I just bought a 2000 KTM 200 EXC a few months back and love it. I wasn’t really looking for one that old but once I saw how clean it was I ended up buying it. I’m over 300 pounds and this bike throws me around like a rag doll. Which surprised me a lot having riden a few 250s. Once I get it re sprung and valved it’ll definitely be a good contender for some hare scrambles
I've got a 2012 200XC-W which I picked up with 1.5 hours on it. Blew the gearbox in December at 10 hours (it had stood for 10 years - powervalve bearing failed). Anyway, just got it back after rebuild and it is THE best bike I've ever ridden. Up to 15 hours now and man, it is SO much fun. Cheers!
Mime is an 08. First year for the 200 on a 250 frame. The front is still light but I like it. I rode a friend's crf 250 the other day and couldn't wait to get back on my 200 lol.

Do you remember the previous owner explaining why they put the recluse on, the reason I ask is I see a lot of 200s with recluses so it’s either that a lot of new riders are on 200s or in single track they’re having stall issues, maybe a little bit of both. Just thought I’d ask for your input. I ride an 2022 FX 350 which is perfect for the kind of trails that you were riding there where you can get into third gear a lot in BC we do a lot of rocks and roots and really tight single track where you’re almost always in first or second and this bike might be a nice tool for the job.
I think they have a little bit of snow on the ground up that way. Trails closed on the 15th of this month. I live in The southern hills and mostly ride private. It’s hit or miss this time of year. No snow on the ground right now where I live but that can change pretty quickly
Hello the engine sound is normal? You have any problem with this engine? I have 200 exc and my engine sound is similar. I think have a problem in engine. Is posible?
@@blackhillsdualsport I have a 2012 200exc too, maybe he refers to the sound when the exhaust valve opens and there is the real full power. Mine works and sounds like this ⚡⚡⚡ really amazing

Get a sx ecu and pipe and they become even more fun. Sx200 is one the best 200s if not the best ever made. 125 top end but still good bottom.
Sold the 2hundy a month ago. Loved that bike!!
