I love the bike and I certain love the review, it's great, it's filled with valid points and my favorite bike! You've earned a subscriber my guy, keep it up, also I really like the look of your gear too! Stay safe!
@@atastefortheroad4475 oh heck yeah dude, I can't wait! Your vids are gonna be the perfect after school cooldowns this year, keep writing and keep riding!🤙 P.S. That's a BEAUTIFUL location for your vids dude! I've always loved VA!
The owner did add the spacers and while better there is still a bit leftover. I have the spacers on my Monster and it's a great addition. If I bought a SP I'd do both the spacers and the V&H/ECU remap. Thanks for commenting and enjoy the rest of your week.
Enjoyed that review thank you. I’m in the UK but don’t really have issues about it being built in Thailand, although it would be good if built in the UK. I had a T120 and I’m still getting used to the Speed Twin. I think it will hold my interest for a long time.
I've been a rider for almost 40 years and I currently ride a 2016 Goldwing. But as a 77 year old who has no plans to stop riding, the Goldwing might just be a bit more weight than I am comfortable handling now. I'm seriously thinking about a lighter bike come next Spring, and having had a few Triumphs in the past, I am very interested in the possibility of a Speed Twin as possibly my last motorcycle. I'd be very interested in comments by anyone that is or was in my same situation and would like to talk about the Speed Twin, or the Street Twin as a bike for a former Goldwing rider.
This one has been very high up on my shortlist. My only reservation has nothing to do with the bike, per se. I’m going to be a single bike guy for the foreseeable future so I’m just trying to decide whether I want something like this or something with a little more versatility (Tiger 900). Thanks for the vid!
Hi EP - thanks for commenting and I can understand your dilemma. Do ride both so you have a fair comparison for what your needs will be heading down the road. Either machine is a fine choice - and good value. Happy hunting!
Yes - in theory. But w/automation, overall labor costs drop and therefore the price advantage. What I'd like to see is a R model that adds radial brakes and better suspenders.
@@atastefortheroad4475 Despite the fact that i like Triumph, and the Speed Twin is absolutely gorgeous I still reckon they are very expensive for what you get.
Completely agree about the suspension. Stock suspension is absolute crap on anything other than glass smooth roads. I've had mine for a year now and really can't stand it as it is.
@@galeriafuentes .....it probably depends on you. I am not heavy enough to be able to get the correct sag in the suspension even with the pre-load on the lowest setting. I at least need to change the springs but will replace the entire rear suspension unless I can sell the bike.
Best demeanor and unbiased perspective I have seen in any review. Great job!
Keith - thank you for commenting and have a great weekend. Cheers.
Great video with valid points. I have covered 2800 miles on my speed twin and strongly agree with what you say. You have a new subscriber here.

Will do and thanks for the support!
Nobody mentioned that the black gauge inserts aren't oem, they are Arton Works aftermarket.
Where is this place? This to me is heaven! Great landscape Great review!
Thank you. This is Great Falls, Virginia. It's about 15 miles west of Washington, DC.
The Ducati spacer mod resolves the throttle issue - its just two bits of plastic that fills a gap in the throttle mechanism.

Great video fantastic bike I have one in the storm grey 🇬🇧👍🏻
Thank you and the grey metallic fleck is nice. Enjoy your SP this summer! Cheers.
Loved the review. Great perspective. Thank you

Pete - You're welcome and thank you for commenting. Triumph has a done a great job here and hit a lot of high notes w/the SP. Enjoy your machine!

Love that. 77 and a ST as a lighter bike.What a legend👌

A Taste for the Road The obvious solution is to buy one of everything. I need a Monster, a Speed Twin, a Tiger 900 and a YZ450. Problem solved. 🤣
True - and rates have never been lower. :-)
Nice video Scott, love riding the back roads in great falls. Check out river bend road if you get a chance. Sold my monster and bought a Daytona 675r!
Alex - Thank you and River Bend Road is great piece of pavement. Your 675R is a very nice machine for the GF landscape. Have a great week!
BMW is making some of their engines (F 900 XR) in China.
Well, being built in Thailand it is not that cheap... better suspensions would have easily fit the price
