The thing I like the most about Arishem is that he makes Alliance Quests so accessible. I'm not going to play a Wong + Gamora deck, but i can easily swap two of the cards in Arishem decks out and basically have the same power
@gohwenting3786 as someone who has a lot of the good cards and can afford a lot of the decks KM talks about (except I tend to replace hydra bob and the wolf package when I wanna play something else), I am still an Arishem main and so thus I approve this message #GOARISHEM
Arishem is basically a needed evil for players who can’t afford to get every card that comes out. Arishem allows you to play any card with it and still get decent results
Arishem shouldnt be good. the deck is so skillless and annoying to play against. I get the point that it allows to play cards that you wouldnt normally get but making it a bad deck still would give players the chance to play the cards. And you dont need every new card to enjoy snap anyways, just focus on decks you actually want to play
It's not just the subdued voice, it's the way your eyes are underlit that make it look like you're wearing eye makeup on those pretty eyes! Masc straight dudes in makeup is a whole genre! I know this, because I also have deep set eyes with long eyelashes, and strong eyebrows and brow bones and all my girlfriends have been jealous haha!
The issue with Arishem is the same as with old Galactus. Building around that card wasn't the best deck and had no legitimate claim to it, but it often felt difficult to cleanly play around and, most importantly, it was an annoying feel bad. It makes losing to it feel cheap and frustrating, but winning against it doesn't feel particularly rewarding. We don't need a worse Arishem, we need one that feels fair. I think the only way to achieve that is to place a meaningful restriction on him, like with Galactus needing to win his lane. Pulse Glazer used to say that Arishem should turn off cost reduction, and I think even just doing that to all the generated cards (including ones from Loki and Coulson) would reign in a lot of the games that just feel unwinnable. Unfortunately, there is no fix for the feel bad of them always generating the perfect answer, but a different nerf avenue that could reduce it is making it so Ari can't generate a copy of the other 11 cards in the deck. I don't think either of these make Arishem that much worse, so I'm confident SD can implement a solution that alleviates some of the toxicity surrounding the card without killing it (like how they killed Galactus). Also, in case anyone else misses when Galactus was good, I think they should change him so he only destroys 1 location that you are currently losing. That way Galactus still needs to win 2 lanes (which is more fair) so they can give him a body that isn't ass. Plus, it keeps his current decks playable while making space for other possibilities.
The other upside to changing Arishem to not work with cost reduction is that Loki can be a real card again. I know people found him annoying, but I think he was an important pillar of the meta. Plus it would be really nice to have a good card generation deck that isn't Arishem. Maybe Hand will be enough to make it a real deck when she comes out in January.
I hate arishem. I dont know why this card was ever added. It creates a deck that you never have an idea of what they are playing or aiming towards or what moves they can make because half of their deck is random cards. Every other deck you can get a grasp of how they are playing and what are key cards for them and their options. Not arishem. It is the only deck in game where what they can do is absolutely random. If they intend on keeping it then it needs nerfs. To start there should not be a -1 cost period. Secondly it should probably reshuffle their hand every turn so they can even guess their next move so they have to deal with the randomness that we do. Worst most imbalanced card in game. I hate playing it. I will retreat arishem games immediately. Id rather get galactus every other game than the randomness of arishem.
Hey KM, I was your opponent in the Darkhawk Bounce match. I got your Alioth from daily bugle so I was playing for priority to get my Darkhawk down on the nexus first. Then the Iceman you played hit my Darkhawk, with my hand full of cards! It was over then 😅
I don't buy the random cards arguments for people being salty with Arishem, but moments like these 13:20 where you had little odds of winning but topdecking a specific tech card magnifies the "no way" feeling in Arishem for me. Granted this can happen in every match, but with an extra 15 cards is mathematically more insulting 😂
Easiest way to balance Loki in Arishem decks is you lose that energy ability if you switch decks or wording like "you have this extra energy as long as Arishem started in your deck and stays on your side (your discard, graveyard counts as your side.) So yeah Cable could steal it making you lose that ability but Loki should not get it once he ditches his deck
🎉 Valentina/Cage with a High Evo/Abom has me at like 70+% win rate 🎉 give it a try! It's a mild toxic build with Grandmaster and Rogue...highlight play is Echo and the Luke Cage on the same lane in case they try to Rogue the Cage [we play Rogue too]
9:14 me losing today to their randomly generated dagger and kate's grapple arrow in a throne room game so i got to disagree here just 3/15 out of oblivion and they still got 4 more energy to play with on turn 6
I still play Loki without arishem but I agree he's not that good. I know I'm biased but imo it's bad taste to kill a whole archetype like they did with Loki.
I will stand on the fact that Arishem players are always the most annoying to play against. In gameplay and other aspects. Always nonstop emoting like it takes skill to play this baby deck.
I am so glad you do not think Arishem is OP; I do not have a crazy win rate with this deck nor do I have a crazy hard time beating it. Just a solid deck that I do not think needs to be changed anymore Though I do HATE new Loki with Arishem, its lame and boring but it is what it is
So tired of Arishem .. they always have shang when they need it .. quinjet is always in hand T1 .. they see every card they put in the deck .. Arishem doesn’t clog up at all
I don't like Arishim. It's not fun. I conceded turn 1 vs All Arishem decks in diner. I have given up on Conquest mode because of Arishem. Game 5 vs Arishem? GG, T1 concede. I'm not here for this.
me: hey, with feast and arishem i can play this generated galactus on 3! that’s pretty cool, i can’t wait to opponent: cassandra nova + taskmaster L + ratio GG shake my hand stay mad
I find the anti Arishem crowd way more toxic and cringe than the Arishem players. Arishem folks are trying to have a bit of fun in a game. Darkhawk / cass is some boring same game every game stuff
Just hv to say, Arishem deck isnt that OP on its own, but if it is played by lucky player, thats another story. Quinjet, Loki, Agent Couson, Legion, Alioth are always drawn fr the start or right on time. Also random combo cards appear fr nowhere, a random Sentry follow with a random Annihilus, really?
I don’t think anyone actually believes Arishem is “too good”. Some just think it fells bad to lose against it. Don’t think they will ever change it, tho. The card single handedly keeps a lot of people in the game. It’s that fun. Frankly? Arishem is a very balanced deck. I think Arishem being good is sort of a thermometer to see if the meta is balanced or not. Arishem is just the superior “good stuff” option. It’s highly inconsistent and only truly has a chance against decks that “play fair”. So it’s fine, really.
To quickly summarize…you understand that it is almost impossible to know what an Arishem player is going to do, but it is ok because the power output isn’t the best? I totally disagree and I think you contradict yourself in this video. For example you said that bounce is great against it. Arishem has many answers in the form of tech! (Aka Shang, shadow kind, and anything that might be and will be generated!) Also, let’s not forget that Arishem player has snap advantage. It is easy for them to see the plot line to the decks they are facing since most people just copy and paste popular decks. Arishem player hides behind the fact that they can get cards from Arishem and other cards such as agent coleson, and never have to play their own cards to win. Overall, there are broken aspects to this deck. I know you don’t engage in Conquest, but Arishem is one of the hardest decks to beat in this mode. It clearly has the upper edge. I value your opinion, but I think you have noticed how unsupported your opinion is at this point. I see many streamers and creators of Marvel snap content that absolutely hate Arishem. Idk if this is just a “controversial view” that you hold just to be different. I definitely see Arishem being changed at some point. Any card in the past that has had this much hate has been changed. I really enjoy watching your content, but we will never agree on this topic. Also, the glazing on the “goon night” deck of yours was a bit much😂. Regardless, hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!
Truth. I started counting my wins against arishem in diner. It was 19-1 (i had to retreat once, locations gave me rocks...) - and it was done without any Arishem counter. People are overreacting. I know well enough that when playing this deck highrolls dont happen often. Its a simple 50/50 win deck that makes you play tacticaly instead of strategicaly. Now we are seeing a lot of hate for Negative Gorr... but again, how many times negative players get the perfect combo to play? How many times do they retreat before that? ;)
Idc. I'm not playing cards I didn't put in my deck. Hard enough getting good draws, people can loki me so they win....kidding I'll retreat asap. Cause my shit is gold and yours is a turd
Engagement within first hour. The reason why Arishem is so good is because it cheats with energy in order to output more power than your stereotypical small ball deck and then also has tech cards to shut down overwhelming combo decks. Alioth to tear down Tribunal, shang chi to help deal with Surtr and other big stuff, and Shadow King because Shadow King is very good in a deck that already doesn't have issues outputting power.

I love that arishem is good cuz it gives me a chance vs annoying new decks that always include a bunch of new series 5 cards I can't afford
I think one of the main problems people face, when going against Arishem, comes from the conquest experience
You had me at “orthogonal.”
The reason I play arishem is because it’s the only deck I have all the cards to…
At least you got the most fun deck out of them all #GOARISHEM
This is what I think as well. I don't have a lot of series 5 cards. So arishem is the only card that allows me to have fun.

Km’s getting there. The next vid will be a whispered version with lot of tingles 😎
