- Hey folks! Today we are finishing up a T-34/85 in 1/35 scale by Border models which I started a few months ago. We have a few pieces of the construction to finish up and we will be doing some 4BO post shading. Don't forget to like and leave a comment! We will be weathering this tank next so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss the next video!

Amazing results on the t34/85
Thank you!
Hi there fellow armour modeler! I came across your channel and love it! You build armour the way I aspire to make my kits look like. Liked and subscribed to your channel and look forward to viewing your work!
Thank you so much!
Looking good!
Thank you!
Dang, that looks awesome Dave!
Thanks Donnie!
Sweet!
Thanks!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
That white line that the Russians painted around the turret were placed on the tanks entering Berlin at the end of the war.
Thanks for the insight! I love the look of the Soviet armor with the white stripe. I've got an IS-2 in my stash that I have some nice reference photos to use in a Berlin scene that I'm excited to get started.
T34-85 couldn't run without tracks. It was BT series of tanks which could run on wheels without tracks.
I stand corrected. The BT series suspension was copied over to the T-34 but the ability to run on just the roadwheels was eliminated due to the complexity. Good call!
I’ve had best success with greenstuff for welds and milliput or tamiya epoxy for tarps. They just get so thin and stay pretty dang rigid while folding and placing them.
Thanks! I'm gonna try milliput for tarps in the future. I also have some VMS Paper Shaper to try for tarps as well
Question I have is, what are your thoughts on Border & RFM kits? I have the Border 88mm Flak gun and the RFM Sherman Firefly. Struggled a bit with the 88mm and shelved it for now. Haven't started the Firefly, but have seen the kit built and looks to be very detailed, but not too difficult to construct. Love your work!
Great question. I love the RFM kits I've built so far. Engineered to fit like a Tamiya kit. Literally falls together but with incredible details. Border models kits give some very nice details and extra goodies like resin figures and stowage at a good price but they do have fitment issues. Nothing major but noteworthy. I've made both on my channel. Tiger and Sherman were RFM. T-34 was Border
Looks great Storm, I love armor models, I'm working on a 1/16 scale Tiger 1, and you've given me some great ideas, I hope it turns out this good!!!!
Thanks! I believe (based on the community poll) that I will be building the RFM Tiger 1 late production with full interior next. Are you building Andy's tiger 1 from Takom?
@@relentlesstorm Yeah it's Andy's tiger, so far It's been really a good fitting kit, and the details are very good. It's massive lol, I've always built 1/35. The tracks are like 2 feet long laid out. I'm starting to paint it this weekend, wish me luck lol
OK. I have that one in my stash to build as well! I built Andy's Sherman earlier this year and it was an awesome build. Kit went together well and the workable tracks are sweet! I got a stowage set from Andy as well and it really brought that kit to life with the included figure. Enjoy!
Man I like that drill bit set. What brand is that? I really don’t want to buy the god hand version...
It's a cheap set on Amazon. They can be fragile but they are cheap and come in packs - a.co/d/aaIcw2J
Hello, I have a question that is related to the triax paint stand that you have used. I am starting a small 3d print business, and I was wondering if I could print and sell your design of the triax paint stand. Note that I will be only selling physical product and will include your information as the designer.
Thanks for reaching out. Do you have Discord that we can chat about this question?
@@relentlesstorm yes, it is gxalhobbies
As someone who doesn't have a 3d printer, would you be willing to make a stand and sell it to me?
That's a good question. The thing is that the cost of shipping would likely be more expensive than using a block of foam as your base.
You just removed the edge that are very clearly visible on the real tanks.😂
I'm not sure which edge you mean. T-34s were cast different depending on the factory they came from. The castings were slightly different. I used reference photos from a running T-34 I saw in person at a museum in Oshawa and I thought I got it pretty close
