Nice game! Table looks great and I like the over table view. 👍 It would be really nice to see you do some games for other periods, like Pike & Shot. Matthew has been show casing his Thirty Years War forces on Facebook and they would be great for a game of For King & Parliament, or Pike & Shotte. 😀
Fantasic vid! Always love me an FbF video. Visual work really well. If it's possible to keep having the die rolls shown. I know you guys didn't want to do a "how to", but it can really be helpful even as people play the game, just to remind players. The hardest thing for newer players is the dice combinations, so showing those explicitly for the different troop types is SUPER helpful. The two other hard parts are the Op fire rules (i.e. why didn't the squad in the house open up on the bazooka that moved up to shoot it?). And Line of Sight, especially through hedgerows with that 90deg arc outside of the hedgerow. Either way, great video!
An unopened copy of this ruleset was available at our con two weeks ago. None of us could figure out who was selling the items on that table. I tried to get it but will have to order it instead.
@@MarksGameRoom Not a big fan of Facebook. I did ask a couple of questions on the yahoo replacement. Our game (German's with an extra StugIII managed to lose 3 tanks to the 57mm (Atomic ) MVP Cannon. They did manage to get one Marder off the board and organized what was left of 2 platoons to charge the objective building they needed to win in Turn 7 only to lose to the great morale rolls of Lt. Turnbull. Came down to the last close combat. Exciting stuff. The game was set-up really by a squad delaying action in the orchard that targeted the MMG and CO and a squad on the road. The CO and Plt Leaders had to waste time getting everyone sorted out and moving again. Thanks for the great scenarios!
Interesting scenario! I'm curious about one thing: what's the story with the German AFVs? In the rulebook, the scenario just says the Germans are "Elements of 1058th Grenadier Regiment" [thus from 91. (LL) Infanterie-Division] and the AFVs are an "Assault Gun Platoon". Are the AFVs historical, and if so what's their parent unit? Or were they just included for play balance? My quick Google-fu didn't indicate anything...
Hi Dave! It been a few years since I wrote the scenario so I don't recall off the top of my head. I try to be historically accurate in all of my scenarios but this may have been a little bit of play balance and also ...I had two Marder minis waiting for a scenario! If I get a minuite I will look at my source for this and see what it says.
@@MarksGameRoom Cool, thanks! I've read a couple of accounts of the battle without mention of any German vehicles. Of course the wonderful internet also disagrees on his posthumous Silver Star being for this action, or the next day when he was killed. From what I've found, the 91st only had Panzerjäger-Kompanie 191, with "6x 7.5cm Pak" It doesn't say they were SP, but they could have been...

Reconnaissance by fire is FIRING on a suspected enemy position to reveal hidden units, not running into an open field trying to draw fire from hidden enemies lol Herr Matthias, the Oberst wishes to see you in his command bunker....
I like the new format. The graphical breakdown of the plan is good.
Thanks Tom!

Great to watch a new FF report!👍👍I agree with what others have already said, the tactical visuals work well😀😀
This is a very entertaining video, which deserves more views.
Throughly enjoyable!

Salute.
Well done and a great looking game! 15mm?
Oh heck yeah!!!!!!!!!
I JUST finished painting/decaling my Marders and StuGs for this scenario!

Where do you guys get your MDF bases?

@@davefranklin4136it reminds me of an old ASL scenario which did have Marders. Doesn’t mean that was definitively correct though.

Great game really enjoyed it 👍🤠🤠🤠🇺🇸
That’s right Alex don’t let Matt cheat you out of your victory.
