WorkingClassSloth, it might be one of those dishes you only let yourself have 1 x year. Like at Easter or Christmas so others are there to share and I'm not temped to eat half the dish myself. Too many people at Thanksgiving because then I might not even get any before it's gone. I was trying to think of a way to do the bacon. I do think lining with it would be too much but I felt like mixing it into the mac would make the bacon soggy. So either mixed in with the chips to go on top. Or, 2 thin top layers with either crumbled bacon then chips or chips then bacon. Humm. Christmas is a long way off. Maybe I'll aim for Labor Day. I read a novel where one of the characters cut up cubes of a cooked ham to stir into her mac. I guess that's like a country version of lobster mac & cheese. I used to watch every episode of All That and Kenan & Kel, and the Good Burger movie, which was confirmed recently to have a sequel in the works. I'm definitely a fan of him.
Leslie does choke on her lines a lot, but Pete always cracks and people think he's charming so I think there's some biases involved. I actually don't like what they do with Leslie in a lot of sketches. They always write her as an angry, oversexed black woman, but I think she does better when they give her a different character to portray.
Choking mid-sentence destroys the pacing of a joke, cracking up rarely does. It's the most competitive job in comedy, there's not any room for excuses! Leslie's great at one thing (and as you say, she gets type casted a lot), but I don't think she has the versatility to stick around for so many seasons. She must be writing some great sketches to have lasted this long though, so fairplay to her.
Joseph Galamba no bias. Pete doesn't flub in every sketch. It's not exaggerated, she literally fucks up in every sketch I've seen her in. I don't like Pete much either but at least he can make it through a sketch.
She's a much better writer than she is a comedic actor. her timing is usually off and she cracks up a lot. I do think bias is part of hte HATE she gets too. both can be true. She is great and I love her energy and a lot of her skits are funny. But she does break a LOT.
