    I'm so glad I found this!! Following another's instructions has given me an obvious seam that was driving me nuts and I was going to abandon project.

    This is the best, hands down, moss stitch blanket ever! Thank you so much for sharing. I'm going to try the rectangle blanket next💕

      Thank you for your kind words and enthusiasm for my design! I'm happy to know you're keen to try the rectangle. Just so you know, I'm currently working on a two-color rectangle, just like the radiating moss stitch square, only in the shape of a rectangle. I'm using a solid color yarn alternating with a self striping cake yarn. It's really pretty! I'll be posting a video on that, one of these days. Please subscribe, if you haven't already, and click the little bell, so you don't miss it.

    If I may make a suggestion, if you put crochet with your name -for your channel name-you should then gain traction with followers.

    Can this method be used if colour changes are required? If yes, how/ where would I introduce the new colour?

    • @CherylDFloyd
      @CherylDFloyd  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Please see my video on the Radiating Moss Stitch Square for using 2 colors, alternating every round.

  • @katielyb
    @katielyb ปีที่แล้ว +1

    May I ask why make the turns when you can just continue each round in the same direction?

    • @CherylDFloyd
      @CherylDFloyd  ปีที่แล้ว

      Turning each round counteracts the tendency of crochet stitches to lean in one direction.

    • @katielyb
      @katielyb ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CherylDFloyd yes, I figured that out. Thank you for responding. Most people don't for videos from this many years ago. This pattern is a bit tricky, really. It's too bad that it can't just be done in rounds. I do appreciate that you took the time to be so descriptive and share these tutorials. I've been at this crochet thing for a while but I find reading patterns to be difficult. I do know quite a few more terms than I used to though, so I might be able to pick it up nowadays.

    I've never done the moss stitch before. Why do you turn after every row?

    • @CherylDFloyd
      @CherylDFloyd  ปีที่แล้ว

      I turn after every round on a center-out square to keep it from "swirling."

    Hi how can I use the magic ring to turn it into a rectangle moss stitch blanket please

    • @CherylDFloyd
      @CherylDFloyd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have another video on the moss stitch rectangle. It starts with a sc foundation chain, not a magic ring.

    About how much yarn is needed for each square??

    • @CherylDFloyd

      Approximately 2.0 oz (57 g/97 yds/89 m) of medium-weight or 10-ply yarn (#4).

    What's the difference in this stitch and the linen square stitch???

    • @CherylDFloyd
      @CherylDFloyd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The linen stitch and the moss stitch are the same stitch. The difference in this video is how I join in the corner to make a less obvious seam.
