For me the plane is not manually going down when I turn the Approach mode on, I have to use the Vertical Speed to make the aircraft descend, and I don't know at which rate I should descend

@@Kayshots I have found the fix, when you turn approach mode on for ILS, you have to make sure the localizer frequency is set in the navigation radio page, then youll be able to descend automatically.

it turns on automatically in boeing planes once you are close and low enough
