Dear god, that video had as mentioned countless errors, and the so called "nazi symbols" were ancient Norse runes just to name one of the unforgiveable errors.
Yea, the designer deserve an "A" in history because it is a way of retaking the symbols, teach people the correct meaning of them.
Saxa runecarver, those two runes is among those I use the most in bindrunes, for protection and courage (the true meaning of TY is courage)

We have loads of forrest TODAY because of anti deforrestation messurements taken in the 70s.
You REALLY should see some pictures of places in norway in the 1960s compared to today and you will learn how insanly barren most places was.
Forrest today have around 50years before they are allowed to cut it unless they have a permit. (Then last time i looked it can be as low as 20years)
And then they need to replant the field they have taken forrest from.
Yeah this video (the one reacted to not the reaction video itself which is fun) is sensationalist and most of the points are either wrong or partly wrong. Really bad research or they just decided to make points more sensationalist and/or political.

Hey you :) I'm a norwegian, and I just want to add some comments... It´s not a fact that it´s winter and snowing all year round... We have 4 seasons... The winter, and snow usually starts around mid november, and lasts till March... March and April are considered spring months, the snow melts away within a few weeks, and everything turns green and lush, and it´s often quite warm and sunny... From mid May till end of August is considered summer months, and it can be really warm.. this summer for instance we've had several periods of temperatures over 30 degrees celsius ( above zero, that would be haha ) And then finally we have the autumn in September and October, and it´s always so very beautiful... the leaves turns to gold and bright red, you can take hikes into the forrests and mountains and pick wild blueberries, cloudberries, lingonberries and different kind of mushrooms, and if there's a spring you can stop drinking the pure, clear, cold water straight from the source itself, and the clear blue sky and fresh air on the sunny days are breathtakingly amazing, both the scenery and the feelings you get from it - so Norway and Norwegian landscape and weather is so much more than snow and freezing temperatures :) By the way, I loved your reaction thou - I just wanted to clear up some wrongs :)

I have to say something of importance:
The symbols on Ike Olympic sweaters are NOT nazi.
They are 2 Protogermanic RUUNES, the Tiwaz Rune and the Ehwas Rune. The Tiwaz Rune is a Rune of Courage, as it represents the Germanic/Norse god "Tyr" whom sacrificedvhus swords arm so the Gods could securely tie the Wolf Fenrik. The Ehwas Rune is a Rune of stylized Elk (the Antlers) and is a protection Rune.
I do Viking Reenactment and I'm tired of lies about Nazi Symbols. Truth is that there are no nazi Symbols,there are symbols from around the world, specially Norse and Germanic, that that the Nazies used. The only way to remove the Nazies Power over the symbols is to use them correctly.

There is a difference between treecutting and deforestation. We are allowed to cut trees, but are then obligated to plant new ones to make it all sustainable =)
Alux has got to be the worst fact channels I’ve ever seen.. The part of the country where they say has snow and 0 degrees all year had 32 degrees C last week lol..

This symbol ᛏ is not a symbol for "the attacking vikings", but the symbol for the Norse god named Ty, which was the god of honor, justice, law and war. It was used in Norway a thousand years before Hitler was born. This symbol ᛉ is a symbol for the animal that we call elg and the Americans call moose. The symbol ᚨ symbol for the word "ass", which is the norse word for "god". None of this has anything to do with nazis, no matter how much Adolf Hitler wished he could be tall and blond.
The thing about ban on tree cutting, I have no idea where even comes from. It's definitely not true, but it's too bizarre to be upsetting.

True story when it comes to "Nazi" symbols. The Nazis stole those symbols from us Vikings. So that symbol with an arrow pointing up is ours and not the Nazis. Just saying.
This isn't very correct. Lappland is not in Norway, tree cutting is not illegal, we do have national parks where things are prohibited..

There's three countries on the peninsula.
Norway on the western side of the mountains (for the most part), Sweden (on the eastern side for the most part), and a tiny bit of northern Finland up north is also on the same peninsula.
The rest of Finland and Russia is outside the peninsula I'd say (there's a tiny bit west of Murmansk that *maybe* could be considered a part of the peninsula, but eh...)
Anyway, Norway is hardly ruling the peninsula, given that Sweden had twice our population and more landmass as well...
You have your own Fiordland in NZ with equally impressive views.

- Temperatures arent always freezing. We had 33 degrees this summer.

I'm a norweigian. and this video is FULL of errors. A bottle of water for 5 US dollars? No. 2 is more correct. And No, It doesn't snow all year. Not even in Svalbard. There is about 5 million people here, and only 1 mill in the "Greater Oslo Area". So No. Most people dont live there. The Nazi-symbol thing is blown out of proportion. There is a outer far right fring group calleb "Den nordiske motstandsbevegelsen", a swedish group, mainly with a few hundred members that use that old Norse Rune. But they stole it. and misuse it.
Lot of other "facts" that is totally bogus in this video. The child abuse case, though was real. In one tiny community where "everybody" abused "everybody". It was not widespread all over. Just in that place. That case was a shock for us North-Norwegians as well.

So many errors and misconceptions, so much misinformation and ignorance...
- The initial images showing luxury lifestyle aren't Norwegian at all. No Norwegian would show off in any way, and especially not the way the images shown try to imply, not even the wealthiest among us. It is seen as vulgar and braggy. Which is also why so few people outside of Norway know about our billionaires.
- The Olympic skiing team did NOT have Nazi symbols on their jumpers, they had ancient Norse letters called runes on them. The speaker is ignorant about them. The T-rune is not an "attacking rune", as she claims, it is a rune that stands for the god Tyr, our god of law and justice, and speaks of strength, courage, and fair play. By using it, we take it back from the Nazi and their misuse. In a ski competition it is the perfect symbol.
- The first image shown under #8, is not related to any Norwegian event whatsoever, but looks to be from the Phillippines. And, showing random photos of Sámi in their traditional outfit (nowadays mostly used on special occasions) in such a context is not only irrelevant, it is outright disrespectful. The vast majority of the people in the northern regions - 93,5% - are NOT Sámi, and in most of the cases of abuse in our northern regions, it is not disclosed who the perpetrators and the victims are.
- We haven't "banned tree cutting" - the mere idea is ridiculous. We cut trees for building materials and for firewood. 85% of us live in houses mainly built from wood, and 60% of us heat our homes mainly with wood.
- Norway gives Christmas trees to no less than 16 - sixteen - British cities every Christmas, not only to London and its Trafalgar Square.

So times honesty is important. You cannot be all good, I'm not sure if we're "cherry picking" facts those should be included, but history and the modern world are full of mistakes and/or things we should try to improve, denying them won't make it better.

Nope, we are member of Schengen, EFTA and we have a contract about trade and work with EU, but we are not a member of EU. We had an election about this in 1994, where the EU fans lost. This is also why Norway managed the eqonomic crises after the "Glitnir" situation on Iceland.
