    Literally everything about its intended positioning makes me feel uncomfortable. Can't deny the craftsmanship and quality but it is just way too over the top.
    and the sound of the leather squeaking is making my jaw ache. 🤢

    Master Cozmei has come up with an ingenious design. I love your videos, Armin. It's good to have someone so knowledgeable and experienced, yet is just a regular guy who's not full of himself. You seem to be actually more interested in the archery and the products that you're reviewing than just talking a lot. I also love that you're willing to try new things.

    Hello Armin,
    Not related to this quiver review, but have no idea how to raise question to you. For historical bow, Should we consider arrow on spine or weight. Some said that go with right spine ,but some said get 10+ grains/pound weight arrows. The question is specified for historical bows (turkish , chinese) with thumb draw.

    • @ArminHirmer
      @ArminHirmer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      usually asiatic bows go with weight, spine is then a natural byproduct. depending on the bow the min gpp is important

    • @ArminHirmer

      yes, the asiatic way of shooting. thumb release or slavic release - both have the arrows on the right side of the bow

    i think he pushes the bow forward with his front arm for about 80% of the draw and his back hand is stationary, just holding the string in set position, while you did the the standard puling the bow with back arm for majority of the draw.
    He said he aims better like that for instinctive, because its similar how you aim with the punching, where you point the fist, arrow goes

    I really like the idea of the Quiver on the hip, although I would want one that holds 12 a little lower. I really like the hip version in the video called "Katariina Cozmei on different quivers" right at the start of the video. although i bet it sits differently on a mans body.

  • @shushuyu
    @shushuyu 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    it looks nice but i guess we really have different definitions of rapid fire. when i think of horseback archery and rapid fire i think of lajos kassai. that guy is bad ass. if anyone can become proficient in that mongol shooting style they won't need "quivers" like this because they're basically holding most of the arrows on the same hand they're holding the bow with. rather than thinking that the quiver set up can make you shoot faster people should work on their nocking skills because even if the arrows are-automatically fed to you with some hi-tech contraption it won't matter if you can't nock the arrows to the string fast and consistent enough lmao

    • @acsimark
      @acsimark 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do shot 4 arrows in 3,5 sec and say that quiver is essential.
      Nobody rides with 18 arrows graped on bow hand.
      If Kassai style would start from quiver they would not even make the second layer of arrows.
      Fast shoting happens from release hand pulled from quiver.
      It is also worth to mention that reloading this quiver is almost as time consuming as loading multiple layers of arrows on bow hand.
      A quiver should dispens arrows like a magazine.

    • @rj6672
      @rj6672 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some horseback archery competitions dictate that you must take the arrows from a quiver and not hold them in the hand (eg Korean, IHAA Raid tracks)

    Mihály's work is creative and he distinguishes himself through the advancement of today's trendy horse - archery. But this activity - sport was rediscovered about 35 years ago with the likes of Lajos Kassai and others. The warriors of the Steppes, perfected the bows, quivers, tack, equipment for over a period of 2500 years, and it worked amazingly. In view of this, I'm an advocate of using the knowledge and traditions already created centuries ago, specially if we are determined to use "traditional horse bows" for our activity - sport!

    • @ArminHirmer
      @ArminHirmer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      fine by me. and it does not mean, that we have to stick to the traditional things without overthinking or perfecting them with the knowledge and tools we have today

    • @laszloberes4266
      @laszloberes4266 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Armin Hirmer Your are right Armin, we can and do use modern technology, i.e., fiberglass, kevlar, glues and other materials used in the bows, and actually works better for our modern day purposes, but how we use them has not really been altered over time because it "works"! So, this quiver is a response to horse-archers who are unwilling or just do not have the determination to learn the already proven and most efficient ways :-) Like I said, today we are in the developmental (meaning, lots of crazy ideas and haphazard theoretical methods) stages of modern day horse-archery. I see this internationally, and much appreciate your "equipment" testing - trial videos, and expertise. Keep it going! :-)

    • @acsimark
      @acsimark 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@laszloberes4266 speaking of traditional, the spirit what Mihai had in his quiver development was the spirit of our ancestors in their ways making things now we call traditional.
      They never ever considered staying with traditional methods if someone found a better way, they adopted instantly.
      By the way I was ment to teached in Kassai style but it limits the bow and the user in same time.
      For this quiver you should forget backyard archery this piece was ment for war gear.

    • @laszloberes4266
      @laszloberes4266 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Zimmermann Márk It would be interesting to see it in action with armor and all on :-) I tried back quiver just to see, but having my archery equipment, spear, shield, sword, armor and all, it was not working, however I was re-enacting the true nomadic warrior who used all these in war :-)

    Hi Armin, although the quiver looks cool, I thing that this design, force you off the normal convenient shooting stance and dramatically limits the shooting movements. Looks really awkward when you shoot, making you appear like you really struggling in order to aim. From the other hand, with this much money you get adecent entry level bow.

    • @gizmonomono
