This brought tears to my eyes and raised the hairs on my skin. Wow! Thanks for taking us along your journey and sharing a part of your culture and life.
truthfully.. everyone of us, especially ASIAN.. whom originated on the SPICE & SILK route tend to have their own stories. me & my wife originated from those 2 route. it's teary to hear how u lament the WAR that happen just around the corner. I myself also teary to know that my ancestor is also originated from indo china region. specifically during CHAMPA KINGDOM.. which is more than 500 years ago.. its 8 generation now; i guess. And its quite a miracle thinking of how our ancestor survive all those chaos years.. and not to forget after the civil war then come the imperialism of french, portugese, british and spain to this ASEAN country.. :(( much had happen, now is the time to progress. but from time to time, its not a sin to visit the ancestor land and pay homage to all of them. MOVING FORWARD. seriously very good content. Terima Kasih
Till this very day I absolutely don’t regret subscribing , this was a very beautiful touching Vlog. Thank you for sharing your personal life with us. I now will plan a trip to vietnam 🇻🇳
Thank you so much Marco. That means a ton as we're still figuring this thing out. We always plan certain things and life never goes as expected. This was one of those videos so that makes me happy.
My girlfriend was a war baby born in Cam Ranh Bay. She went blind at the age of 2 and spent her life looking for her father. He had asked her mother to come to the United States and marry him, but she refused. As a blind Amer-Asian child she was shunned by most people there. Times were different then. She just found her family here two years ago, and is happy. We will be returning to Cam Ranh Bay next year. She has returned several times to visit family, and the three girls who made friends with her. She has no bitterness in her despite the fact that her mother still rejects her. She helps them with money and doctor bills even though she knows they take advantage of her as a "rich" American.
