This is one of the biggest surprise hits of the year for me, got to play it for the first time recently and instantly fell in love. It's really intriguing and perfect for our group.
In trick taking games like Pinochle it's a lot easier to track and count cards. I don't see that being possible in this game. Keeping track of played cards doesn't even seem like a valid strategy in this game.
That's kind of the point. You don't necessarily know which cards have entered play, and you don't know which cards people have drawn from their deck (assuming they have more cards than the hand size), so you have to play the odds and take chances. -WEM

@boardgamegeek yeah, I kinda like that idea. It kinda levels the playing field. Some people are better at keeping track of what's been played already.
