You're a star! Tried to switch to Studio One 6.2 but its such chaos after Live 11 and nothing is obvious even C&V. But I decided to bring some of the good features back into Live and one was to stop being lazy and set up key shortcuts - so that I can really be lazy lol
Great tut! I've just got ClipGain but I find it hard to map it out with Ableton Live 11 for Mac. I cannot drag the floating icon with mouse. Could you please elaborate on how to use it?
You should be able to drag the slider to adjust gain. Make sure you have a clip selected before you bring the floating window up. It looks like the newest version of ClipGain allows you to map out Gain +/- without even pulling up the floating window. So on the plugin I have now mapped out Gain to Shift + { } to move gain up and down
Hi I am new to Live and I still use Logic I am trying to find a way to map a keyboard start of the play head to the Return Key so the play head can go to the beginning how do I do that ? Thanks great video
In Ableton, when you hit stop twice, it returns to the beginning of your session. So probably your best solution would be to map STOP to your return key so that by hitting the return key twice you will go back to the beginning.
Hi @hazel9596 I am also having trouble to map it out with Ableton Live 11 in Mac. I cannot drag the floating icon with mouse. Did you find a way of using it?
hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha omggggggggggggggg my $3 is ur $3.......................... clip gain........................... what in the world is this sorcery.................................................. major major major BIG TY!!!!!!!!
can you map the piano roll? also more complex things like fades, automation types, like lots of the things you can do in ableton? switching to abletons biggest issue is that it isnt straightforward to just port in whatever daw your used to's hotkey layout you have made, why isnt all the potential hotkey options in a list where you can just assign new key commands to what you want like logic? somethings ableton does so well, other things are terrible.
Thanks Bro!!! I've been using Ableton since version 5 and just now made shortcuts thanks to you!

Glad you're sticking with Ableton brotha! Maybe someday they'll let us have the more advanced custom shortcut features that other DAWs have! lol

Can I change Shift+Space to Space button ?
No, but you can do that with this Max for Live device from Oaktone www.oaktone.com/collections/software/products/pause-button

Thanks. Anyone know if or how you can change SNAP keys? (Always found CTRL 1,2,3,4 etc a pain)
Unfortunately not yet!
you have to do this for every session?
No. Set up your shortcuts in a blank session, then set that session as your default session and they will be there every time you open up Live!
Hi, i couldn't map my clip gain like yours, how did u do it? HELPPP
In order to set it up like I have in this video, you need a third party MAX for Live device that you can get here! valiumdupeuple.gumroad.com/l/wmAPD

Yeah can’t do any of that yet! Maybe someday we will get truly customizable shortcuts like other DAWs.
