but at least it's more interesting)
"The Chosen One" trope got me thinking about Dune- Like, I think that Dune executed that well. But what I wanted to comment was that... Does anyone have recommendations of books that are like the point of view of the side character? Let's say a character that is pretty close to the main character, but not included in everything the character does. I feel like it would create very interesting opinions on the 'main character' ('main character' because the actual main character is the 'side character'. Also- I feel like Nimona is kinda that? It was interesting

Harry potter is also a very popular example of the chosen one trope, I think it was also executed well
