Same here. I was a 1980s kid, watching this show and many other cool TV shows growing up, having fun and being normal. Nowadays, in both Canada and the United States, I don't like where these countries are going, both culturally and politically. Bottom line, escape to eastern overseas countries i.e., Europe, Asia, etcetera, is the only way out.
@@craigs1437 I remember it in 1960s. I will stick with Great Britain. This little old island has withstood everything the world could throw at her. Hell, she ruled the largest empire the world has ever known - and with a much lighter touch than any previous empire.
As a child, I was lucky enough to have an episode of this show filmed in my neighbourhood...my next door neighbour's house in fact. I was able to meet all of the dogs (there were many dogs...6 or 7 if I remember correctly...that played the role of the Littlest Hobo) and I had my picture taken with them all. I still have those photos and some other 8x10's of the dogs that were given to me by someone in the crew. I remember being so excited when that episode aired and being able to see my neighbourhood, including my house on television. My neighbours were set up in a fancy hotel for a week, while they filmed in their house, but we were actually the lucky ones because we got to see all of the action on the street.
70's and 80's Canadian shows. Beachcombers, Hobo, Night Heat, SCTV, you name it, the greatest decades in CBC broadcasting. Never forget the actors who brought this to us. At that times I was not big on USA shows till later, (happy Days, Laverne and Shirley etc)
God bless you for putting this on the web.. I grew up with Rin tin tin , Lassie , The littlest hobo , Grizzly Adams .. & I owned a regal beautiful ,dog named Tasha , that was a dead ringer for the littlest Hobo & I adored her , as I always will . 🐕🦺🐩🐴🐺🎊🎄Happy New Year from a new subscriber.!
we had to turn the channel over once the music started at the end my kid sister would ball her eyes out ever time, now years later i played this to her and she balled like she was 6 years old Priceless
I used to get upset 😢 seeing the kids who were upset because I kept thinking.. why won't that dog settle down with them as that's what they want.... not realising at age 5 and 6 that it was a TV show and not real life!!!😁
This series was on TV in UK in 1979/1980, I loved this series I was 8 or 9, this song makes me tear up, now I'm 51, seems like yesterday, I wish I could buy the entire series, but where and is it all availableble???
Here’s a reprise for the time he really did find a place to stay. 🎶Somewhere inside me I feared I’d always roam, But that’s behind me. I finally found my home. 🎶🥰😢
If I bite every body outside will you send me a dog surply of dog food for six months and a two weeks vacation on a cruise ship with the president of dog food and snapping turtles
Still brings a tear to my eyes all these years later

Loved it 🇨🇦
My Husband still hums and sings this song randomly after all these years
This song reminds me of living in the UK. Maybe tomorrow...
I would take the UK over America any day. There are also many other countries to explore overseas. America has fallen.
I loved this as a kid, i think it was grundy TV, which is Australian, so we got the show from 87 onwards which i loved.
I remember this as a kid - what a great show
I cried at the end of every episode 😢
I used to get upset 😢 seeing the kids who were upset because I kept thinking.. why won't that dog settle down with them as that's what they want.... not realising at age 5 and 6 that it was a TV show and not real life!!!😁
Out of this world tune
Having this played at my funeral. Death can't come soon enough. 😁
I find adventure every where , original
If this song doesn't make you smile there is something wrong :)

Must have missed this one lol
Here’s a reprise for the time he really did find a place to stay.
🎶Somewhere inside me I feared I’d always roam,
But that’s behind me. I finally found my home. 🎶🥰😢
I grew up watching these in Spanish
I don't know of this show but all I know for the fact is that I came from "A Spaceman came Travelling" and this sounds such a bop.
Remember episode joe a legend
Thanks 👍
Wish I grew up on this.
Best days , littlest hobo , the red hand gang and everything else from tbe 80’s
l did
This show makes me miss the eighties
Oh and a picture with me and All the rappers getting jiggy with it
I'm sure it even sounded bittersweet as a child?! It's the lyrics and a child not understanding why the dog wanted to keep moving around.
These tears ...I didn't cry watching as a child why tears as an adult?
Cute
I wonder if we could go anywhere now with a "Hobo song"
Geoff Lloyd former radio show bought me here
Lovely

je ne loublirait pas le vagabon le generique en français etait tres jolie
Trailer park boys brought me here
❤❤❤❤
❤
Rest in the good news 🌷🌚👍 Okay Bye
😢😢😢
Oh Jesus Christ MY FEELS
This is not the original theme for The Littlest Hobo.
I think it's the longer full version by the same singer, but the TV one is shorter
Yes it's the full version that does sound slightly different from the short TV series.
This song is never far from my mind.
Yes indeed cause they dont make them like this anymore
*sigh*....🥹
If I bite every body outside will you send me a dog surply of dog food for six months and a two weeks vacation on a cruise ship with the president of dog food and snapping turtles
Yes
Hey who are you fulling, this is not the original singer.
Im french and i think, even it's very rare, that the french version is better ...
In the last episode he gets hit by a car and dies alone in a ditch .
You’re going to hell
yea l dint known that
Nice theme but utter rubbish TV show.
Very poor production values.
If memory serves me correctly, I watched this in Black and White in the 60's. Happy days, but nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
Awwww I had forgotten this song >> Sobs
