- Pinus gerardiana, known as the chilgoza pine , noosa, or neoza, is a pine native to the northwestern Himalayas in eastern Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northwest India, growing at elevations between 1800 and 3350 metres.Chilgoza is one of the most important cash crops of tribal people residing in the Kinnaur tribal district of Himachal Pradesh.

Sister, I was introduced with 'Chilgoza' from a famous Bengali book on Mount Himalaya. And when I visited Kinnaur, I bought some Chilgoza for home... It was totally different in taste, an experience of a new kind of dry fruit. Kinnauri people are very innocent and simple I think.💕

These peoplwork so hard but dont get much out of their efforts. The whole cream is taken by the dalals. They are very expensive to the tune of 4500 to 5000 per kg. Poor people. Their efforts are not realised .

हमारे भारत के किसान काफी मेहनत करते है. लेकीन हर जगह किसान की एक ही बडी समस्या है कि, व्यापारी से अच्छे पैसे नही मीलते .

I think these people are Tremendous hard workers and they should have pay right money for their work. I am living in New Delhi and this dry fruit is my favorite and I have spent 6000-7000/- bucks for it really ❤👈

Indeed !!! In Pakistan it is Almost rare and KG will Cost between 8 to 9000 PKR Rs . Around 4000 IndiaN Rs . Don’t know Price in India bt in Pakistan it’s too much expensive !!! I believe such farmers should be facilitate with Marketing and Direct access to Customer be given !!! Regard .
Next time when you buy, don't negotiate the price
Negotiating on price with farmers is not okey. But how many buy directly from these farmers.
