Thanks very much, you can book Intercity railtours on their website here: inter-city.co.uk You can find other types of tours if you search online for example Saphos train tours (steam trains) or the Statesman. Hope this is helpful sorry its quite a long reply!
It’s a kitchen car, from LSL’s Statesman set, it has been added to the intercity coaches because they don’t have a kitchen car in that livery because this is the first time they have ever done first class dining on an intercity railtour!
Sorry I didn’t see this comment earlier, yes, they run regularly to and from Sellafield they have to have atleast 2 locos but sometime have more (not running just for moving them about as it saves time and less drivers needed). Thanks for watching!
Nice video great camera work as usual I am really looking forward to seeing your next video I hope you get a nice video next time also when is your next video going to be on TH-cam bye for now Philip
Although I’m nowhere near as keen on the diesel locomotive as I am on the steam locomotive, I can still appreciate their use in railway history, not to mention the present day!!
I must admit I think I prefer diesels than steam, especially deltics or class 37s, however this video mainly features the electric locomotives, 86101 & 87002, thanks for the comment! 👍
@@Fran-ho7qu Of course I do!! I’m more attracted by steam locomotives though!! I would add that I watch the electric trains running past my model railway club premises just outside Broxbourne Station.
hi, great video, those locos look FAB, the engineers should get a medal for their hard work.
They certainly do look fantastic, thanks for the comment!
Excellent video of the rail tour.
Thanks!
Wow!!!!!! That is a fine looking train! Really nice to see.

Top job a Proper train Bring them back !!!!! 😁
A good week of Locomotion; first your 56 video, then the 37’s with crane now this! Good work

Very nice days filming, if not a long one for you, looking great in that livery, cheers 👍
Luckily it wasn’t too long because I went home to Wigton inbetween and went back again for the return later, thanks for the comment!

Saw 86101 & InterCity Mk3s at Crewe on the way home from the Battle of Nantwich last weekend.
Having seen this at Penrith and Lockerbie, I can say that this is a nice railtour!
Yes it certainly is! I wondered where you had gone to see it.

What's the coach behind the 86 ?

Why was a very short train double headed? Was it a British Nuclear Fuel train?
Yes, they always are so they won't be stranded if one loco breaks down

Seems such a shame to have Sir William Stanier's name on such a mundane-looking loco...
I wouldn’t say it’s mundane? Maybe back in 1980 but there are now very few preserved, and in my opinion it looks fantastic.
Mundane? Backbone of the WCML for 35 years. A worthy successor to the Stanier pacifics
