hey man, love your videos. as a structural engineer, are you now used to doing all the calculations of members of a structure? are you able to determine whether a structure is a stable and durable just by taking a quick look by this point? im interested in structural work but im afraid if every work is always going to take a ton of effort and time. it's just so complicated for me since im just a student

Thank you! Like most things, it gets easier the more you practice. At the start everything can seem daunting because you have a lot to learn, but as you slowly learn things one by one, it becomes a lot quicker to complete similar tasks the next time around. Also, yes once you have a more trained eye you can identify whether a design will is ok pretty quickly. Hope this helps :)

Hi man can I ask a quick question I’m a civil student currently and I’m taking complex subjects next semester and I’m thinking since you are more experienced what textbook/s can I invest in that will help me to get a good step by step of calculation basically a civil pocket book that follows AS

Just get the prescribed textbooks, attend all classes, follow lecturer's notes closely and use them as a guide for what to focus on in textbooks.

@ see problem with that is they prescribe books that don’t contain a lot of the needed information for overall structural engineering, mostly just about the topics we will go thru and also they prescribe lots of books which is obviously really expensive, so I just need one that’s recommended by someone that has used it lots and got lots of knowledge from it

I’m currently doing my bachelor degree in civl engineering final year
I just want to upgrade myself to be industry ready but I think only the syllabus is not enough
    What should I do

Seriously, you don't need that much gears at the beginning of your journey you must earn the neediness of iPad by understanding the core and concepts and when you are ready to goo it's the best way I think.😊

Hey im an undergraduate Civil engineer student, I bought my ipad 3 months ago for my studies and it is amazing. But the guy who commented before i did is correct, You dont need an ipad to understand the Core and concepts of C.E but if you have the budget and want something which is conveniet and is lighter than a laptop then you should go for it.
