You are the second person I have seen recommend this Bible. Also, I bought the same “large” tote. It was much smaller than I expected also. I use it on the table next to my chair to hold my commentary and other reference books. I have the Mr. Pen highlighters and you are correct that they are the GOAT. The Bible is so precious, I always recall the reaction of Christians to receiving one as a gift when they can't freely buy one, that I read about in a Bible College textbook. I would say the Bible is the most premium book there is, and regardless of how many or few additions there may be like commentaries and study helps there may be...you are giving a great gift when you give the unadorned Word of God.
That's the regular price, thankfully! I chose the NLT because it's easier for folks to understand over the ESV. But that's a great deal on the ESV Bible!
Same. That's why I love my little compact bibles. I just need to find a cute little bag to keep it in while it's in my purse so the pages don't get all messed up.

Nice bag set up. I take the Olive KJV compact bible with me being I walk almost everywhere I go with a nice sized notebook. So much easier on my shoulders 😁

I am looking for something that is weather resistant. And protect my stuff I want it to stay in a car.
I'll be on the lookout for something like that! This tote is not weather resistant even though I do keep it in my car.
I use a mini backpack and I keep a backpack rain cover in the backpack's front zipper pocket that I can put on the backpack, if it is raining.
