10:34; I had noticed the whole Wakanda thing before, I’m surprised nobody was talking about the obvious lines of F ascism there. It’s technically a Monarchy with a ton of Nationalism, an ethno-State, and Anti-immigration to be exact.
But it's a black authoritarian ethnostate so it's fine.
At the beginning of the story, and then the characters learn that this way of governance is bad, actually. This was a huge meme among the alt right dipshits when the movie came out because they didn't actually watch it all the way through.

8:38 i think the reason is because of how r/PCM considers the quadrants. The test specifies that the left-right axis is exclusively about economics (that's a dumb thing to say considering some of the questions on there are about left-roght culturally) so while supposedly the difference between the blue and yellow quadrant is only that one is auth and the other lib but both economically right (same thing for red and green but economically left) the subreddit has instead formed the idea that auth left and lib right are about economy, the former being left and authoritarian and the latter being right and libertarian, and neutral about culture since it interests them less than economy while lib left and auth right are about culture, with lib left being cultural left and libertarian while auth right is cultural right wing and authoritarian while both don't care too much about economy. Sure, there is some crossover, an auth right person who dislikes cultural progressivism probably also dislikes economic socialism so will often be right-leaning economically for example, but regardless i still like this model. As someone in the libright quadrant (close to lib center but doesn't matter too much) i can attest that, as much as i dislike tankies and their economic theory that doesn't work, at least they have an economic theory and they agree with us that discussions should start at a material level of resources instead of immediately shifting the discussion into "helping minorities against the white racists" like the lib left or "securing the existance of our race and a future for white children" like the lib right without explaining where the funds to do that come from and how to do it without causing more harm than good.
Sorry for the wall of text, i look like a lib left. **TL;DR** lib left and auth right care about culture and "the good thing to do", lib right and auth left about economy and "the smart thing to do" so despite the radical differences the opposites can at least argue from the same foundations while neighbours get hung up in definitions and have misunderstandings. I don't like tankies but at least they read theory unlike their lib counterparts.
In all fairness, the political quadrant is dumb. There must exist at least 3 axes - authoritarianism/anarchism, communism/capitalism, progressive/conservative, representing the authoritarian axis, the economic axis, and the cultural axis. Liblefts care about economics as they view all hierarchy and oppression as evil, including the hierarchy of the worker/owner and the rich/poor. It is to this end that they care about economics. Authright generally views communism (sometimes also capitalism, as exemplified by the most famous example) as a plot devised by a certain ethnic group. Authlefts are varied on the cultural axis, but are united in the support of a strong state and communism, whereas librights are the opposite but lean more towards authright cultural views.

The political compass is a pretty rubbish model of politics, the only things its got going for it are:
A) it’s easy to understand what it’s showing (unfortunately it doesn’t show much of any value)
B) almost all the other models are even more shit or are just downright misleading
I was surprised to find that almost all American politicians (even in Elizabeth Warren) fall into the upper right quadrant, though she is near the center and Trump is much farther toward the far corner.
I figured I might fall slightly toward the lower left of the center (as Bernie does) but was greatly surprised to find that I actually landed in the far lower-left corner, anarcho-communist.
I mean I knew I was somewhat sympathetic in that direction, but I never imagined I really go all the way.
